Love the song, and love your playing. I teach 5 other instruments, and now I GOTTA get me a Ukelele, teach myself, and then start teaching it. It is such a COOL instrument and sounds SO NEAT. I will look for more of your vids. Thanks so much for posting.
I love it, but try continuing swinging the 8th notes through the runs, too. You swing everything but it; so, it sounds kind of awkward. thanks. It sounds great
Oh, almost forgot... all of the "techiques" -- ways of playing in the Rock Idiom are here -- hammer ons, pull offs, neighbors, arpeggiated chords -- the whole business of it.
yes i agree. very excellent song. but in my humble opinion, i think youre going overboard by labeling it the "greatest" song ever written. also the riffs giving birth to blues and rock seem a little off. if you listen to it carefully this is a standard classical composition with simple a chordal progression. nothing too groundbreaking even back in the day it was composed. the greatest song gong to me goes to "stairway to heaven" by led zeppelin. thanks for reading pops.
Just the intro, jimmy didn't hide the fact he copied it either. On the other hand, your so called "greatest" song ever written reeks of melodies, syncopation and chordal progressions long pioneered by well renowned classical heroes.
Drawing conclusions when one has very little knowledge or understanding of the subject at hand (music), playing with words and name-calling makes you look like an idiot.
Just spend more time with your kid and compliment your wife more.
You're one of my pets on Youtube. :) So you'll have to excuse me whilst I enjoy picking at your head for a few weeks longer.
Reading your comments and reading your profile amuse me more than I seem to amuse you. Never did I think the level of maturity of someone could be inversely proportional to their age.
Oh yes, and by the way my dear pet. Your response isn't a valid argument. Your so called "greatest song" IS in fact not all that great after all. Technically, it's not even a song.
It's just a simple tune. A movement of parts for traditional dance.
Stairway to heaven, though not released as a single due to it's length of playtime has been voted by critics and fans alike as being the greatest song of all time. Time and time again :)
No response? Pity. Has the one trick pony run out of tricks?
1) You wantonly flaunt your 'superior' intellect against teen fans of LedZep on youtbe. By doing this you fool no-one but yourself and show everyone how IMMATURE you are at 43.
2) You digress and criticise words and sentences to dodge the argument at hand. You by doing this resort to tactics typical of 12 yr olds.
Anyway. Cheers, hugs to your kid & wife.

Pier likes to pretend he knows what he is talking about when it comes to music theory, but he clearly knows nothing, I have disproved him on here when was trying to tell me how the intro was played for Nobody's Fault But Mine by LZ, so I went and made a video for the little troll to show him exactly how it is played,,, He started directing all of his attacks on the new LZ reunion videos on here towards me for a while after I proved him wrong with my video
But he has been extremely quiet for the past few days, I think that maybe the troll has found new feeding grounds where he won't get slaughtered by a bunch of Zeppelin warriors!!!!
This piece is great by all means, but to say that all rock and roll and the blues came from this single piece alone is the biggest pile of BS I have heard blurt out of your mouth in the whole time I have had encounters with you on You Tube!!!
Honey, they shrunk his guitar!! Good job on that little instrument!! I picked it out on my bass (see video) but I see you have a more complete version ... must study this! 5 stars! :)
Thanks. I worked it up by ear and have not written it down. I'd like to tab it out, but that takes time and isn't nearly as fun for me as playing or working up something new. I'll let you know when/if I get tablature.
Hey that's some grand playing indeed, very impressive.

Why do you pretend to have this great knowledge of musical theory when you clearly don't know much about it at all??
Can you explain o me what you meant by "neighbors", and also, you don't have to say arpeggiated chords, Arpeggios are what they are called!!
Also, I think you are miles off when you say that ALL Rock n Roll, and "tne Blues" as you put it most definitely didn't all stem from this song!!!
