i think the speed is perfect. I used to think this speed was too fast, but then thats what chopin indicated. I think its just the sound of the modern piano that makes feel a little pushed. Heard on a Pleyel, it would be magic. Still, beautiful playing all the same.

Indeed, this is much closer to chopins tempo marking. Most pianist play it too slow!
They sacrifice tempo for expresion, which is ok I suppose. This version is still very expressive and tempo wise is the way the composer intended.
