  • Juste toujours aussi émue d'écouter et de voir Mark Hollis, un timbre de voix et un son que l'on n'entend qu'une seule fois dans sa vie... De plus, quelle beauté !!! j'adore!!!!!

  • Sparklechopz... maybe you're just too young to realise it.

  • This is top caliber music! I miss the British invasion! Dang it, every time I hear music from back then the longing for it is so much I can't stand it. Drives me crazy that there's not many artists or albums one can look forward to in today's trashy music market. What music used to be, for some reason, it's isn't any more.

  • @shootingboards I'm afraid your just getting old :(

  • not an awesome clip, but an awesome song.

  • Why aren't artists making music like this? Stuff that feels real and you can just identify with? I'm so disappointed on our generation. Only so few really accomplish to obtain quality on what they do these days. But I'm so happy and honored to be able to listen to Talk Talk because their legacy will live forever. :)

  • Mark Hollis come back to save today's Music Industry !!

  • 1:40 what a lovely smile :)

  • @capnbley You would've had a big trip then over the pond coz theyre ENGLISH

  • just the best

  • ..... .....great lyrics ...wonderful voice ...excellent music . these guys were so talented ...but most important is they never sold out . making good music was more important to them than commercial success . i think this is what truly defines a band from others . Talk Talk had music in their heart , mind and soul . Mark Hollis is one of a kind .... you guys are irreplaceable.

  • Talk Talk is an example of a talented band who refused to sacrifice their artistic integrity in order to have commercial success. Some things are just more important.

  • GREAT ...............KISSS

  • I like this. Very good lyrics & instrumental.

  • UK in its heyday - both in music, and life in general. Not the crap it is now!

  • Great band. Great songs. Such cool insistent fretless basslines and weirdarse key changes.

  • One of the most underated bands ever, I think KEANE were inspired by them or so i heard, if they ever tour again I'll go and see them.

  • Is it me, or does Mark Hollis looks sometimes a lot like Eric Idle from Monty Python?!

  • Mark Hollis UNIQUE sheer brilliance great band. Such a shame we have to put up with the rubbish we have to listen to nowdays

  • Can't compare no-one artist of our time with this voice :)

New voices are often modified with computer... :-/

I was born in the wrong decade....

  • majestic

  • Mark Hollis is so talented, he can randomly place his hands anywhere on the piano keys and it will sound awesome.

  • Right now, I AM living in that other world and I want to record on here what happens.

    Would anybody be interested?

  • fab

  • MTV in it's heyday not the crap it is now!

  • una de las mejores canciones que escuche en mi vida!!!!

  • once I thought there wasnt really any reason for anyone to create a pop album after this one. They pretty much summed it all up..

  • timeless

  • In my Top 10 Desert Island discs!

  • es uno de las mejores canciones de todos los tiempos

  • Classic. This is one of my favourite songs of all time.

  • Back when MTV was a music channel and not a reality show, jersey shore peddling piece of garbage it is now.

  • John Hurt. Great song. Brava!

  • I used to own the 12" single. If you think this is good, you should listen to the extended version.

  • sono dei pazzi ma che bravi :-)

  • That´s awesome!!! Talk Talk has a singular way to make music...

  • süper

  • REAL MUSIC

  • I wat to see talk talk. not that stupid gaga who isn't original at al.

  • WOW, this is maybe the best video i have ever seen..BUT ,what really pisses me off are these incessant ads for fukkin Lady gaga singles...can't STAND HER!!!!

  • this is 2011...EPIC

  • je n'aurai jamais plaisir à déconner comme vous autour d'un zinc car je vis dans un autre monde...bien trop chiant pour vous.

  • lilianashton. You said it, now you have to seek hard, then this was on the radio or mtv. Today is all about the sales, its sad, but thanks to youtube for having this.

  • I think this version is the remix by Julian Mendelsohn off the History Revisited album.

    great band great songs.

80s and early 90s very special times.

  • in another time

  • class class class loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeit

  • Beautiful voice , magic sound !!! Talk Talk.

  • Love you !

  • Pure class.

  • Talk Talk videos are so fun.

I'm sick of people commenting on old music vids about how "music is rubbish now!!!!!!111!" There's a difference between music as a whole and the very small section of that music that is the mainstream. I'd say what was mainstream was better in the past, but if you can't find good music being made right now, well then you're just not looking hard enough! There's a whole world of talent out there and I think there always will be.

  • @lillianashton I totally agree with you, theres so much good music being made today, you just have to get off your ass and look for it cos you won't find it in the charts.

  • @lillianashton

You said it, now you have to seek hard, then this was on the radio and mtv, sorry if you cant see. Now is all about the market; even with independent music

  • when this song was released, my mum was 22 ^^ .

  • Unbelievable video and one of the great songs ever written, though the full LP version is superior by far

  • People should really stop posting their age, nobody cares...

It's like saying "Wow, even though I'm young and therefore should be stupid and listening to shitty mainstream music, I am better than my peers by listening to [Band Name Here]"

  • @JustOneMeatPuppet I care. I'm always astounded when a kid born 10 years after this song was released winds up becoming a Talk Talk fan. There's something really compelling and special about that, in my opinion.

  • @skrason Huh, well, if you put it that way...

Still, I was born 5 years after this song was released, but you don't see me talking about it. There will always be fans of Talk Talk, decades, maybe even centuries from now.

  • SAUVER LA PLANETE COUTE QUE COUTE STOP AU MASSACRE

  • Britpop or Pop theses days doesn't come close to this!

    Enjoy the falshbacks folks!

  • God or the gods (if you´re greek) must be SO proud

  • nice

  • all the talk talk album are fantastic from the party's over to laughingh stock but colour of spring is the best . for me as album one of the best of every time

  • such greatness, the 80s were grand , hearing this stings the hart a bit too with all the memorys popping up

  • This tune fucking rocks

  • You were right Captain ! I like talk talk.

  • GRANDI TALK TALK!!!! Anche loro hanno contribuito a rendere fantastica la musica di quegli anni con i loro pezzi....

  • Fuck Vevo

  • bulgroz99; you couldn't be more wrong. We need common ground not differences.

BTW the song and the band? Without peer.

  • GREAT

  • Did I see tenderness where you saw Hell?

Did I see angels in the hand I held?

Think about this before you condemn other cultures or people. We are different and have different opinions and it is a blessing as long as we can all get along and accept each others differences.

  • @Bulgroz99 Thank god there is still someone decent in this god dam world : ) people now a days just dont respect each others cultures, im Portuguese, and it´s amazing the comments you see about the bullfights.

i Know that we all dont agree, but at-least we can learn to respect, keep on spreading the good word XD

  • @Bulgroz99 And don't believe anything the media tells you. About other countries. Especially when they have oil. The biggest terrorists are those pointing their finger. And "we" KNOW now. Those towers could never have come down the way they did without some kind of explosives being involved. I see tenderness 9-11CC. org

  • I love you!!!

  • Have I lost the plot here..are these videos the worst ever and the singing really great...I love Mark..and his voice but the videos are just rubbish...look at "It's my life" other groups at that time did much better..But what a voice...except they did have competition from Ian McNabb we had a good choice then

  • helped me

  • Talk Talk are a great band! Love this track and the others from this period. However, as far as tunes go, their penultimate album as Talk talk, Spirit of Eden, is the one.

  • The 80's...The best years.I am studing a way to return... ;-)

  • @ZENTYS

yes , the 80´s was magnificent...

  • @ZENTYS Take me with ya.

  • @ZENTYS If U find it bruv, LET ME KNOW! I`d love to be teenage again with TALK TALK etc. and my life to live again. WOW, thats a dream worth dreamin`...!!!

  • @duran9418 absolutly

  • mamma mia!

  • leg end

  • Mamma mia!.. Grandi!..

  • Poland loves YOU !!!

  • I put the Colour of Spring in the CD player for the first time in maybe two years. I just can't stop listening to it. Just can't believe that the Album 24 years old is. Brilliance at it's best. At this moment i am truly, living in another world! Just can't get enough of it.

  • This song and the whole Colour Of Spring album will never sound dated.

    It transcends time.

  • @chameleonday and the chameleons songs n albums too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! never old never more true

  • undoubtedly the best live band Iv seen musically, the percussionist on the 86 tour was bouncing 12 in. off the ground ,saw them in Aberdeen & Newcastle.

  • TALK TALK is one of my fav bands. it is incredible.

  • very good!

  • Toen er nog muziek was

Fortunately I see that i'm not the only one who wishes that these guys would perform again.

What an epic and hypnotizing sound

    Mark Hollis 4 ever !!

  • brilliant band...top musicians!!..then they blew it by trying to preach religious shit...

  • @sortofsorted how do you mean?

  • GOOD SONG¡¡

  • no me canso de ver y escuchar esta canción, muy buena, gracias por compartirla..

  • Just Ace, nothing better

  • mark at best in his prime. if the band comes back i dont think they will be like they use to be people. Lets face it, mark did his job. This is entirely different era today, where music is just unatural with modified gimmick sounds voice overs. However, If talk talk ever comes back, i think they should use the same old tools like 80s did.

  • Ahhhh! Mentally orgasmic, holy to fuck, fantastic stuff!!

Talk Talk always were, and always will be...singular, profound, positive, realist, amazing...a real inspiration on my earlier life :-)

  • It's plainly ridiculous that this song is TWENTY - FOUR years old. It's a timeless masterpiece, Hollis is a genius...the video puts a big smile on my face. Briliant, brilliant, brilliant......brilliant.

  • Arghh!

The harmonica solo gets cut off before the end! And Robbie McIntosh's solo is gone!

Great song, shame about the edit :-(

  • @BrotherDevious The harp is played by the bloke from 9 below zero. Mark Feltman. Top band, much missed.

  • Aye its no bad!

  • does marc hollis have bipolar disorder or depression?

  • Thank you for this video and great song of best british invasion 80'group

  • He has a great voice.

  • I grew up in the 90's and while I heard a few talk talk songs when I was young I really didn't know much about them until approximately a week ago. They're excellent, i would be dissapointed that I've been missing out on them for 20 years but to be honest I'm just thrilled I've found them.

  • and the video is made fantastically well for that period, when everyone was just trying something new-they were great and now,yet seem to be even greater to watch and to listen to!

  • Don't forget Tim Friese-greene who was the musical partner of Mark Hollis, co-wrote most of the songs and produced the recordings. Hats off to Mister Friese-greene !

  • Talk Talk are so underrated, they made some ground breaking music in the 1980's, the fact they will never record together again is criminal.

Come on Mark, swallow your pride and get back in the studio with Paul and Lee, there is so much more you are capable of achieving together.

  • @MrJesusHJones Apparently he says he`s `left the music business` because of his family. Which is fair enough. Although you are right, `Such A Shame` that we won`t hear no more from him/them. On the other hand, all things in Life have a beginning and an end. That`s unavoidable. At least Talk Talk `happened`, if U get me. And we won`t be dissapointed if they recorded again and it was crap or whatever!

  • Another awesome song by Talk Talk...

  • Una delle piu' belle performances di questa meravigliosa band!

  • Talk about re-awakening old memories! This band really kicked arse back in the day and this song is a masterpiece :D

  • Great song from a great album, but the album version is definately better.

  • love this difficult tweaky man x

  • Love this song....Talk Talk was one of the best bands in the eighties....MORE FANTASTIC ´80´s music on my channel!!!!

  • thank god for the eighties , if you were born in the late sixties you grew up listening to the music your parents liked then when you hit the teenage years along came bands like talk talk , the jam , tears for fears, there are so many bands today influenced by the eighties what a great decade

  • @anto1191

Yes man youre totaly right. Still I get great memories from these great bands.

Don't forget Level 42, Flock of seagulls, simple minds , Waterboys, ah well to manny to mention.

  • Flock of Seagulls?????? Come on!

  • @anto1191 long live the '80s!!! music hasn't been great since. the manufactured crap today shows no talent.

  • @anto1191 totally agree the best real meaning !!!!!!!!!!!!!! makes me sad makes me happy

  • @anto1191 .... well I was born in '72 and was weened on Mamas and Papas, Beach Boys, etc.. the 80's were great, as were the 90's ...... bit sh*t since though.......

  • @anto1191 How right you are. The eighties were the Renaissance for music in the twentieth century!

  • @silmalila Thanks for the positive comment , if only we lived in as positive a time as the eighties and the late 20th century, music was music back then and we lived unafraid and uncensored. There is good music now if you sift through the mountain of rubbish which covers it.

  • @anto1191 Don't get me started! My channel is all about politics now...

I miss the good old days, my dear, when the world was not so OBVIOUSLY being subverted by islam. I miss the past so much; I don't listen to anything but the music from the era when life was good!

The eighties were so lovely and fun; the world will never be that way again, I fear.

  • Totaly awesome

  • I did my school presentation about Talk Talk and I'm only 15, good music will always win :D

  • @Spud1794 I appreciate what you're saying, but just for the record: good music in the wrong hands can be evil. that's all i'm gonna say.

  • @SMdiabla I see what you did thar.

  • @Spud1794 I wish my friends knew what talk talk is, and i'm 16. good job on showing what is a good quality song.

  • @luiggighetti46 Wow I actually got thumbs up. :S I'm 16 now too. But I think every one else has forgotten who Talk Talk is. :P

  • I just recently got introduced to Talk Talk and I must say they truly are an underestimated and inventive group! I am so glad that I am getting the opportunity to delve deeper into their music!

  • GREAT SONG, GREAT VOICE, GREAT BAND

  • Though his Wiki doesn't mention it I'm sure T F-G was the son of an arch bishop. (Though he isn't shown here - as usual)

  • THiS was the 3rd, and ONLY vidieo I have seen by Talk Talk in the 80's i remember dancing to this vid as I watched in my moms room. Mom came in and also danced as well. Mom had a stroke now and I visit her.

  • Bloody hell that way extraordinary. There is not enough true genious in the world of entertainment but that really hits the spot don't it? Amazing

  • @ladystardust2008: If you loved that, then you'll be in bliss by the full album version. It continues where the single (here) fades prematurely.

  • Ive been listening to these guys for twenty years, still sound great.

  • what talent and there even better live they deserve a lot more credit than what they got i would love to see them again
