  • Okay yeah you're good. Man, I can see you giving advice to the pro bodybuilders. I bet you dislike the drugs and stuff, but I know that you'd know a lot about them if you focused on it.

  • good vid

  • You said you will get the same results if you eat more carbs and less protein.. I always thought that you'll get fatter if you eat more carbs and less protein. Snd more protein and less carbs will get you more muscles :P

    Thanks!

  • but i have a sedimentary lifestyle work etc i lift 4 times a week, i weight 174 lbs at the moment at 10% BF and i eat around 260g protein 75g fat and 310g carbs at 2900 cal on off days and 3000 on workout days and i am putting on fat even tho i raise my calories very steadily maybe 50 calories per 2 weeks. now i think its because of the carbs i eat i dont burn the energy i intake any advice ?

  • Thank you... people say it's 1 gram per kg of bodyweight.... which is less than half of would it be per lb of bodyweight... NOT ENOUGH

  • this is 61 secs :)... subbed

  • i wonder if this applies to people who use steroids .... ????

  • @TeamLevrone It doesn't.

  • so does a 40% bodyfat 240lbs person need to consume the same amount of protein versus a leaner 8% bodyfat 240 pound person with much more muscle mass????? surely bodyfat percentages and lean muscle mass must be taken into consideration when consuming the right amount of protein for a specific individual. please explain. thanks.

  • @strukt87

1g of protein per pound of lean body mass.

  • @strukt87 1g/pound is more than enough even for lean individuals. I don't recommend protein intake based on leanness because most people have no idea how lean they really are.

  • How much do you make with a YouTube partnership?

  • @piffski215 I'm not sure as I'm not a partner yet! lol

  • GREAT vid dude!!

  • @Vibealive77 Thank you sir!

  • good vid Ian ! i hear people saying JR on juice ? is that true ??

  • @TheKevstreet Ask him. lol

  • quick question, i know this may not be exactly your field of expertise but if anyone knows about this stuffid think itd be u. i have a weigh in in 4 days for a wrestling tourney and i need to lose as much water weight as possible, what can i do over the next few days to do this(besides saunaing, etc.)?

  • @loves2spooj6969 also if at all possible id like to stay away from diuretics

  • @loves2spooj6969 Cut your carb intake as much as possible and then slam them hard once you weigh in.

  • @LiftingForLife oh btw you should check out scottabelcoaching on youtube if u havent already. u and him seem to think very alike.

  • @loves2spooj6969 thanks man that should help a ton lol, i really procrastinated on losing the weight in the first place haha

  • @loves2spooj6969 you replied to yourself not him.. just sayin

  • I too prefer the longer videos, you're great at explaining things in detail...where did you post on JR being on the juice? why do you think he's using? I think Nick Wright started using too, but just my opinion, but when you compete I think that is just the next step. I can't put them down for taking enhancers, it's a part of the sport, as long as they're honest about it.

  • @RwillFinishStrong where is that and his explanation??

  • @RwillFinishStrong Sudden strength and size gains + dramatic hair loss is enough for me. Again we'll see when he competes next year.

Suffice to say I would rather talk about my content than Barthel's steroid use. lol

  • i love your longer vids more, but this is great!

i consume .75 g per bw and i dont think i can handle more. i noticed the more protien i eat the more gas i get.

anyways man just saw your post on JR hitting the juice, and no im not talking smack but for some reason when i posted that on his channel (not as an insult) ppl went friggin bonkers on me. its good to see someone else who can actually SPOT those on the gear

  • @UpalKashey Barthel has a well established fanbase of people that don't think for themselves. We'll wait and see what organization he competes in next year.

  • @LiftingForLife lol i think that doesnt even matter anymore, even that natural org. still allow for 'cheating' on the off season. its not random screening, like for olympics. i mean im not 100% against it, but i think if youre going to give advice tell ppl, hey im on juice and this is how i train. there is no way in hell you can get that large after two months just by eating, and working out. or doing FASHA or whatever the fuck it is. lol

  • @UpalKashey It would be bad for business for him to admit that he's on drugs, just like it would be bad for business for him to admit his products don't work.

  • @LiftingForLife true, when are you reviewing his supplement. also is it possible for you to get into the whole topic of some foods that are more thermo-dynamic than others. never quite got that, i understand in terms of carbs

    but not protien

  • @UpalKashey Sure, no problem!

  • @LiftingForLife where can i find your post of jr hitting the juice?

  • @cardmastad It's somewhere on the NBB page. I'm not sure you'll be able to find it.

  • @LiftingForLife nope cant find it. fml

  • what about when cutting ? do you need to raise it over the 1gram per pound then ? thanks

  • @SuperProtectedmode no. why should you?

  • @SuperProtectedmode He mentioned in his cutting video that you still keep the protein at 1g/pound of bodyweight.

  • @krypt5 This!

  • @SuperProtectedmode Nope, in fact 1g/pound is more than enough in most cases.

  • Nice and straight to the point

  • @camlam84 Thank you!
