  • Oh sorry ! No luck for you !

  • O.O poor poor console, i hope you didnt pay too much for it. Im actually looking for a decent priced Neo Geo AES.

  • Wow that seriously messed up why someone treat one like that

  • This kind of Junk NeoGeo systems you kind find here at HardOffs for around 500-1000 Yen, hope you didnt pay more.

  • Best of luck getting it all up and running matey - the kidney-bean aes stick is definately my favourite :)

  • All you need is love -_-

  • lol pretty beat up.

  • Score!

  • lukemorse is the console whisper!

  • I love finding a dirty console, that means I get to restore them :o) Christ, what a state!! If I was abused that much, I wouldn't work any more either :o(

If anybody can fix that, you can :o)

  • why do people do that to consoles?, i don't get it

  • Wow it looks like someone shit on it!! Ugh! I'd of past on that one! Either way can't wait to see what you do with it.

  • What was all the yellow stuff on it? Cyber jizz?

  • Awesome find man this is one of my favorite consoles ever, nice pick up luke very nice.

  • @FumiyaSugawara Thanks a lot bro! really great to hear from you. Ive played the crap out of sunset riders and still cant get enough, such an addictive game, thank you sooo much dude!

  • @lukemorse1 I know i got it for the SNES and i was just playing it the other day lol so addicting i tell you

  • Of course you'll work your magic and will be able to show it off working and in a good condition! What's up with that gold paint? Really weird - looks like some very young kid got a hold of some gold paint at the wrong place at the wrong time once, resulting in this messed up AES.... makes me wanna cry.

  • Ugghhhh Dude! haha look forward to seeing that thing fixed up again

  • This just makes my heart bleed. That poor thing.

  • Luke worked sex on this machine! =]

  • WHOAH! I've never seen a Neo in that poor of shape -- I'm honestly surprised as Neo owners are usually "collectors." I can't wait to see what you can do w/ this one -- you deserve a medal if you shine this one up.

  • Whats wrong with ppl who treat their stuff that way??

I mean don't they ever care about their things, geez. This makes me really anoyed. I am sure after some luke magic it looks a hell of a lot better:D

  • Definitely needs a lot of work. If anyone can do it, you can Luke.

  • luke what action website do you use?

  • 1:39 HELLO. That mess is pretty much on par with what was on the first Atari 400 I bought off of eBay.

  • For the best result you might want to take the whole thing apart sand it down fill in the cracks, primer it and paint it.

  • good luck :)

  • Holy bad condition of a console batman..grats on getting it though. X.x

  • dude, you should treat yourself to a tripod for these un boxing vids

good luck with the tune up

  • Who in their right mind would paint a Neo-Geo with what looks like gold nail polish?

  • why did you even bother to buy such a PIECE

  • you can do it luke, i belive in ya!

  • How much did you pay for this system? I'm looking forward to the next video!

  • WOW thats not a graet looking system but i bet you can fix it!!!

  • dont worry NeoGeo Mr. Luke will take care of you. He fix you right up.

  • Yet you have the best of attitudes as always before you take on a a challenging project. Much admiration, bro!

  • how come the price went up?

  • I don't think that can even be considered collectible. LOL wow, nothing really works. Its not even in good appearance for display sake. If you feel like throwing away money next time, I'll send you my address!!! LOL J/K. maybe you know how to fix these things, who knows.

  • A prime candidate for a custom paint job. :)

  • I just cried at the condition of this machine, please LUKE! do it some justice. ='(

  • I'm have a problem with my PAL machine, lots of graphical junk on screen, not sure if the pins are out (not touched it for years).

Bu that the hell did that owner do to it? did he paint the top of it gold to customize it?

  • I'm have a problem with my PAL machine, lots of graphical junk on screen, not sure if the pins are out (not touched it for years).

  • that poor big guy ohhhhh man :(

  • wow would i like to meet the person who painted that masterpeice!

    (sarcasm)

  • cor blimey, i'd never dream of treating a Neo Geo like that *shakes head on account of being a AES owner meself* looking forward to seeing the restoring through Luke!

  • Really nice system dude.

  • Ouch who would treat an AES like that, they weren't cheap new and they're not cheap now. I can't think of a better person to give it the TLC it needs. :)

  • Don't sand it. Use a product called Lift-Off. It doesn't damage the plastic nearly as bad as good off and it won't take off the Neo Geo logo.

  • The controller is easy to fix. The problem is usually one of 2 things. One, the cord socket is no longer good or two, the chip inside is bad. You can either replace the chip or bypass it since the Neo has no encoding for the controller, it's just switches. I have a tutorial on my site showing what goes where.

  • @SupremeJudge right, thanks bro. Yeah, this time it was the posts holding the circuit board in place and the pads not making contact with the board. also the controller had a lot of dead insects inside and they were covering the contact points between the board and the buttons. cleaned that all up. used some epoxy to re attach the posts and some longer screws to hold everything back together while it dries. works great now :D

btw, got something coming that you wanted to see.not complete though

  • @lukemorse1 Sweet dude. Can't wait.

  • @SupremeJudge hey bro, board is a rev 3-5

  • @poisondays99 I can understand your feelings man, it came out better than this though. check the next video if you have a chance.

  • You should try and find a Neo-Geo AES replacement case.

  • If you need to, scrub it with some paint stripper. If you don't scrub too hard, it shouldn't go through to the bottom layer.

  • @alec1382 yeah, that could have worked as well, I put up a video on what it looks like now. I used a magic eraser and got most of it off, thanks man :D

  • @lukemorse1 Oh, I didn't see it. But damn, is there anything that magic erasers can't do? =p

  • @lukemorse1 try arcticlean. It's a thermal remover it may help a lot with the paint that's on the system with out sanding it down.

  • @EmuNext I would love to, the problem is that a lot of cleaning solvents that are famous in other countries arent here. The magic eraser is what I used but it isnt the brand and a little different Japanese version. none the less, its the closest thing that I could find that others use as well. Thanks man.

  • Some people have no respect for thier own stuff. This guy you bought this from was obviously one of them. There's no reason this thing couldn't be in mint condition.

  • @xxxIronLeexxx yeah, I really dont know what happend here, a complete mess but it came out better than expected.

  • That poor Neo Geo AES looks like she is in rough shape. Who in their right mind would paint that thing. I would certainly not paint any one of my gaming consoles.

  • @PearlJammer07 not sure bro at all but Im guessing that it was a kid that got into some paint and this was the result. cant say for sure though.

  • who the fuck paints a neo-geo?

  • @GAMEREVIEWERMAN right, not sure but this could be the work of someones kid. it had fingerprints all over it in the paint.

  • damn dude this looks really rough. im sure you will get it cranking. and as for the shell im sure ul be able to sort out the paint. even if it means a respray it would no doubt still come out lookin sweet

  • @WickedClownNZ yeah bro, as you saw, it didnt come out too bad. lucky!

  • Sounded like a pin cleaning to me too, but you are the expert! Whatever is on the outside shouldn't effect the inside too much... right? you will get that puppy fired up in no time at all :0

  • @JillpooThree yeah, pin cleaning and adjustment but thats all :D

  • who would do that to an aes? I remember when I was a kid you had to be loaded to afford one of those, maybe they were cheaper in japan..

  • @80085word69 must have been a kid Im guessing

  • I wish I could find one in even 1/2 of that condition.....lol

cant wait to see what you did to clean it up and get it going.

  • @BigDaddyDarth I know, these systems are becoming more and more rare. glad I was able to save this one.

  • *were

  • your bids weere probably being padded

  • @kakureru you might be right on that one bro, never thought of that.

  • Who would paint a console like that? D:

  • @Theuaredead probably a kid who got into his parents paint Im guessing.

  • @lukemorse1

What will u do with this thing after you refurbish it?? Do u keep all these systems?

  • @GrifFungin sometimes he does like in his older videos he had some in the box and he used the ones he bought like this so he could keep the brand new ones stored

  • @sicknickmondo16 right, thanks for the explaination bro!

  • @lukemorse1 no problem i do the same exact thing with some of my systems

  • @GrifFungin yeah, for the rare or obscure systems I usually keep a couple of them. I used to sell the other ones on YT but pay pal in Japan doesnt allow person to person transactions anymore due to money laundering problems so I stopped. maybe in the future things will change but I clean them up, get them going right and then eventually sell some of them. shipping is the part that kills most deals as it costs up to $80 to ship a package of 5 kilos or less :(

  • looks like a good find. seems like something you can fix.

  • @pokestory1 yeah, it came out better than before so not too upset

  • @lukemorse1 I think it looks amazing. It plays well too. :)

  • I would love to see an update on this in the future. That poor console needs a lot of TLC.

  • @DemonicBliss No kidding, dude.

  • @DemonicBliss update is up bro :D

  • i am very curious to see how this turns out.

  • @moomert1 hey bro, got the update vid up now if you want to see it. You my friend need to make some new videos soon, I need my moomert1 fix bro!!

  • @lukemorse1 got some more vids coming soon, dont worry you will get your fix!

  • @moomert1 looking forward to them bro!

  • Wow awesome

  • @metakight4 thanks man.

  • first! i wish.......

  • wow that thing is rough man! best of luck, haha

  • @bitchfacerecs yeah, it was rough but its much better now bro. put up the update vid on it already but maybe you know that haha. thanks.
