Larmullin, there is actually both shadow and fire damage, so the ideal is to have 2 paladins with fire and shadow aura or shadow protection from a priest.

hmmm maybe this only works in 10mans but i play a MM hunter and the moment i see DBM tell me special ability is going to active i cast my Silencing shot, if the target i cast it on conjures a shield the cast is interrupted but the shield remains,eliminating the problem of the heal

Yea i agree with armandlluka. If you tried silencing once to see if it would work, and it DID work, then it's luikely that you'd assume that it's an intended mechanic. I highly doubt anyone would get banned for it... it's just one aspect of a single boss fight, and doesn't even come close to guaranteeing victory

all group up at door exept 1 tank that has Fireres gear on

when u r black and the white one does shield use ur cooldowns. white ones just switch target .

when the black one does it other way around.

Tanking them together doesn't do anything.

Except that on hard mode the shield and twins themselves having more health increase the dps requirements by a very large amount.

By tanking them together melee don't have to move and can make use of mult-target damage (cleave, whirlwind, heartstrike, and blade flurry - which is actually mentioned by the author in the video).

our biggest prob is downing the opposite shield colour

isnt' the damage done to one is linked to both? so what is the point of nuking the one that casts 'twin pact' instead of going on nuking them both in equal groups since the damage is taken by both, it should be no problem if u are attacking shielded or not and the only thing that matters is to deal highest damage.. Does the linked damage include the shielded period or not? can u explain please

twin's pact is a shield that forms and it starts a cast, when you burn through the shield it's interrupted. If the cast gets off it heals for 50%. So unless you can burn 50% in 9 seconds, then you need to swap.

And if you CAN burn 50% in 9 seconds, it won't matter since you can kill it in the cooldown period between ablities.

Twin Pact is cast which is protected by shield from not being interupted. U have to interupt it or they will both gain 50% hp. Only way to interupt it is to break shield.

well if ur cleave is gonna hit 1 target for 4k or 2 targets for 4k (most cleave damage isn't shared, it's doubled) .. then ur hitting both for 8k rather than 4k

To your question, the shield absorbs a set amount of damage done to the valkyr who uses the shield. The damage coming towards the other one will not be absorbed by the shield and will lower their health pool instead.

Since the heal cannot be interrupted with the shield active, you must aim all damage towards it to get through in time to throw an interrupt.

tanking is not easy but most of ulduar is i have tanked a majority of ulduar and had no problems with my skill however with poor gear people can struggle, the easiest part of ulduar has to be the early bosses dps, its just raid awareness.

And yes razor is piss easy as LONG as the tanks know what to do

This is a fight with a constant +50% damage effect, and at times, +150%, so hes going to be hitting reaaaaly big.

Depends, Druids do a fair damage output as tanks since they use dps gear while their trinkets and rings tacked with there bear form make up their defense. But for any other class a hunter that is in 10 toc gear compared to a tank in 25 toc should be doing more, that is if they know how to play their class.

The reason why you see such numbers from the tank is because of the stack of debuffs that he gets from the floating orbs around the area.

Fourth boss 1/5 (Cake) Should only fail if your color blind and the other 9 people in the raid share your illness.

Fifth boss 3/5 (Average) In the hands of the tank for adds and keeping them on perma-frost and dps to nuke in phase2 when and not let anyones debuff to stack to high. And healers to keep the raid alive in phase 3.

Try doing 25man faction champions without a warlock to CC the dr00d or a shaman who doesn't know how to purge hots or Hex.

If someones being carried, you'll know who.

We just keep a MS effect up on the 1 of the healers and a shaman/priest spam dispelling/purging. and newk liek madz. if you have 2-3 tanks keeping the melee under control this fight is very easy.

First boss 4/5 (Moderately hard) Fun, but can suck with people who don't; gtfo of fire, cleanse the poison, or gtfo of icehowls path.

Second boss 3/5 (Average) Only goes down hill if; Tanks sucks at getting adds, debuffs don't get healed threw, raid doesn't run when legion flamed/stands in them [Stand in the fire. It's a buff. LOL] or if boss doesn't get spell stolen.

Third boss 3/5-5/5 (Varies from average to HARD) Group make up, cc's, group that knows how to PVP/CC.

No it is not actually.  Part of the fight is that the portals give you a 50% damage buff against the twin of the opposite color as you. You deal less damage to the twin of the same color as you as a side effect.
