i have to say i did like ff7. but to me its just another rpg. i play so many different kinds of rpgs that i cant say i have a favorite. oh and btw, ruby weapon isnt really that hard. beat him at level 60 without knights of the round.but believe me mighty guard is your best friend.

Yeah whilst this is a good song there are probably 3 songs off the top of my head which fit better...

1: Jenova's theme song

2:Jenova absolute (the last Jenove battle)

3: Birth of a God

I think they could have also added a different song choice for one of the ones from 9...

Also shame they couldn't have 4 battle theme songs from each game...

I'll admit that FF7 is awesome but to me, its a little overrated...A LITTLE (i dont want to sound harsh)..im not gonna say anything else bad about it cause i played it (along w/ crisis core and watched advent children) but so many people spoiled it for me, it was so annoying. i felt that i couldnt finish the game....but i did just to kick ruby weapon and emerald weapon's butt :P

@theicedemontrihorn I don't think you've beaten Ruby, You have to love FF7 so much that you spend enough time to level all your characters to 99, learn about lucky seven's and materia combos to even come CLOSE to beating ruby. Even then you'd probably get raped. I've been playing and replaying (on and off) FF7 for 7 (Cliché i know) years and even I haven't beaten Ruby.

This song is best when I'm facing a difficult CPU - then I can hear it all. Otherwise, I'm normally done before "Opening" finishes. Can't argue about it being an iconic choice, though - that isn't even up for debate.

Dissidia did an amazing job on its soundtrack. They picked the best tracks of each game and remixed them to their fullest potential(of course, some don't need remixes, like FFX or IX's boss theme, and of course the extras). This game definitely kicks Super Smash Bros. Brawl off its throne for best soundtrack.

I believe there's an equal amount of disappointing tracks in Brawl. Namely, everything 75m related, the overuse of the main theme, to name a few. Although the Donkey Kong tracks are absolutely amazing.

That's not what I'm saying at all. In fact, I like VII better than VI personally, but I think it's highly overrated. I just think the Final Fantasy series is overrated as a whole. I just like other game better, like Zelda for example. Just my opinion.
