  • Alexander stubbin hymy on niin pelottava. i have nightmares about his huge sharklike grin...

  • Go Alex, Go! :D Proud of ya!

  • When Hillary says, "Can you believe that?" she means, "Can you believe there are Finns that speak such fine English?"

  • @gwaur The level of English is great in Finland, dont be talking crap

  • he is from finland, he has studie in the us

  • oh yeah, his wife is English as well.

  • I've been in the same movie theater with a guy that's met the us secretary of state. cool

  • No, he was born in Helsinki,1.1.1968

  • Stubb is defenitely not american, he is totally finnish.

  • He is so much better than the former minister of foreign affairs (I. Kanerva).

  • No, he is Finnish. He studied a while in the U.S., though.

  • He is not American. He said that he studied in the US. But he was born in and has lived most of his life in Finland.

  • She really, REALLY doesn't like it, when "Alex" calls her by her first name as opposed to Mrs Clinton or Secretary of State Clinton.

Let's consider: meeting Putin or Sarkozy, would he go, "I'm very happy to be here with Vlad/Nic..." or whatever?

Language issues aside (as per HS), "Alex" doesn't seem to hear or be aware of various nuances all that well.

  • @zaz25full, Stubb uses his Finnish ways. He likes to emphasize his good relationship with Clinton, so that is why he calls her Hillary :)

  • @zaz25full Well, didn't she just call him Alex? Why couldn't he call her Hillary?

  • isn't he american? and then moved to finland

  • No. Where did u get that idea?

  • No, he just happens to be one of those few Finnish politicians who can actually speak English so that others understand it. Not very common among them old politicians.

  • No. He grew in a bi-lingual family (Finnish and Swedish), but he's just been studying working in the States for a couple of years. It's just good language skills ;)

  • Stubb is propably the most popular politician in Finland but he does have a huge opposition. He's EXTREMELY pro-USA and anti-Russia, which could be an ok stance for Mexico but quite troubling for a country that is dependant on its neighbour, Russia.

He also supports a federalistic EU where countries have become states and Turkey and the entire Middle East sits as member states. But that's off-topic.

  • lol he's cute.

  • The Finnish Foreign Minister is actually pretty funny, I wonder if they finnish-ed?

  • Funny or not, hes much better than his predecessor ^^
