nofxlino: What about the Sunni militias (the so-called "Awakening Councils") the US is supposed to pay $10/day (I say "supposed to pay", because they haven't actually been paying their wages)? Those guys are the ones at the pointy end of the spear, actually attacking "Al Qaeda".

How about the US military pay the Iraqis 100 times as much, to get them on parity? How about more, since they are at the brunt of the fight, and they are having to do it without the same protective equipment as the US?

Great questions, my point that I was trying to come across, is that(my opinion) the u.s defense department or the goverment itself really dosent give a shit about its soldiers. If you take that into account, i doubt(although promised) that any sunni militia would get any money for their actions.

They don't care, at all, that's the whole point of being "cannon fodder". It's just that they don't like to make the troops aware that they are just "cannon fodder", but sometimes you get to see the Truth

They should make paying the Sunnis a high priority. The US are already fighting the Shiites. They don't want to fight the Sunnis...again
