If you buy the lost in time boxset, at the end of episode 4 of the moonbase, it shows the clip when the macra's claw reaches up to the scanner of the TARDIS.
I wish they still had the Macra Terror. I've read the book and heard the audio release and it's a great story. They could always animate it like they did with some of those Invasion episodes, but it still wouldn't be quite the same.
I'd love to see the whole of The Macra Terror, it looks so awesome! It's just a darn shame that all the episodes are missing. I personally think these Macra look and act better than the Tenth Doctor versions. And it looks like they have a real story in The Macra Terror, whereas in Gridlock, they are just there.
Hell yeah! One of the first truly horrifying Doctor Who stories. Love these classic William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton stories. They are the longest ones. I dontremember any of the other Doctors in 25 part serials with each epi having its own name!
Not really. The macra are quite cool, the giant lobster thing aside. This is actually one of Troughton's better stories, which is a fairly high bar to ascend since he's the best doctor. The only thing I didn't really like about Gridlock was all the cats. That looked alot more silly than the giant lobsters. And remember the original was done 40 years ago on a shitty budget, even for the time. If you can't deal with that, then don't watch. It doesn't detract from the quality of the story.

40 years later, the Macra returned in the Tenth Doctor episode "Gridlock" in full CGI! I saw
"Gridlock" on Sci-Fi Channel...on the night "A.I.
Artificial Intelligence", Steven Speilberg's movie but
Stanley Kubrick's final project (Kubrick died 2 years
before "A.I. Artificial Intelligence" was released) aired on TNT!
