Definitely not stock. Level of loudness (exhaust) doesn't say everything about the modification. It can very well be modified to around 490bhp without changing the exhaust note to much. FVD does this as well as Ruf.
Yes, That is stock 993tt performance. Maybe a 97 model with a DME (ECU) upgrade at best. If it were modified the car would be insanely loud. This car wasn't.
@The96993 I cannot argue with that. I'd never thought about how much louder RUF's I've seen elsewhere are. I just struggle to believe this is anywhere near standard! The clip was named 'rufoutaccel' when I found it (long before the days of youtube) and my now modified 996 turbo still doesn't look this quick, not even close!
I'm araid not. This is definitely quicker than a 996tt accellerates and the 996 is faster than the stock 993tt. Its a stock RUF though as far as I know.
I think its just the slight stutter on the clip. For some reason it doesn't run as smoothly as on my computer. The car is definitely faster than those times. Those are the figures for my car, this is quicker.
Naw, if it were Turbo R spec, it would have spun the tires at least in first and certainly through most of second. Plus the time it took this 993 to get from 120-140 is what a Turbo R takes to get from 130-170.
I'm not so sure. I can't comment on the 120-140 time but it seems very quick to me.
Using the lag just to get the tires rolling like he does you can easily prevent wheel spin in 1st and 2nd. The 993tt gets a lot of traction off the line and on a good day I have managed to get nearly the same torque down onto the road with only RWD in first. Killing the revs slightly by taking up the clutch too hard can actually be an advantage in a car that would normally spin the wheels as it comes on boost.
I drove a couple of high powered porsche turbos in the last few years and they are brutally fast, I have no problem admitting they scare the shit out me, the torque is staggering, and the noise from behind you gulping for air, ....brilliant though :)
I'm afraid this one's not mine and I know very little about it. However comparing it's acceleration times to the similarly powerful RS tuning car. It looks reasonable that this car is running the 580bhp RUF intended. The torque to pull it from 120 to 140+ like that though must be phenominal! I bet it didn't feel as sedate in the car.
It was roughly 13 seconds 0-140! That is insane, absolutely amazing! At that speed and time it's entering Bugatti Veyron territory!

Holy shit! And I thought my dad's 89' Swift GTi was fast. My dad's swift did 135 MPH in 32 seconds

Imagined a tuned one. Pretty good for stock, hell it still puts most modern sports cars to shame. Simply a classic.

@Devineeno1
Just checked it again. It's not exactly an accurate measurement but I make it approx 3.5secs to 60mph and 7.5 to 100mph.

I love the 993 interior sound! It's so civilized but outside it roars like it has to!

If it is a Turbo R, then it is either 490 or 520 hp. If it is a CTR2, and it doesn't sound like it, then yes, it would be either 520 or 580 hp.
