  • gymnastic...

  • keep seeing the word skill in some comments and that there is no doubt .but its too much banality and not enough originality for me. will we ever hear bands like bruford again

  • amazing, two of the world's top players. Love the way they try each others ideas out, they seem to enjoy learning stuff from each other, which is great to see.

  • jeff is so nerdy yet so skilled

  • @illfortune921 skilled in overkill....

  • Love Jeffs playing but wish he'd lose the chorus..Anyway, great to see the humour going on, a breath of fresh air.

  • WOW what a combo

  • if any of these greats did a big fat fart on their bass, theyd make a better melody then gene simmons!!!!

  • fanny pack

  • what makes berlin's sound are chorus pedal and GUITAR amp

  • @malesmandi a Markbass guitar amp?

  • @JohnFHebert i hear that the guitar amp is hidden by him at the backstage everytime he play because of his endorsement. its just only a rumor so CMIIW

  • sounds like jeff is running thru a chorus, that makes player easier.

  • @spider5604 yeah it makes playing what Jeff does easier . . What? Every try to play Jeff's stuff? It is fking hard as hell.

  • @GaryNull i mean for the player himself!! u ever played something and then play it thru a chorus pedal?

  • @spider5604 Yeah, if only he'd realised earlier. he wouldn't have had to waste all those years studying music....

  • wonder who'd win in a fist fight , close me thinks .

  • Any idea what Cottle's playing on? Looks a lot like a G. Gould.

Whatever it is, sounds a helluva lot better than Jeff's Dean...

  • @DiatonicTelepathy His GB bass (Spitfire I think)- Bernie Goodfellow, UK luthier.

  • @chardbass or is it a GB Rumour?

  • @chardbass: It is a Rumour in terms of its through neck but it has a Spitfire shape (but they are usually bolt-on) so it's a mix. See Laurence's and GB Guitars' websites.

  • Gotta love Jeff, shame about that f****n chorus pedal though!

  • Jeff is just sick.

  • I will wear a fanny pack if I could play like that

  • There was a jam called "St. Thomas" from this very session.

Can someone post it again? It was great.

  • why hasnt this video got more views? was there another one that got removed??

  • @Tattered - yeah, there was another video from this jam, that was actually one of my favorite videos.

  • How does Jeff think so fast?

Most players don't get near a tenth of Jeff's mastery of music.

Maybe that's why most don't sound as good as him.

  • A wall of 8ths in the bass and 16ths in the treble over bebop 7th chords. Welcome to blands ville. These guys are deft but very boring.

  • you obviously can't count

  • It's a bass show, what do you expect?! I suggest you go elsewhere to get your kicks from some dull modal meaningful droning and let the rest of the world enjoy the spectacle of two masters having a bit of fun (fun - know what that is?!).

  • awesome,so crazy,mosaik09 are you serieous

  • Wow... what a difference between these two!!

  • wow that sucks

  • jeff berlin's fanny pack consists of twinkies and spare chorus pedals

  • That made me laugh.

  • Ha ha!! That's some funny shit.

  • Come on . . that's the best you can say.

I like a good and all, . . but who the fuck can play bass solos like him : no one.

  • Thanks for sharing this. Laurence is such an amazing bass player. Jeff is good too.

  • Jeff is the best. Period.

    Laurence is good too.

  • WOW FREAKIN AMAZING !!!
