  • I'm an italian fan of frank morgan. Bird lives!

  • i saw frank and cyrus at the legion of honor in san francisco a few years ago. a truly gracious man, dressed in all white. it seemed he felt blessed to be able to play for us. beautiful music. beautiful man.

  • I had the good fortune of meeting Frank Morgan 15yrs ago at all places a gas station on Highway 66 in VA on my way home from Wash DC. I was a music major in college and he rapped with me for about an hour on all kinds of things. Practicing the right things. Then, forgetting about the things you practice and just play you. He was on his way to Charlottesville, Va where he was living at the time. He was very kind and enlightened me tremendously! A beautiful cat and very modest jazzman. RIP Frank.

  • Great stuff.

  • Great stuff.

  • Love his style. As said, nothing to prove, just some nice relaxed blowing (making it all look so easy ...). Like the sitting down approach. He should have a cat curled up on his lap (my one just runs away when I blow ...).

  • I loved this. So relaxed and swinging. Just playing, not trying to prove anything.

  • beautiful man; beautiful player.

    Itzik Basman
