  • Love the bird, Smart!!!!

  • you should be proud of yourself. Taking that wreck of a place and making something nice out of it.

  • この家はごみ屋敷ですね。鼠と暮らすわが家ですか、、、家は清潔にすることが大切です。

  • youtubeクリエターパートナー世界gorotim16の過去のコメント、、、lol

  • You could get a Kubota mower or tractor, there made in Japan, and are also very popular here in the states as well. I use to sell them for a living, and they are a damn fine, but might cost you a good bit more then the average push mower.

  • That little bird has probably learned that noises like trimmers and mowers means big bug buffets!

  • Will you be building on that piece of land?...maybe an extension or something?

  • I would use a better trimmer

  • I think that the bird appreciates your hard work.

    (*´∀`)

  • I need a strong booming voice like yours

  • Cool

  • Why didn't you remove the bigger shrubs? Seems like an eyesore than anything?

  • The bird is probably thinking that lunch was being delivered that day.

I like the before and after shots. It's always nice to see a good difference.

  • 貧乏人は、いくら、勉強してもいい仕事にありつけません英会話を勉強しても結果は同じ,、、仙人になることをお勧めします。こいつ、また拾い食いしているのか。。。

  • LOL!!

Bet you were Way Happy! That you didn't end up finding any (Poison Ivy or Oak) in there.....

Even so though, that still musta been way Itchy, once the shredded plant fibers got on ya....

  • LOL. The bird says, "Thanks for the free lunch."

  • I love the gardening. What are you planning for it? Over here in the UK gardening is pretty big on the agenda. I can foresee little paddy paws running around the place, especially the dog kind.

  • God job. Can you come to my house now. My grass is getting kind of tall.

  • I wonder are you going to make it a western or eastern style garden where you let things grow but don't let them get overgrown? Anyway I hope it doesn't get overly western, that is probably why there are no lawnmowers in japan, they have eastern gardens.

  • the bird is urbanize ?

  • keep up these videos I love em!

  • It's coming together. I can't wait to see it when you are finished.

  • Oh my..this place is going to be really nice! particularly when spring/ summer comes..green and full of life with vegetables and stuff..I hope around is peaceful too. It's very interesting and definitely not boring.

  • Gardening, filming and feeding the birds all at one time! WOW, talented! LOL!

  • You mentioned always having your camera... wow. You do so much for us lot.

  • Wow. You, sir, need a rototiller.

  • heeeeeeyyyyyyyyyyyy gggggguuuuuuuuyyyyyyyyssssssss!!!!!!!!

  • Maybe you could order an electric mower. They are much lighter than their gas counterparts here in the US. Might be better on shipping?

  • Your arm must have been sore after all that weed whacking. I know mine does after taming my crazy back yard. Feels great to get it under control too- haha

  • that little area at 1:40 you should do gravel there that would look nice and maybe put edge rocks with a stone path through it just 4 looks it would still look neat.

  • 乙かれ様でした!!! ヘ(^_^ヘ)(ノ^_^)ノ Really beautiful, now and before your hard work!^___^

    Greets from Germany!

  • @Nikel93 お疲れ様でしたと言うのは正しいです。 乙の読みがなが「おつ」のに、「お疲れ」を使います。

  • @dominicdit ∑(O_O;)Shock!

    そうか!すみませんしりませんでした

hope I got everything right now I'm just a beginner ^__^'

  • I know its kinda random but your low husky voice sometimes tickles my ears! HAHAHA! Anywho good luck with the house! Looking good at the moment!

  • I am okay with any and all before an after on the house. Thumbs up. You are living my dream.

  • Mate, where is your Victa mower? Let us know if you need one. Not sure of the postal rates from Oz to Japan

  • That was just a pretty bird, do you know what species it is?

  • so did u buy the house or the patch of land?

  • I don't know why you were doing this but good on ya :) I think any find in a garden or forest or what have ya is an 'Indiana Jones' moment. It is very cool to see the past. It is all significant : mine, yours, anyones'. Excellent. Ta, man.

  • The OCD part of me is loving these before and after shots. It almost makes me want to find an abandoned house just so I can tidy up the yard with a grass trimmer!

  • Smart bird.

  • Looking forward to the next film!

  • That's a smart bird.

  • looks like fun

  • Excellent, excellent keep the before and after pictures coming. Let us know if you find more treasures (with an picture of what on earth it is). Thank you for letting us watch your adventure unfold.

  • It's begun! Nice job sticking at it for 9 hours.

Thanks for showing the cute little bird too :)

  • its starting to look more like a house. 10 points for you

  • Wow, good job old man.

  • I'm sure your neighbors really appreciate the clean up after all those years of neglect!

  • that is fantastic, i love home improvement shows and the before and afters are one of the funnest parts, congrats again on getting such an awesome house

  • So, have you met your neighbors? Are they still talking to you after 9 hours of work with a gas powered string trimmer? LOL! In manga, newcomers buy little presents for the neighbors when they move in. Is that done in real life? The garden does look much better, but good luck planting stuff since they didn't leave you the tractor! We'll all be waiting to see More Videos (coming soon no doubt!)

  • @jfan4reva Haha that was my first thought too. God I hate those things ;D

  • haha wtg bird!

good job on the new homestead! but a lawnmower? That could make nice farmland for your own vegetables and non-encroaching herbs and your wife could put in some flowers near the driveway - if she's into that. ... or at least, that's what I would do :P #suggestion

    Thanks for the video!

  • @haversman Nice suggestion _but_ from my experience a lawn is a very rare thing in Japan. At least I never saw one. So that would be pretty unique there, I think. And maybe it's a bit of feeling like home for the foreign owner.

  • @guardian040 Yeah he's totally free to do a lawn - or, perhaps, just control the growth. I hear Yamaha might be able to do something for him? ;) :P

  • i look forward to seeing the finished thing dude.

  • Nice job !

  • To cut grass i wear:

blade-stopping boots and pants, vibration proof protective gloves, BOSE® noise cancelling headphones, highest rated protection glasses, overall (or coverall), a massive gas mask

(i can't stand the smell of the exhaust) and, of course, a helmet.

Yep, i look like an astronaut, but i feel safe and that counts!

    BTW nice job!

  • thanks it was a good vid...thanks again

  • WHAT WAS IT? You can't leave us hanging, I must know.

  • @TheShadowofDormin Kinda looks like a mile marker to me...

  • This is so manly, It is better then porn, beer and working out!

  • Good thing that bird isn't like a lyre bird like Chook. (It's on YouTube.)

Congrats again on your new home!

  • I bet the neighbors are happy to see you moving in and making the property tidy.

Now quit reading comments and go power wash something! ^_^

  • The thing in all of the weeds... I was seriously expecting a container of toothbrushes. >.<

Wow you all have done amazing so far!

  • my next semester starts in two days. I am starting japanese classes because of this channel convincing me to try and study abroad in japan. I am excited :D

  • Nice work!

  • Good job buddy! Keep up the good work, maybe when you're done you can gives a tour of what your planning to sow!

  • Ohh i´ve been wating for this list :D

  • @Razerser Me too, get ready for a whole bunch of them too. that Farmhouse is a "fixer upper"

  • Wow, It's amazing!!^^

  • That bird is really cute and smart!

Your yard is coming along great! All your hard work shows!! Can't wait for more awesome updates!!

  • 動画より、コメントのほうが、面白くなった狙い的中

  • ^^ I look forward to seeing more, to how you give the place a make over. You did a great job on the garden. :D Can I ask what you plan on doing with the garden? Planting flowers, or veggies?

  • I liked the before and after video clip... it looks so much better now and that is such a handsome bird!

  • those before and after pictures wil be getting better over the years. You can look back and be proud of the 9 hours of gardening.

  • yay! its more satisfing when you see what you have done.

I agree a lawnmower would make that job much easier. But how does one find a lawnmower in japan?

  • awesome sense of accomplishment!! So excited for you guys :)

  • Getting ready for your rice paddy?

  • Goodluck and have fun re-doing your new place!! i'm sure you will have many good memorys / footage ;)

  • Glad you are enjoying yourself.Love the before/after shots.!!

  • I watched every nook and cranny of the exploring video. This taming was quite an overdose. Feel free to double or triple the dosage of the said overdose!

  • They dont sell lawnmowers in Japan?

  • The bird is all like " Thank you Human..."

  • Wow what a smart bird, was he/she yawning or was that my imagination? Looking good there, yes you should be proud of your accomplishment, you put in a lot of work on that yard. Oh heck with the lawn mower, the trend is to make yard functional, with gardens and local flora, fruit trees etc, grass is a waste of water and money! I hate the stuff...Grow a organic year round vege garden, it gives back grass does not (unless it the other stuff with the slang name grass, now that gives back but...) ;D

  • GOROTIM16 お前は阿呆だ。

  • @Simonabraham1987 lol I thought I was the only one reading his comments, the guy is a nutcase for taking the time to spam all that crap

  • @n00b240sx I thought I was also maybe the only one that noticed them since they are in Japanese. GOROTIM16 is a asshole and I'm guessing he does not even understand English he is just racist and spamming idiot messages. Sad to have this guy here.

  • Amazing video! I simply adore traditional Japanese houses! Were you paying a rent on your last little appartment? Or did you get a loan from the bank, and paid it off?

  • youtube<googleに統合されるから、いまは、あれてもok

  • Look... that man with the weed eater is not wearing white gloves!

  • Going to replant that garden plot?

  • I would rather do clean up, outdoors then inside. Don't have to sweat the recycling rules then.

  • good job :D it looks really good

  • Cute bird maybe it will stay around.

  • 除洗が必要です

  • This is exciting to watch the transformation. I'm looking forward to seeing how this will turn out. LETS RENOVATE ^_^

  • Probably less exciting than the house cleaning itself, but you godda start somewhere.

  • In my country the house would have been destroyed by vandals long before 7 years had passed. :(

  • looks real great now:D and that bird was beutiful:D

  • Deepest voice lol 1:28

  • Could you make new 'after' shots at about the same time of day the 'before' shots were made? It "syncs" the lighting, making the differences more obvious.

  • I'm looking forward to this series. The big changes in a home renovation are fun to watch.

  • Does this mean we have the 'Farm/Garden Supply Shop' video... coming soon?

  • I'm so going to enjoy watching your house get a rehaul :). Keep it up!

  • 本当は、食い物探しているのでは。。。。。。いのししみたいに、、、、

  • I would love to live in Japan! It seems so civilized and peaceful. I am 14 and my friends blame be for being to "boring!" I think that they mean that I am way too mature, some say I act like a 40 year old some times! I believe that if I could find some gated in community and a nice big house in Japan I would be complete!

  • is it me or is this the first vid in 3 days? if it isnt, i'm missing a lot of vids, not even seeing them on your channel.

  • 貧乏人は、草刈機とくわを、つかいます。

  • i LOVE befora and after shots! more more mooooore!

  • 私は、開墾するときは、パワーショベルを使いますが、人力は、たいへんです。

  • I love the farm house and seeing it come back alive.

  • 日本では、家の周りの、畑を荒らしていると、笑われるから。開墾して耕作地作っているのですか・・・春じゃがをうえると、よいでしょう

  • So you ended up getting the farm house . I liked that one , it had lots of potential . Good job .

  • Manly men! doing manly stuff! in a manly waaaay! MANLY MEN!

  • Indeed, are you going to turn it back into a vegetable garden?

  • So if that is the size of a usual house in your village could you sell that land and/or is it worthwhile to sell land in Japan, as I know it's at a premium?

  • I can see a beautiful zen garden full of life in place of all those dead bits =]

    thanks for sharing.

  • Let's post more video

  • This is when you appreciate being landed gentry and having servants.slaves to do the work.

  • you gonna make a vegetable garden?

  • are you planning on leaving the bushes/trees?

  • OH NO!!!!you're destroying the bird's little jungle

  • Bet that was the best nights sleep you've had in years!

  • The bird is so cute... I wonder what it is...

  • @m3andchip5 I think the bird is mozu (百舌鳥 / Bull-headed Shrike).

  • @BingTiddleTiddleBong Seems like it... thanks!

  • you should really make a small zen(ish) garden in that small patch of land in front

it costs very little, practically nothing, needs maintenance only rarely and makes for an all season landmark of beauty

who needs vegetables when you can look at rocks and sand and feel whole?

  • I'm sure it'll be a very beautiful yard/garden later on! And hey, that bird is sooo pretty xD!

  • I'd rather hit that bush with 75 megatons.

  • i love doing yard work. mowing, rockin the weed-eater, and raking the grass clippings. when the job is done you are rewarded with a nice yard and the sweet smell of freshly cut grass.

  • looks lovely!

  • So u live there?

  • This reminds me of a game called Harvest Moon.

  • hmm 2th

  • First! Good job!
