Maria Callas fue, es y será excepcional, yo entiendo que haya personas que no les guste el tono, tipo ó forma de voz, pero creo que se debe respetar a La Callas y a sus espectadores, fans admiradores. Creo que esto pasó un límite. Yo admiro a María Callas, me encanta y la oigo todo el día en mis ratos libre, me ayuda en todo momento: estudiando, trabajando, manejando y descansando, yo creo que hay formas sutiles de poder decir cosas con respeto. La Callas delimitó una era en la Ópera Viva Callas

I love the archival footage though it must have been after 1949, as at that time callas had not slimmed down. I'm so happy these clips from the 1949 Norma have surfaced- Thanks so much- Ernesto

She was a phenomenon vocally - and a very great musician and actress to boot, which puts her in a category by herself. All who have come after her, special qualities notwithstanding, can only aspire to her level of greatness.

Simply amazing. The sound quality is so clear... And her voice is better than it's ever been. I'd argue the control and clarity is better than even her 1952-1953 years, though I think (and some may disagree) she got this control back in the amazing year of 1955.
