  • Great vid. I'm only 12 and when Steve died, i was sooo sad. I cried a little. Because I've always wanted to become a wildlife warrior and steve was my inspiration and even though he passed. I still want to live just like he did. :)

  • did you see the wild bindie encloser lol

  • lol gotta love Bindi :)

  • Lol it's my sugar daddy lol. It is a fascinating place to visit :)

  • I remember being taken to the circus as a child and not liking it and I preferred the wildlife sanctuaries and the wildlife parks to the zoos. However they do important work too and we need to know about the world and the other animals we share it with. However I empathise with animals in cages and feel sorry for them. It was over thirty years ago and I still remember seeing Guy the Gorilla sitting in a tiny cage with a rubber tyre - he was probably just being moved but the image was powerful.

  • Again I agree. I do not enjoy seeing animals in cages at all and have visited some dreadful zoos in Europe which are shameful. I have very strong feelings on any form of animal cruelty but at the same time understand the important work some zoos do in protecting animals from extinction and encouraging a vital interest in our natural environment. It is very much a double edged sword. It really is :)

  • Interesting to see - but I have a dislike of "circus" like displays and zoos are not my favourite places after I remember seeing Guy the Gorilla in a small cage in London Zoo looking forlorn towards the end of his life.

  • I agree. I have very mixed feelings about zoos. I have seen some rotten zoos that are not fit for purpose. Also I have seen a few zoos where they care deeply about the animals. I think Australia Zoo is one but I have very mied feelings about using live animals is shows. Is it educational or purely using the animal for our entertainment? Does it make kids more aware of the environment and motivate them to do something or is it akin to a circus? I think it is an important debate and discussion.

  • Geeezzz.... William.... ya certainly getting around this big country of ours!
