There sgould be a WHOLE set of clips of ice skating Sesame Street characters! I remember Oscar blowing a whistle, & Prarie Dawn saying, "It's so loud!"

@stevenscottoddballz I think there are. Prarie and Bert do a skit ice skating, then one with a few of them of them (Grover, Prarie, Bert, Count, Cookie, etc.) I had never thought Ernie was in any of them but he was in the opening to Xmas Eve.

As we have seen, much of what else Ernie does to fall asleep usually annoys Bert: Such as dancing himself to sleep, and counting fire trucks that make loud noises.

By the way, Bert was once seen with eyelids. He had them when he was asleep on the chair and Ernie tried to wake him up.

This music always used to make me feel sad for some reason; I still liked it though.

There was another film that used a different arrangement of that same piece. It reminded me more of "Breezin'" by George Benson. Anyone have a broader memory of that?

Okay, I found the video I was describing. It's a carpenter making a wooden airplane. Again, same tune, but with a slow funk "Breezin'" type of groove.

2.) Does anyone remember the episode where Oscar was walking (WITH his trash can, LOL!) and settling down, then blowing a VERY loud whistle? Then many puppets gathered around, (I THINK one of them was Prarie Dawn, "Ooh! It's so loud!") Then they find Oscar & start beating on the can!

It was pretty nice when Ernie suggested the idea of having Bert imagine himself ice-skating as of not being able to go to sleep. After Bert imagined himself ice-skating, he went right to sleep which was good.

This clip is wonderful. There's a purity to it. The music is nice, and the little touches like Bert's muffling into his pillow and kicking his feet under the covers add so much to these scenes.
