  • Every time i hear this horn while aboard a TGV, i always think i'm going to have a cardiac arrest...

  • Nice horn !! top driver !!

  • Umm...why so slow? just kidding :P

  • @BadBoy1986PL Lol :D +1

  • american shit...

  • Imangine if all the TGV's had musical horns like the 'Dukes of Hazzrd' or 'La Cuccoracha' huh

  • Looks like somebody taped up the nose of the rear power loco...

  • @banjokitten Classic repair, the big ring like the fender " étrave" or the nose trap are

the first stuff wrecked and replaced during collision with something !

  • I often wonder what the people in France would think if they heard a K-5LA on one of the TGV's? First time I heard one I thought it sounded like a symphony orchestra with the harmony the way it was.

  • love the train ,but the horn was a little off

  • That is the weirdest horn I have ever heard!!!!

  • @tgv427 Classic SNCF two tons ! :P

  • NICE

  • Fantastic horn

  • Excellent video!

  • @five0fan Thank you :)

  • In my opinion, the horn sounds terrible.

  • THAT WAS LOVELY.... :)

  • The horn is sweet just sweet :D

  • I love this klakson ;) Great video, You have 5 Stars ***** Viva La France, Viva La TGV, Viva La Alstom ;)

  • Thank you Lokfurher233 :)

  • I just bought this horn, for on my truck :o)

  • i like the sound when half of the train passes... mmmm

  • Oh ! The great characteristic French train horn !

  • OMG what a horn!!!Very nice

  • Thanks Edystvumdb :)

  • Yeah, that was great :D

    5*.

  • Thank you Zbikucmk :)

  • Needs a K-5LA. Watch "Acela loads of horn full speed." THAT's a horn!!

  • Yup ! i know ...

  • ah avesome sound grate.

  • great tone

  • Trés belle! =D

    10* et favorit! ;-)

  • Merci TrainzDr3ver :)

  • mas o menos como los alivias de aqui de españa

    saludos buena maquinaria ;)

  • Gracias, saludos Takito1992 :)

  • bello

  • the tgv antique is than the tgv Duplex good horn anyway!!!

  • Classic SNCF 2 stroke Horn's ;)

  • This sound like street stand of ramen in Japan.

  • ?! :P

  • lol get out of the way video camera guy

  • yahy ! not exactly there a sign on my side

    " S " for "sifflet" (wave) all train horns during open time ( 8/00am to 8:00pm) B0m83d.

  • You mean that trains can horn ONLY between 8AM and 8PM??? That's really interesting....

Here,in Romania, the trains are blasting the horns even if it's midnight....:D

  • Yes but only on a "S" sign, of course if a danger come to happen the enginer horn ! :P

  • What's the reason for bandaging the nose of the last locomotive? I've seen that on many TGV.

  • The reason Alexspinner, that's the TGV workshop had to replaced this by a new part, very common when the train had ...hit a body !

This part of the train are in glass-fiber, always wrecked after a big smash !

  • it sounds like a horn in the UK, but its not bad

  • speed in France is much better...

  • horns in america are much better

  • american horns and trains are like steel, but europen trains are economic and powerful.

Have u ever seen a fast american train (more than 70 mph) ??? no not realy

perhaps the aceler express, but this is a copy from the ICE

  • (reply to chickengeorg123)

No you're right. Acela Express in America sucks. It may be fast but people pay more to go only minutes faster than Amtrak. I'm just saying IMO i like the horns at America better.

  • Talk about a taste question Murjax ! sadly we just have one kind of horn here...

  • Have you ever heard an American horn?

  • Yeap of course Murjax, i have a small weak for the Leslie S3T :)

  • I'm just wondering. Is there a reason for the siren sounding horn you have in Europe?

  • Hmm..no valve on horn here, it's on/off system ! perhaps that's explain this ?!

  • Hmm, I guess so. The horn is designed to be a warning system, so I guess they found this one to be the best.

  • Hey ZZ009966, get a brain, i'm sure you've got the answer !

  • Why the fuck do you ask that overflowing question? The trains have horns to warn people. ;)

  • Wat's the matter? I just ask why you ask that overflowing question?

And I just wanna say, Train spotting is a hobby. Do not say please again that anyone deserve to die with this kind of hobby!

And get out of here if you don't like trains ;)

    Dashloc

For this amazing video you get 5 stars from me ;) I like that horn very much and you recorded very nice! :)

    Good luck with trainspotting!

  • blbečku ty si buzna

  • Thank you Jessecruzu, your fine ;)

  • dude

those horns are a warning because the train is nearby, and the horn can be heard from more then a kilometer away

  • COOL! Nice Horn! VERY Nice Horn! ^__^ Thanks for sharing!

  • Your Welcome Modeltrainguy :)

  • I like the horn! :)

  • j'adore l'avertisseur c possible de mettre sa sur une c2

  • Possible avec quelque transfo...

  • what line is that on? french classic or somewhere in europe?.

  • Lyon/Geneve lines near Virieu le Grand, France.

  • yikes lol could u hear after that lol

  • No problems Delticmatt Thank you :)

  • Wow, the TGV has a pretty wussy sounding horn! :) I like the Acela's horn better. LOL!

  • I agree, the Acela's horn have the best music !

  • aaaaaaaaah ah ahaha !!! excellent !!!

  • Thanks Thomao2, note the enginer was a bit busy on the horn!

  • Maybe the engineer knew his train would be on you tube and wanted to be remembered?

  • HAHAHA, yes why not :P

  • Remembers me exactly 25 years ago, when i saw my first TGV (his Introduction in France was in 1983!! ) in Lucerne Main Station ( Switzerland )during an Exhibit. When the TGV was about to leave, the Engineer activated the Horns. Can you imagine? It was scaring loud in the Station hall.

  • Can you usw both frequencies how you like to, or do they appear in a given order, if you push the button? And can you combine them?

  • hum ... frequencies i don't know ! there no button for

used the horn, it's an hand lever in middle position.

In action they puch or tired up this one, for the Two tons horn, you can used just one position ( that action one horn... but you can't used two horn at the same times) for precision, there a little time difference between the action and the horn sound.

  • Ah, Ok. On the ICEs and modern electric german railways, you can choose the upper or lower freuquency by pulling or pushing a button. And you can combine them when you use a foot pedal, if you want. In my opinion, that's the most impressive sound, because the frequencies are disharmonic somehow...

  • Sweet, my french friend told me about the TGV horn, and now I got to hear it!

  • I watched the "attelage TGV" video from "Dotaku". Now i completely get how coupling two TGVs works. Thanks!

  • your welcome

  • What kind of horn is that?

  • typical French 's two horns every trains here have

    the same horn.

For whatch automatic coupler on action write:

"attelage TGV" from Dotaku in "you tube".

  • Automatic coupler, i never knew that, Thanks.

  • It's semi-permanently coupled from nose-to-nose with a drawbar.

  • Not whit a drawbar, the TGV used automatic coupler

    for consist.

  • The horn sounded Nice.

Was it 2 two trains hooked together?

  • It's just simply for transport more peoples whit one train.

  • Oh.

    COOL!

  • Your videos are all stunning. So much thoughts behind where you film, when you film, etc.

  • Thank you Nsrihari, your fine :)

  • Here's a excuse: Just having the horn ;)

  • jolie coup de klaxon :)

  • Yes ! le gars il c'est laché !!

  • Ha ha... Finally.. it took 2 days for me to view this.. but it was worth the wait.. Did the driver do the horn because of you filming, or are they supposed to signal when passing that spot??

  • Yeah ! good question ! they had a signal " S " the same thing of "W" in US,the driver must obligatory horn on this point.

But i think the enginer saw me filming ! and want make a show :)

  • Yes, I think so too!! ;) Anyway, you chose your places of filming with great care, which makes your videos extra interesting.. I appreciate the thought and effort behind even a short film like this.. Very good!!

  • Thank you for the comment Kurtgnu, i know what's peoples loves about trains, because i love this same stuff too, so make a footage about trains SOMETIMES

    could be easy !! :)

  • I think the engineers have fun with their horns. Any excuse to sound them is good.

  • Wow! This is different and louder than I thought! By the way, what is the point of having a horn on a TGV?

  • ah ! simply the TGV is a normal train on normal track !!

so he needs to have a horn !
