  • How do you get DM780 to run at the SAME TIME using RigBlaster P&P? The "catch 22" seems to be that the RigBlaster uses Com Port 4 and HRD will work fine in that config... but the DM780 needs a different Com port which, since it won't be the Com Port 4 that the RigBlaster is on (not allowed!) then fails to talk to the FT897.

Bottom line: I can only get HRD *OR* the DM780 to work at one time but NOT BOTH TOGETHER through the stupid RigBlaster P&P. Arrrgh!

  • @mstax I checked the Web and there seems to be a real problem getting HRD+DM780 to work with the RigBlaster P&P. The FT897 is not the only radio that has the problem with working with a RigBlaster P&P and HRD_DM780. DM780 by its self seems to work with the RigBlaster. Using MixW seems to work. Another solution to the problem is to send the RigBlaster to eBay and get a SignaLink USB. Two cables to the SignaLink and a CAT cable from PC to the radio. Works great with HRD+DM780. 73, N7JFP

  • what cable do you use to communicate to the program a cat cable or a data cable?

  • @chelloplayer128 I use the Yaesu CT62 CAT Interface cable from the back side CAT port of the FT-897 and my PC serial port. It works great if the data rates match between the FT897 and DM780. 73, N7JFP
