I don't get it. ARMA apparently goes for realism but then completely fails when there's a crosshair, you fire accurately from the hip and there's almost no recoil at all. It will be epic once the Project Reality mod for ARMA II comes out.

@Pier2pie First, you don't even see where the gun is aiming, second, there's much more recoil firing from the hip as it's an incorrect firing stance. So yeah, they do spread very differently from the hip.

@Stealthgato crosshair is for easy difficulties, IRL you fire accurately from the hip.....bullets dont go flying round in any direction, they go in the direction of the barrel and there is recoil, in real life the gun doesnt fly up into the air out of sight for a split second it recoils back into your arm due to the power of the explosion propelling the bullet.

well, you can change to take out that crosshair, is just for some help, and yes, you can fire accurately from hip because if you are in sigh or not, that wont affect the presition of a weapon

@Stealthgato It's not a SCAR-H it's the smaller caliber SCAR-L so it's caliber is only a standard 5.56...not a 7.62...so it's recoil wouldn't be bad at all

a clip and a mag 2 different things, their not different just on different views, they are really different, for someone looking for realism you should know that, its fairly basic but commonly mistaken, you try searching it on youtube "Difference Between a Magazine and a Clip" watch the one uploaded by "Bryce70" , he had it spot on and he explained it with clear understandable details

And my frame rate in this game is only around 10-20 fps

GPU load only around 30-50% each.....

@hanzohadow: If you are after the Middle East setting I'd suggest you get Arrowhead. If it's the Eastern European one it might be economically wiser to get both in the Combined Operations pack (You pay only ~$10 for A2 that way).

@alphafour: The release is overall much more polished and I didn't encounter a single game breaking bug in the campaign, even with the release version. The biggest FPS killer in the original ARMA 2 were the trees, compared to the original's Chernarus there is much less vegetation so better performance.

@zhiheng2005: There is an M4A1 variant with iron sights. If you have the original ARMA 2 the games will merge (Combined Operations) and you'll be allowed to use the content of both of the games. Either way if you want more you can download RobertHammer's M4 pack which is Arrowhead compatible.

The zoom is supposed to simulate when your eyes consentrate on a spec in the distance. Anything thats not as it should be or anything missing will be modded into the game. Take a look at Armaholic and you can see the zillions of addons that was made for ARMA II those addons should work with Arrowhead.

The zoom is there to compensate for that.
