I often wonder what the people in France would think if they heard a K-5LA on one of the TGV's? First time I heard one I thought it sounded like a symphony orchestra with the harmony the way it was.
No you're right. Acela Express in America sucks. It may be fast but people pay more to go only minutes faster than Amtrak. I'm just saying IMO i like the horns at America better.

Trainspotting is a much a hobby as collecting nose droppings... only retarded faggots do it.
And when one of you homos finally succeed in getting sliced in half, over 300 people are delayed for hours while the tracks are cleaned up... YOU SUCK... at least we can take comfort in the thought that there is one less retard on earth though :)
Remembers me exactly 25 years ago, when i saw my first TGV (his Introduction in France was in 1983!! ) in Lucerne Main Station ( Switzerland )during an Exhibit. When the TGV was about to leave, the Engineer activated the Horns. Can you imagine? It was scaring loud in the Station hall.
hum ... frequencies i don't know ! there no button for
used the horn, it's an hand lever in middle position.
In action they puch or tired up this one, for the Two tons horn, you can used just one position ( that action one horn... but you can't used two horn at the same times) for precision, there a little time difference between the action and the horn sound.
Ah, Ok. On the ICEs and modern electric german railways, you can choose the upper or lower freuquency by pulling or pushing a button. And you can combine them when you use a foot pedal, if you want. In my opinion, that's the most impressive sound, because the frequencies are disharmonic somehow...
Ha ha... Finally.. it took 2 days for me to view this.. but it was worth the wait.. Did the driver do the horn because of you filming, or are they supposed to signal when passing that spot??
Yes, I think so too!! ;) Anyway, you chose your places of filming with great care, which makes your videos extra interesting.. I appreciate the thought and effort behind even a short film like this.. Very good!!

dashloc 3 years ago
What's the reason for bandaging the nose of the last locomotive? I've seen that on many TGV.
axlespinner 3 years ago
The reason Alexspinner, that's the TGV workshop had to replaced this by a new part, very common when the train had ...hit a body !
This part of the train are in glass-fiber, always wrecked after a big smash !

american horns and trains are like steel, but europen trains are economic and powerful.
Have u ever seen a fast american train (more than 70 mph) ??? no not realy
perhaps the aceler express, but this is a copy from the ICE

No offence, but is there a reason why European horns sounds so much worse than American ones?

Have you ever heard an American horn?
murjax 3 years ago
Yeap of course Murjax, i have a small weak for the Leslie S3T :)
dashloc 3 years ago
I'm just wondering. Is there a reason for the siren sounding horn you have in Europe?
murjax 3 years ago
Hmm..no valve on horn here, it's on/off system ! perhaps that's explain this ?!
dashloc 3 years ago
Hmm, I guess so. The horn is designed to be a warning system, so I guess they found this one to be the best.

2GUNBOY 5 years ago
your welcome
dashloc 5 years ago
What kind of horn is that?
2GUNBOY 5 years ago
typical French 's two horns every trains here have
the same horn.
For whatch automatic coupler on action write:
"attelage TGV" from Dotaku in "you tube".
dashloc 5 years ago
Automatic coupler, i never knew that, Thanks.
2GUNBOY 5 years ago
It's semi-permanently coupled from nose-to-nose with a drawbar.
2GUNBOY 5 years ago
Not whit a drawbar, the TGV used automatic coupler
for consist.
