Cool vid!! Yeah, the han/greedo one looks cool. The light is a really nice touch. The poses are spot on but have you added more detail on the outside now? The briefing over endor is totally badass..love that one! Jabbas is cool too :) Love the figures and the bg. Return of the jedi final fight has so many classic moments you could have and that is awesome!! Really great job my friend!!
Diggin those dioramas. Might I suggest that you spackle the inn diorama and the chairs also. Your finished painting really madethem stand out. Hamster powered ugh?. The way of the future.
All about the using whatever is available. I made Akbars chair out of white paper clips and foam core board. Real simple to make. You should add it to your Home One scene. Check out New Republic, Old Empire part 4 and you'll see what i'm talking about.
@stiglistanbul U serious? awesome buddy! I want to see it. If i had to guess by what I know about you, you probably do like the simple straight to the point ideas, and you like movie accuracy - am I right?
@BudgetJedi yep lol, this inspired me so much that I literally resumed working while watching the vid! Yes, movie accurate it has to be, I'm a perfectionist. However, it depends: If I want to just have a cool space to display my figures in, or recreate the scene! I'm gonna go for the latter though haha!
The best prop you used in your scene is the hamster ball. Because before you told us it was a hamster ball, I thought to myself, "how did he pull off the holographic world effect?"
I also like the light shining above Han Solo in carbonite - nice touch.
And in the emperor's throne scene, Iike those "control panels." Where did you get the stairs and the platform from?
@likeits1985 Thanks, the stairs and control panels I had to make myself, since I have a lot of cardboard materials around. See my video part 1 and 2 titled: "Death Star Duel Finale": Mini-Scene Display
Thanks, yes, and in my first video idea, I could not think of anything else besides Hamster Ball lol look at "Briefing Over Endor" part 1 video - I still think hamster ball is the best cheapest option to use it was $4
@JeffTheFutureJaros so far so good, it's cool to have a star wars corner display, although I don't have many big star wars fans in real life, so it's not as "appreciated" as I'd like it to be lol. Are u gonna do another xmas haul vid? you have been finding some super prices!
@BudgetJedi I hear ya on the friends, but I have a few that are a lil' interested, & my dad know's about it, & I can show it off to him as well, but I feel ya, it takes a true fan to appreciate it fully. I plan on getting out here in a few days to go find some figs, but i've had a bitch of a time since school break, bad tire on my car, plus no money to spend since I had to buy Christmas gifts, so I hope to get some figs & have some new reviews up soon, & as always, i'll be looking for deals!
Dude! This was sick man! I love the Give into your hate display! Did you think about getting a vintage collection Darth sideous from episode III and put it on the body of an emperor palpatine? The vintage has this evil smile/grimace on it, just a thought.
@lordexitium Thanks man! u know what, that's an awesome idea! The only thing that bothers me is that I think the original old emperor and ep III TVC looks nothing alike! But he does have that evil grin and that would work so well with it!
Dude, that's some serious work you put into those displays. I know you're gonna' rope or section-off that area of your home when you're entertaining. ; ) I'm one of the few people who really don't like Jabba. You made me stomach him a little more. The Jabba Throne room is way cool. Do you have a Millennium Falcon? I'd love to see you do some work around that.
@DaddyIvo Thanks man. Yes, the emperor's throne took a lot of work using my leftover cardboard. The Jabba one didn't take any work since it came with that throne.
I do have the BMF (Big Millennium Falcon, purchased it for $155 but now it's going for $140 brand new with free shipping .. duh bad move on that one) but i'm not sure what kind of work I can do on that one. I did make a silly video on that BMF, you can check it out on my channel :) thanks!
lol you say my chanel name :D i am so happy lool and i love the dioramas they are just great you can work on backhard toys i gess is the name like so . great great job doing the dioramas
Nice job on the entire display. An easier way to get a fast starfield made for the backdrop..just get an old toothbrush and dab it in some white or silver paint, and flick the paint on the sheet from about five inches distance. Just practice a couple of times on a spare sheet cause it is easy to get a line of splatter instead of a random field of stars.
@screamingsamurai Wow that's genius! You really know your stuff. I didn't even think of that - Thanks for that tip, and look forward to more of your awesome vids
@darkscoutdave Thanks bud - ack, most of my guests are not star wars nuts. But they do like star wars, so I know some of these will be familiar to them.
@BudgetJedi and if yours as good as cooking as you are at building up SW mini scenes, i'm pretty sure their stomachs will be as well fed as their imagination. Congratulations once again. your so-called "laziness" really open new perspectives for your fellow-collectors.
@darkscoutdave haha thanks for the congrats, that must be the best comment I've received so far. Basically my laziness comes from the fact that I want to use the small space that I have without buying too much stuff to make cool setups for my displays. As for cooking I always boast but end up relying on my girlfriend to do most of the cooking LOL (the truth comes out!)
@MrCorellian Thanks a lot, and really appreciate the comments and help through my work in progress! Hope you are enjoying the last 2 days of being single LOL. I wonder if next year I'd still be getting comments from MrCorellian at 2 AM EST anymore :D
really cool love the finished product, also really like the way u posed han in the han vs. greedo.
