    Steven

  • I love it, but try continuing swinging the 8th notes through the runs, too. You swing everything but it; so, it sounds kind of awkward. thanks. It sounds great

  • Nice!

  • And Tom the cabin boy smiled, and said nothing...

  • Well done!!!

  • That was glorious... I'm going to go learn this on guitar.

    Thank you.

  • This is great! Thanks for sharing it. I have to wonder if you are also a banjo picker. And if not, why?

  • this is not used for blue peter

  • Don't shorten "ukulele hunt" to "uke hunt" when talking to a woman.

  • good

  • lmao XD

  • You gently start swaying more an more as the song goes on, by 1:10 it's like you're gonna tip over =P

  • I still can't believe how good you can make a ukelele sound! Great stuff

  • Fabulous rendition...with all the RIGHT notes, which the chromatic banjo players leave out and substitute something else in its place!

  • LoL, I used to think the exact same thing, I actually had a Ukulele as a child, but I ended up breaking it!!!

But I always thought that they were just toys, but I now realize different!!!

  • i love your music

  • Bravo

  • wow fast fingers lol cool :)

  • hahahaha immence

  • Cap' Pugwash!

  • The sound of an ukulele just makes me laugh:)

makes me think of "Tiny Tim"

  • how long did it took to learn that?

  • wow thats amazing^^

  • Oh, almost forgot... all of the "techiques" -- ways of playing in the Rock Idiom are here -- hammer ons, pull offs, neighbors, arpeggiated chords -- the whole business of it.

  • Greatest song written, ever. You give us a treat by a smashing performance.

If you listen to the "riffs", you will hear that all Rock and Roll and tne "Blues" all come from this one song.

  • yes i agree. very excellent song. but in my humble opinion, i think youre going overboard by labeling it the "greatest" song ever written. also the riffs giving birth to blues and rock seem a little off. if you listen to it carefully this is a standard classical composition with simple a chordal progression. nothing too groundbreaking even back in the day it was composed. the greatest song gong to me goes to "stairway to heaven" by led zeppelin. thanks for reading pops.

  • Stairway to Heaven?

Ah, the Randy California song stolen by Jimmy Plagiarist and Fraudbert Plant.

  • Just the intro, jimmy didn't hide the fact he copied it either. On the other hand, your so called "greatest" song ever written reeks of melodies, syncopation and chordal progressions long pioneered by well renowned classical heroes.

Drawing conclusions when one has very little knowledge or understanding of the subject at hand (music), playing with words and name-calling makes you look like an idiot.

Just spend more time with your kid and compliment your wife more.

  • You amuse.

You ought to stop obsessing with me and find a hobby.

Keep dancing attached to the strings as I pull them.

  • You're one of my pets on Youtube. :) So you'll have to excuse me whilst I enjoy picking at your head for a few weeks longer.

Reading your comments and reading your profile amuse me more than I seem to amuse you. Never did I think the level of maturity of someone could be inversely proportional to their age.

  • Oh yes, and by the way my dear pet. Your response isn't a valid argument. Your so called "greatest song" IS in fact not all that great after all. Technically, it's not even a song.

It's just a simple tune. A movement of parts for traditional dance.

Stairway to heaven, though not released as a single due to it's length of playtime has been voted by critics and fans alike as being the greatest song of all time. Time and time again :)

I eagerly await your childish response. :)

  • will you please shut the fuck Up !

  • No response? Pity. Has the one trick pony run out of tricks?

    1) You wantonly flaunt your 'superior' intellect against teen fans of LedZep on youtbe. By doing this you fool no-one but yourself and show everyone how IMMATURE you are at 43.

    2) You digress and criticise words and sentences to dodge the argument at hand. You by doing this resort to tactics typical of 12 yr olds.

Anyway. Cheers, hugs to your kid & wife.

  • Pier likes to pretend he knows what he is talking about when it comes to music theory, but he clearly knows nothing, I have disproved him on here when was trying to tell me how the intro was played for Nobody's Fault But Mine by LZ, so I went and made a video for the little troll to show him exactly how it is played,,, He started directing all of his attacks on the new LZ reunion videos on here towards me for a while after I proved him wrong with my video

  • But he has been extremely quiet for the past few days, I think that maybe the troll has found new feeding grounds where he won't get slaughtered by a bunch of Zeppelin warriors!!!!

    Poor Poor Pier!!!

  • Pier Pier!!!

Why do you pretend to have this great knowledge of musical theory when you clearly don't know much about it at all??

Can you explain o me what you meant by "neighbors", and also, you don't have to say arpeggiated chords, Arpeggios are what they are called!!

Also, I think you are miles off when you say that ALL Rock n Roll, and "tne Blues" as you put it most definitely didn't all stem from this song!!!

  • This piece is great by all means, but to say that all rock and roll and the blues came from this single piece alone is the biggest pile of BS I have heard blurt out of your mouth in the whole time I have had encounters with you on You Tube!!!

  • ROFL SO GOOD!

  • Esto es fantástico!!!

  • Popeye ftw!

  • GORGEOUS!!!! :D sorry for the caps... but i really love this one

  • Love this tune, very calming. For all you out there who like it, search for Mike oldfileds version!!

incedentally, im told its the only tune thats impossible to whistle............bet your trying it now!! if anyone can whistle it, post it on here!!!

  • i wistle it perfectly

  • I am Sincerely Impressed.And I am not being Sarcastic.Beautiful Piece.

  • Wonderful. Simply wonderful.

  • impressive, thats also the blue peter theme tune, which is a british television programme for kids.

  • excellent !!!

  • hmmm that's awesome

  • uhm... as an afterthought, I see a lot of the tab sites have been taken down by the "authorities". Very dismayed to see this ...

  • Honey, they shrunk his guitar!! Good job on that little instrument!! I picked it out on my bass (see video) but I see you have a more complete version ... must study this! 5 stars! :)

  • This was awesome. @.@

  • Incredible. Must be difficult to play such a small instrument so cleanly. Very nice, indeed.

    ~Megan

  • there are plenty of tabs of the melody out there for almost every instrument allready

  • Love it pleeease tab it...all the best v F m

  • Nice and smooth. Clear tone. Is that a Martin Koa?

  • Yes, it's a lovely old Martin 3K.

  • That's really cool!! Can I get the tabs from you?

  • Thanks. I worked it up by ear and have not written it down. I'd like to tab it out, but that takes time and isn't nearly as fun for me as playing or working up something new. I'll let you know when/if I get tablature.

  • you're definitely the number one fingerpicking style ukulele player on youtube. never seen anything like it. great stuff. heftone for president!
