How do you know when your out of ammo if the slide doesnt lock back?

Easy, at the range I count. I imagine in a real life situation I would just keep pulling the trigger until it doesn't work anymore. lol. Even with slides that lock back, often i can't tell it has and keep shooting until I heard it go click.

yes thats true a .45 has HIGHER chances of a 1 hit stop but you should never rely on 1 shot stops.

I've shot deer with a .308 and they still keep going sometimes and a .308 is a whole lot meaner then a .45

Shoot em as many times as it takes to take em out of the situation.

Also a .380 in your pocket is better than nothing.

I noticed that when you first pick it up, your finger is on the trigger, and also after firing while cycling the action for inspection. Keep the boogerhook off the bangswitch, as they say.

No worries. I just bought an LCP a couple days ago, haven't had the chance to shoot it yet. How do you like it?

I love it. I am confident to carry it with one in the pipe. Not a target pistol, but a point and shoot and I seem to be able to hit the paper every time. Since the paper is chest size, I think I am good to go.
