The better team won, hands down. I give Carolina credit for their Tenacity this playoff year, but the Pens clearly have what it takes, and a four-game sweep proves it. Here's hoping the Penguins can maintain their current pace, for good five-man Defense leads to less shots for Fluery to face and ultimately the Stanley Cup for Pittsburgh.

How depressing....canes are a much better team then theyve displayed this entire series. Whether by skill or shear luck the pens were able to capitalize on all the mistakes the canes made. Pens didnt beat the canes. Canes beat themselves unforunately.

Thats what i thought? First off, you probably dont even play hockey, nor are you a pro, so dont pretend like you were the one won the game LOL. Sports are about dumb luck, skill, and circumstance. Pro's can capitalize on all three of those. Thats what makes them pro. Theres no denying Pens won and the did a marvelous job of doing so. But your comment is one of biased and ignorance. I did play hockey in highschool and college, so try again asshole, and 2nd, I knew I couldn't play in the NHL, but I can see matchups and the canes where overmatched. Much like the Pens were overmatched in the finals last year. Scudderi and Gill contained Staal for 1 goal. You say the canes are much better than they displayed. I don't think so. The Capitals presented more of a problem for the Penguins than the canes ever did

The Hurricanes came into game 3 with a lot of energy at the start and really took it to the Penguins early. But too many turnovers for Carolina, and Malkin and company took it to them after the first Malkin goal, which was off a bad play by Tim Gleason. Also the two goals in 30 seconds at the end of the first didn't help either! GO PENGUINS!!!

Part of me really feels bad for Cam Ward. he is such a great Goaltender and really deserves better defensive play in front of him. I'm bias towards Goalies though, since I was one. A goalie can single-handedly win a game for a team however, it's also the last line of defense which makes it the most visible position to blame after a defensive breakdown in front.

Bout to say Peepeetingle, I have never minded the Hurricanes. I have been a Pens fan my entire life but I have loved people like Francis and Barrasso.

Carolina is a good team but when Whitney and Staal aren't scoring and the defense has seem asleep the past 2 games, it's hard to ask so much of Ward. Who is not an overrated netminder.

tim gleason doesnt know what hes doing this series...check him out at 1:00 mark, then for malkins 2nd goal hes out of position again...then gets caught sleeping on guerins goal...granted it was 5-2 at that point but timmy, c'mon, play hard to the end. gleason will be a healthy scratch for game 4. maybe then they'll hold malkin and crosby to only one goal a piece.
