My nephew and his 9-10 year old team did this play last weekend and the other team got so mad that they quit and called them cheaters...the play is legal so I don't know how they cheated! What makes it so bad is my nephew (9yrs old) was the one who called the play! The coaches of the opposing team let a 9year old make them look like amateurs!

This particular play is NOT legal. The rule is the center must be set for before the ball can be snapped. He just reached down and picked up the ball. If he would have set for a second once his hands were on the ball then the ball could have been legally snapped.

That is not a "random High School" its the National Federation of High Schools rule book. It covers most "pee wee" leagues like what is seen in the video. This play is illegal is unsportsmanlike conduct.

Read up on the rules? This play is completely illegal. From the NFHS casebook: 'verbiage used to trick the defense into believing that a snap is not imminent' is considered unsportsmanlike '. They specifically address the 'wrong ball' and 'wrong tee' plays.
