'Allo 'allo Pari(s). 'Ere is Copenhagen with the results of the Danish jury: Luxembourg: 1 point The United Kingdom: 2 points Greece: 3 points (I would have given the 3 points to Denmark if that were allowed) The Netherlands: 4 points France: 5 points Germany: 6 points Israel: 7 points Austria: 8 points Monaco: 10 points .... and ... (not very original I guess, but it was the best song of the evening) LUXEMBOURG: 12 points
here are the votes of Korean jury... 1 Spain 2 Germany 3 Luxembourg 4 Switzerland 5 Monaco 6 Italy 7 France 8 Belgium 10 Norway 12 Israel and that completes the voting of Korean jury, have a nice day!
Well I thought that was complete crap. It marked a watershed in ESC, from which point it went downhill. None of the songs, including the winner, would have merited higher than 10-11th place in any previous year, and that's including dodgy judging.
Here is my vote from Russia 1pt to Finland 2pts to UK 3pts to Denmark 4pts to Austria 5pts to Sweden 6pts to Israel 7pts to Ireland 8pts to Spain 10pts to Monaco 12pts to Germany!
from France : 1 pt to Italy 2 pts to Belgium 3 pts to the Netherlands 4 pts to Sweden 5 pts to Denmark 6 pts to the United Kingdom 7 pts to Luxembourg 8 pts to Switzerland 10 pts to Ireland and 12 pts to... Israel !
Well in my opinion it was not a good year but the Swiss entry with the beautiful woman Carole vinci singing 'vivre' should have won. Une chanson tres jolie de joie aussi. Mais personne est d'accord.
Not one of my favourite years but here are my votes anyway ...... Germany 1 pt Austria 2 pt Denmark 3 pt Ireland 4 pt Spain 5 pt Belgium 6 pt Switzerland 7 pt United Kingdom 8 pt Italy 10 pt Sweden 12 pt
I think 1977 and 1979 was so much better, i dont like many songs from 1978, i think the best was Germany and Israel! I wonder why such a boring Song like the one from Belgium ended at No.2!
My votes from Germany: 1 to Portugal (Spain) 2 to Spain (Norway) 3 to Norway (Netherlands) 4 to Netharlands (Belgium) 5 to Belgium (Ireland) 6 to Ireland (Monaco) 7 to Monaco (Luxembourg) 8 to Luxembourg (Germany) 10 to Israel 12 to UK The 70s are so much better than the 80s.
Wow, how my taste changed with me watching the actual contest (last December). If we were to vote again my votes would be something like this: 1-Monaco 2-Israel 3-Turkey 4-France 5-Germany 6-Denmark 7-Netherlands 8-Luxembourg 10-Ireland And the UK, 12 points A lot of good songs this year, actually; so I'm happy I won't have to choose 10 songs again (at least for the time being).
I know that the voting is over, but here are the Brazilian votes, anyway: 1p: Netherlands 2p: Sweden 3p: Monaco 4p: Finland 5p: Portugal 6p: Israel 7p: Switzerland 8p: UK 10p: Luxembourg 12p: Germany
Here the votes from Bavaria: (without Germany) althoght Feuer is one of the best german entrys ever... 1p Spain 2p Greece 3p Austria 4p Italy 5p Finland 6p Ireland 7p Israel 8p Luxemburg 10p Belgium 12p to our neighbours... SWITZERLAND!!!
almost we had in 1978 2 songs with the same title !peter, sue and marc had a song named "charlie chaplin"in the german preselection like the greek entry, too.but they come 3rd...thats a pity!!!
Charlie Chaplin had died the year before, so I find it natural that there were two songs that paid tribute to him. But, hey, it seems we beat the Germans to it :-R (seriously, though, I'd be interested to check out PSM's "Charlie Chaplin" - do you know if there's anywhere I can find it?)
That's it folks - voting's closed! And what a voting it was, first with seemingly unbeatable Israel losing the lead to Germany, and then with seemingly unbeatable Germany beaten by Luxembourg, partly (but certainly not wholly) thanks to strong support by Baccara fans, who thus give the Grand Duchy their 6th win in our polls! You can find the final results (with the UK making a late burst to 4th place, and Finland and Turkey truly undeservedly sharing last place) posted in the video description.
High marks from two of our latest voters help contest hosts France break into the top-5 for the first time (although, IMO, with not one of their best entries). Here's the last top-10 before our big finish: 1) Luxembourg 442 2) Germany 422 3) Israel 392 4) Switzerland 263 5) France 261 6) UK 256 7) Monaco 247 8) Belgium 238 9) Italy 170 10) Ireland 167 Tomorrow is the last day of voting, folks - get your points in while you still can!
This 12 points to Germany thing sounds like something in the 1980 vote where 20 people gave 12 points to Turkey in a row, and all accounts made like yesterday :\\
dear friend: i don't mind where you say you are from, i only find it shocking that you BOTH open your accounts 1 day ago, BOTH voted the same editions, and BOTH give in all your votations 12 points to germany, with only 1 exception, in 83 you BOTH give 12 to israel... too many coincidences.
anyway i didn't say you are the same person with 2 accounts, it's you who have understand so. What i complain about is that votations from so-recently-created accounts were invalidated some weeks ago.
the accounts of the two last votings has been created both yesterday, and curiously both give 12 points to germany... this is a bit suspicious, isn't it?
tasosk, i remember you invalidated some votings due to this reasons.
on the other hand i see that you have not counted the votings of the user baccaramaytemaria ; i see that s/he didn't give the 2 points, but it's clear who diid s/he give the 12, is his/her voting invalidated?
1 Netherlands 2 Turkey 3 Belgium 4 Ireland 5 Luxembourg 6 Spain 7 Denmark 8 Israel 10 Finland 12 Germany I have no idea why Finland did so badly this year and can't believe that it's probably going to finish last in this poll.
Yes, I too like the Finnish entry - not one of my biggest favorites from this year, but surely a good song and definitely not deserving last place! But, you know, I just add up the numbers...
Latest update: 1) Luxembourg 427 2) Germany 408 3) Israel 371 4) Switzerland 255 5) UK 248 6) Monaco 242 7) France 239 8) Belgium 213 9) Italy 165 10) Ireland 158 Only 5 days to vote before the closing date of February 27. Post your favorites today!

Dramatic change at the top! All these votes from Baccara fans have finally brought the desired effect, since Mayte and Maria take over the lead for the first time! With only 6 days left, can this kind of unprecedented fan loyalty really decide the year's winner? The current results: 1) Luxembourg 415 2) Germany 408 3) Israel 371 4) Switzerland 255 5) UK 245 6) France 239 7) Monaco 237 8) Belgium 205 9) Italy 159 10) Ireland 151 Still last: Finland, with 39 points
Wow, this must be the first case I've seen when a true runaway 'favourite' is thrown off the top, and indeed so close to the voting finish. Oh well, that would make one of my fave winners of this voting.
Once more, the current top-10: 1) Germany 403 2) Luxembourg 381 3) Israel 351 4) Switzerland 245 5) Monaco 236 6) UK 232 7) France 220 8) Belgium 194 9) Italy 152 10) Ireland 149 Only 8 days left to vote until the closing date of February 27. Post your favorites today!
Sorry, I made some mistakes here: at this stage, Luxembourg should stand at 393 points, Switzerland at 251, and the UK at 237 (and thus occupy 5th place instead of 6th). Hope that makes it ok.
Not the best of years. Anyway, here we go: Ireland 1 p Monaco 2 p UK 3 p Sweden 4 p Finland 5 p Norway 6 p Belgium 7 p Germany 8 p Luxembourg 10 p Israel 12 p
Thanks for yor vote (a user with a name like yours giving full marks to Baccara? I never would have guessed! - lol), but you've forgotten to post a 9th place (or 2 points, in ESC-voting mode).

Here are some more scorings: something I've always had to think about! Monaco - 1 Portugal - 2 Greece - 3 Ireland - 4 Netherlands - 5 France - 6 Sweden - 7 Germany - 8 Israel - 10 SWITZERLAND - 12 points.
After doing a few corrections and counting only 2 of the latest posted votes (see the '69 recap for explanations), here's an update on the full scoreboard - the top-10 (where the UK manages to jump from 6th to 4th place!)... 1) Germany 366 2) Luxembourg 310 3) Israel 290 4) UK 205 5) Switzerland 202 6) Monaco 199 7) France 185 8) Belgium 153 9) Italy 133 10) Ireland 114
here's my vote 1 point to Norway 2 points to Ireland 3 points to Israel 4 points to Monaco 5 points to Switzerland 6 points to UK 7 points to Italy 8 points to Luxembourg 10 points to Portugal 12 points to Germany
Once more, the current top-10: 1) Germany 347 2) Luxembourg 302 3) Israel 286 4) Switzerland 209 5) Monaco 201 6) UK 192 7) France 177 8) Belgium 153 9) Italy 126 10) Ireland 106 Wishing to give a push to your favorites? Full marks by noam83 help Jean Vallee climb back to 7th place: 1) Germany 304 (moving past 300 points) 2) Luxembourg 257 3) Israel 243 4) Monaco 172 5) UK 166 6) Switzerland 165 7) Belgium 138 8) France 135 9) Italy 119 10) Ireland 97 No change in last place: Finland, with 30 points
As SundownerDrifting would say, the votes of the Baccara Fan Club help the Spanish sisters claim the runner-up spot, while the UK's Coco move into the top-5. The current results: 1) Germany 304 2) Luxembourg 252 3) Israel 239 4) Monaco 172 5) UK 166 6) Switzerland 164 7) France 128 8) Belgium 126 9) Italy 111 10) Ireland 97
Seemingly yes, but what can you do? Fortunately, as you can see below (or above, depending on if you're looking at the main or the "all comments" page), it doesn't have that much of an effect on the scoreboard...
Still, in our 1981 voting Switzerland and Germany are battling it out well over the 200-point mark, while a certain Finnish reggae has yet to find a single supporter.
I must have replied to the wrong post, I was speaking of the general consensus among fans for this year, with the top-3 extraordinarily high on votes. And there still is quite a difference between (currently) 12 points and 30, right?

The current results show Belgium and Ireland creeping up to 7th and 9th place respectively: 1) Germany 231 2) Israel 176 3) Luxembourg 167 4) Switzerland 144 5) Monaco 130 6) UK 117 7) Belgium 105 8) France 103 9) Ireland 80 10) Italy 78 Lasr place: still Austria, with 26 points Wishing to give a push to your favorites? Then vote until February 27 and have your say on who will be the winner in this and all the other polls (available in my video log)!
Full marks from Australia help Ireen Sheer move past the 200-points mark: 1) Germany 201 2) Israel 162 3) Luxembourg 149 4) Switzerland 137 5) Monaco 113 6) UK 100 7) France 95 8) Belgium 93 9) Italy 73 10) Ireland 67 A change in last place: Austria, with 26 points

High marks by acorianno help Baccara return to the top-3: 1) Germany 189 2) Israel 151 3) Luxembourg 135 4) Switzerland 132 5) Monaco 100 6) UK 95 7) France 85 8) Belgium 81 9) Italy 73 10) Ireland 62
My votes are as follows: 12 - Israel 10 - Denmark 08 - Luxembourg 07 - Italy 06 - Portugal 05 - Finland 04 - Sweden 03 - United Kingdom 02 - Germany 01 - Spain
Ireen Sheer is now almost 50 points ahead from the competition, while hosts France inch up to 7th place. The latest top-10: 1) Germany 187 2) Israel 139 3) Switzerland 132 4) Luxembourg 127 5) Monaco 100 6) UK 92 7) France 85 8) Belgium 81 9) Italy 66 10) Ireland 62 A change in last place: Portugal, with 18 points (oh, come on, have some mercy - haven't they seen enough of the bottom already?)
The Swedish jury has paid attention and here are the results from STOCKHOLM: 1 point goes to FRANCE 2 points go to SWITZERLAND 3 points go to FINLAND 4 points go to GREECE 5 points go to ITALY 6 points go to MONACO 7 points go to ISRAEL 8 points go to TURKEY 10 points go to GERMANY .......and FINALLY my 12-pointer goes to A GREAT LOVESONG,this time from JEAN VALLEÉ(BELGIUM)I honestly thought this one would make it in 1978,I was VERY surprised it didn´t!!!
Yes, but they still managed to get their best placing to date - the Belgians had never seen the inside of the top-3 til then. And, personally, I must say that it took a while to grow on me, since I found it a bit boring, honestly. And the main reason for improving my opinion since hasn't been the song itself, but Jean's heartfelt and sentimental performance.
Not only has Israel lost what IMO would be a sure lead, but it's now in danger of losing 2nd place as well - since both Switzerland (another surprise in this voting) and Luxembourg are really close! Meanwhile, thanks to the 12 points by Zodiark1988, hosts France jump from 10th to 7th place. Here's how the full scoreboard looks like - the top-10... 1) Germany 160 2) Israel 118 3) Switzerland 116 4) Luxembourg 115 5) Monaco 93 6) UK 80 7) France 66 8) Ireland 62 =9) Belgium 61 =9) Italy 61
Norway's MIL ETTER MIL with Jahn Teigen definately the best performance! A classic!! (Even though he got 0 points. If it was televoting those days, he would have won for sure!)
Latest top-10: 1) Germany 146 (way out in front) 2) Israel 113 3) Switzerland 109 4) Luxembourg 95 5) UK 78 6) Monaco 73 7) Ireland 57 8) Italy 56 9) Belgium 53 10) France 47 The latest votings have caused a major change at the bottom of the scoreboard, since the Norwegian support to Jahn has pushed him to 13th place. As a result, last place now belongs to two other Scandinavian countries, Denmark and Finland, with 16 points each.
My top 10 here we go 1.France 2.Belgium 3.Luxemburg 4.Ireland 5.Italy 6.Denmark 7.Switzerland 8.Austria 10.Germany Offcourse, my 12 points go to Norway. Jahn Teigen doing a very good performing... 12.Norway
And I believe that an update on the rest of the scoreboard is long overdue! 11) Greece 35 =12) Sweden 33 =12) Turkey 33 14) Spain 29 15) Netherlands 27 16) Portugal 18 17) Finland 16 18) Austria 12 19) Norway 9 20) Denmark 6
(OK, seth, you're right, back to the voting!) Thanks to top marks by eurotrash12003, "Feuer" starts building a considerable lead over "A-Ba-Ni-Bi". Here's how it all looks like: 1) Germany 126 2) Israel 112 3) Switzerland 102 4) Luxembourg 92 5) UK 70 6) Monaco 68 7) Ireland 53 =8) Belgium 51 =8) Italy 51 10) France 43
Good Evening this is Belfast calling and here are the results of the Northern Irish vote.. 1.. Ireland 2.. Portugal 3.. Finland 4.. Spain 5. Sweden 6.. Netherlands 7.. Luxembourg 8.. Greece 10.. Switzerland 12..Germany
It is typically, but I love the fact that these votes become the starting point for such interesting and entertaining discussions/ disputes/downright fights. It's kind of like talking about classic Eurovision over drinks at a bar or something :-)
Yes, I know; perhaps I've got my first glimpse of such a possible conversation (provided the drinking partners are interesting, like you guys). However, I just thought I might bring those who haven't seen the video before to the knowledge that this isn't just a discussion thread.
(sings) Wo ist 'ne Party Wo ist 'ne Party? (takes off knickers, swings them overhead several times & lets go.....(lands on Seths head!) wir geben 'ne Party (oh yeah) wir geben 'ne Party (oh yeah) 'ne Party heut Nacht!
But now Mr. T. you did encourage us to this scenario with the talk of bar chats about classic ESCs. Is there not a better forum where we can all continue this jousting?
You mean this is all my fault? Oh my God, what have I done?! I've created a monster! (lol) Really, though, I wish I knew the answer to this one, since this really sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, I'm not presently aware of sth...
Hey why do we have to leave YT? This is what it is all about - Get off your liberal hat, Seth, get a shandy & COME ON DOWN!!!! YT Eurovision is about serious stuff & light hearted banter (bloody hell its the Eurovision!!! not the EU -that other pantomine! dont get me started on that one.
Surprise, surprise! Thanks to the Luxembourgian vote, Germany's disco anthem overtakes the Israeli one and becomes the new leader of our scoreboard! Can Ireen hold on to the top? The current top-10: 1) Germany 114 2) Israel 112 3) Switzerland 92 4) Luxembourg 85 5) UK 70 6) Monaco 68 7) Ireland 52 8) Italy 51 9) Belgium 51 10) France 43
Thanks to two consecutive 10's, Germany is inching dangerously close to Israel, while Switzerland has taken Luxembourg's place in the top-3. Here's how it all looks like: 1) Israel 109 2) Germany 102 3) Switzerland 85 4) Luxembourg 80 5) UK 66 6) Monaco 60 7) Italy 51 8) Belgium 49 9) Ireland 46 =10) France 33 =10) Turkey 33 And Denmark's return after an 11-year absence doesn't seem to move voters, since they're still without a single point...

This 12 points to Germany thing sounds like something in the 1980 vote where 20 people gave 12 points to Turkey in a row, and all accounts made like yesterday :\\
LukeJanik 3 years ago
first i have copy what "SCHOKOAPFEL" under me write;THEN I cut his country and write my favorites down.
second this peRSON comes from austria and i from germany!different countrys:)
euroidolfan 3 years ago
dear friend: i don't mind where you say you are from, i only find it shocking that you BOTH open your accounts 1 day ago, BOTH voted the same editions, and BOTH give in all your votations 12 points to germany, with only 1 exception, in 83 you BOTH give 12 to israel... too many coincidences.
anyway i didn't say you are the same person with 2 accounts, it's you who have understand so. What i complain about is that votations from so-recently-created accounts were invalidated some weeks ago.
melekalikimac 3 years ago
the accounts of the two last votings has been created both yesterday, and curiously both give 12 points to germany... this is a bit suspicious, isn't it?
tasosk, i remember you invalidated some votings due to this reasons.
on the other hand i see that you have not counted the votings of the user baccaramaytemaria ; i see that s/he didn't give the 2 points, but it's clear who diid s/he give the 12, is his/her voting invalidated?

Yes, I too like the Finnish entry - not one of my biggest favorites from this year, but surely a good song and definitely not deserving last place! But, you know, I just add up the numbers...

Wow, this must be the first case I've seen when a true runaway 'favourite' is thrown off the top, and indeed so close to the voting finish. Oh well, that would make one of my fave winners of this voting.

Sorry, I made some mistakes here: at this stage, Luxembourg should stand at 393 points, Switzerland at 251, and the UK at 237 (and thus occupy 5th place instead of 6th). Hope that makes it ok.

Time for me to (again) rue a song's lack of success - shed a tear for poor Nazar and their sweet "Sevince". ;(

Yes, I too hoped they'd get their proper due (or at least do better than on the actual contest) in this poll - alas, this was not meant to be :-(

Seemingly yes, but what can you do? Fortunately, as you can see below (or above, depending on if you're looking at the main or the "all comments" page), it doesn't have that much of an effect on the scoreboard...
tasosk3 4 years ago
Still, in our 1981 voting Switzerland and Germany are battling it out well over the 200-point mark, while a certain Finnish reggae has yet to find a single supporter.
setheurovision94 4 years ago
Correction: it has FINALLY found a supporter - 2 or 3 of them, actually! :-D

I must have replied to the wrong post, I was speaking of the general consensus among fans for this year, with the top-3 extraordinarily high on votes. And there still is quite a difference between (currently) 12 points and 30, right?

Yes, but they still managed to get their best placing to date - the Belgians had never seen the inside of the top-3 til then. And, personally, I must say that it took a while to grow on me, since I found it a bit boring, honestly. And the main reason for improving my opinion since hasn't been the song itself, but Jean's heartfelt and sentimental performance.

setheurovision94 4 years ago
It is typically, but I love the fact that these votes become the starting point for such interesting and entertaining discussions/ disputes/downright fights. It's kind of like talking about classic Eurovision over drinks at a bar or something :-)
tasosk3 4 years ago
Yes, I know; perhaps I've got my first glimpse of such a possible conversation (provided the drinking partners are interesting, like you guys). However, I just thought I might bring those who haven't seen the video before to the knowledge that this isn't just a discussion thread.
