No, he just happens to be one of those few Finnish politicians who can actually speak English so that others understand it. Not very common among them old politicians.
No. He grew in a bi-lingual family (Finnish and Swedish), but he's just been studying working in the States for a couple of years. It's just good language skills ;)
Stubb is propably the most popular politician in Finland but he does have a huge opposition. He's EXTREMELY pro-USA and anti-Russia, which could be an ok stance for Mexico but quite troubling for a country that is dependant on its neighbour, Russia.
He also supports a federalistic EU where countries have become states and Turkey and the entire Middle East sits as member states. But that's off-topic.
Alexander stubbin hymy on niin pelottava. i have nightmares about his huge sharklike grin...

He is not American. He said that he studied in the US. But he was born in and has lived most of his life in Finland.

She really, REALLY doesn't like it, when "Alex" calls her by her first name as opposed to Mrs Clinton or Secretary of State Clinton.
Let's consider: meeting Putin or Sarkozy, would he go, "I'm very happy to be here with Vlad/Nic..." or whatever?
Language issues aside (as per HS), "Alex" doesn't seem to hear or be aware of various nuances all that well.

@zaz25full, Stubb uses his Finnish ways. He likes to emphasize his good relationship with Clinton, so that is why he calls her Hillary :)
LadySpitz 1 year ago
@zaz25full Well, didn't she just call him Alex? Why couldn't he call her Hillary?
