just wish to sound were a little better. This used to be the theme of the "All Night Jazz" radio show thru 1960's. Jus heard it again on radio in car tonight.. Love this piece. But yeah, fathead one of the nicest sounds around. Can any of you clean it up & make fuller.
Bob - FYI: the band members are introduced at around the 3:40 mark of the song. They are: Steve Nelson, Vibes; Eddie Gladden on drums; David Williams on bass; Walter Bishop, Jr on keyboards.
@bobjazz11 Yep, I saw your band mbrs go up as soon as I hit "replay", to listen to the tune for the 2nd, of about 5, times last night!
That was a great band Fathead assembled for his funky little concert! Walter Bishop Jr recorded with "everyone" in jazz, and Steve Nelson was a very big part of the New York jazz scene, and has even put out a buncha CDs of his own!
A big surprise - just click on this number, & find Fathead's fine, funky signature tune comin' at me!

One of the greatest and most consistant players. Beautiful sounds and note choice.
