  • THIS IS THE GROOVE. THANK YOU!

  • Should I flag this for sexual content, made me have an eargasm :)

  • i know donald byrd was like thats whats up player....

  • smooth it out now...................

  • Dilla la mayor perdida que a tenido el hiphop mundial (R.I.P)

  • Some thing to calm down too.... love it!!

  • J DILLA LE GENI

  • That's how you do a remix

  • FEELS LIKE HEAVEN, THIS DOES !!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR SHARING !!!!

  • wtf!? hes dead?? omg, no wonder why todays music is bullshit

people like jay dee and najubes r dead -.-

  • wow, definitly one of his greatest in my opinion.

i wouldn't mind making love to my man while rockin' this.

  • Massive tune

  • this whole jaylib arguement is stupid. My Opinion=-dilla and madlib are both outrageously sick producers but madlib hasn't and never will have the soul and bump that dilla has- then again i sometimes think madlib might be a better sampler. Anywayz its nuttin but love between them since day 1 and we are lucky that they hooked up on the "champion sound"-1 of the best albums ever!!!!!

  • @TheKockaRoach ..madlib bit dilla's whole style...look it up

  • Very Nice Kick Drum...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • the break at 1:40 sounds like a tribe..scenario

  • @incont12ol - it's one of the sample.

  • People like Dilla are here for a short time because this planet doesn't have enough time and space for individuals such as him. It's more for miscreants, hoodlums and buffoons, they live a longer, more disgusting life full of horrid events and so forth.

  • @helgenx

Eat a dick dude. There's plenty of good people alive and dead hop off dill's nuts for a sec.

  • @norcalbike Name a few, and I will try to go easy on you, son. I am on a musical level that niggas who rant, like yourself, are nowhere near. I know music that's not even anywhere near my age group, and I am up there when it comes to crate digging and knowing what are good sounds. I am not even a DJ, but I can always play shit that is different that I know people can feel. What you know? I was only going into Instrumental Hip Hop, but if you wanna play other shit out, get at me. Any genre.

  • @helgenx I was just saying that it's foolish of you to claim the world is not worthy of people like jay dee. He wasn't a god, just a man who had an amazing ear and sense for music. Don't even get at me about crate digging, I myself am a producer and listen to tons of shit. So whatever "musical level" your on, I could give a shit.

  • @norcalbike You do give a shit because you're still trying to prove yourself. Ain't nobody said nobody was a god nigga, don't just to conclusions.

  • Probably my favorite track by Dilla. So fresh.

  • Stop Trying To Compare J Dilla An Madlib.

Creative People Get Lonely An Bored When They Dont have Someone Up There With Them.

    Thats Why They Did Jaylib.

And It Was Mostly J Dilla Produced Stop Dick Ridin Like You Know Everything.

The Tracks Dilla Rapped On Where Madlib Tracks, An Madlib Rapped Over Dilla.

Theres Really No Need To Compare Them.

I Bet Madlib Would Say The Same Thing.

    R.I.P. J Dilla

  • Simply da best!!!

  • Are you friggin kiddin me! I just discovered this shizzle ohhh my god! this is massaging my soul to undiscribable levels. DILLA!

  • yeah i'm sorry but people who are saying dilla respected madlib more as a lyricist than a beat maker/thought he wasn't that good are misinformed. dilla played the lootpack album for ?uestlove bugging out like crazy and even ?uest didn't get it at the time. plus dilla said he lost sleep several times over madlib productions. i don't even see why the comparison needs to be made, they're both supremely gifted artists

  • Accolades to you Brother Jack McDuff, the originator of Oblighetto, without you, there would be no sample. RIP 1926 - 2001.

    rodneyo2/twitter

  • ahh yes this one definitely takes me to another place!

  • I owned the orig Donald Byrd LP this cover is based on - Vinyl!!!

  • Another unsung hip hop legend gone before the world realized. I guess with jay and nujabes, god said there was too much heat in one kitchen so he took them both. They still ain't ready for these cats and they already left. R.I.B. Rest in beats to Jay Dilla and Nujabes

  • dilla....one of he most slept on...yet one of the greatest of all time

  • @obatron1 Dilla? Slept on? Lol.

  • theres a diff between good and great. madlib is good. dilla is excellence.

  • @MikeMunday222 dont jugde too fast on madlib

  • The Best Dilla's beat ever

  • 2:00 is the best part

  • That's Just You, Dr Dre Is Mad Weak Fool

Get Outta Here With That Wack Shit.

  • dilla is the king but go fuck yourself dre is ill

  • dilla and dre are bot h pioneers, but for different reasons.

  • Comment removed

  • @ezearl if dre were to try to even use a sample he would fuk up cats way over rated put the worst white rapper i have ever heard on to the scene man eminem fukin vanilla was bad but m an m is like mad bull man

  • dr. dre mad weak? lol, u get outta hear wit that "wack shit!"

    Basically invented a whole genre...

  • dr dre is wack as hell he hasnt realeased anything even worth mentioning in well over 15 years

  • I like the original but this is completely insane i have to say J DILLA will for ever continue to change the face of music

  • is it me or do i hear parts of "deep cover" by dr dre. on this song??

  • how are the dj cam and jazzanova songs on this LP

  • this beat is sexy with te horns. Dilla is forever Beastly

  • waouuuuuhhhhh BEST TRACK!!

  • Welcome to Head Nodd High I will be your instructor my name is Mr. Yancey

    Roll call

    1. Flying lotus

    2. Flyamsam

    3. 9 wonder

    4. D.J. Premier

  • hey you forgot madlib and pete rock

  • you cant put madlib and pete rock in the same sentence...thats like putting KiD CuDi and Eminem on the same level

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 dude those are 2 of the biggest bullshit cats out their and you know it m an m raps about pointless bullshit all the time and his patterns get old kid cudi bit off tribe man that is bull shit if you dont think thats bullshit then i dont know man

  • personally i dont like cudis flow at all but to go against EM? you gotta be outta your fuckin mind who do u think is nice then? if em's patterns got old people would catch on like they did with q-tip

  • Comment removed

  • 1st of all you fuck off...you cant compare rock to lib...Pete Rock is a fuckin legend...Madlib is an OK rapper and an OK producer...pete rock should be inducted in the hip hop hall of fame...i respect him but people need to know there place...if i became a producer and got millions of fan more than pete rock...id never put myself in the same category because he will always be "Pete Rock"

  • Comment removed

  • u damn rite i love hip hop BITCH all day and if u dont get the fuck off this video because its hip hop mufucka! and whos talkin about ability...im talkin about status and time...if you dont know your history then dont argue with someone who does

  • I love hip hop too, that's not the point you idiot. But just because your momma told you Pete Rock was the shit when she was young, it doesn't mean you can't acknowledge the talent of others.

Madlib has got mad skills, and can largely be compared to Pete in terms of sampling style, ear for music etc.

I'm not saying Lib is a legend, 'cause clearly Pete Rock pioneered this shit.

In terms of quality, Lib ain't far from Rock.

In terms of status, of Course Rock is beyond Lib.

  • im talkin about status here not quality if you were payin attention and keep my mom outta this you dirty fuckin shit talker

  • @pimpinmyplaya92

You never said you were talking about status - you only stated, that Madlib can't be compared to Lib. Who the fuck started shit talking, you dirty fuck? It was you comin' all up in this bitch, actin' like you real hard. Get the fuck out of here. This is nothin' but Youtube, so chill the fuck out and learn how to make conversation.

YOU NEVER WROTE ANYTHING ABOUT STATUS UNTIL THE MESSAGE!

  • if you paid attention to what i said the first time about being legendary and comparing time in the game youd see that...and you called me an idiot out of nowhere dumbshit reread your own replies

  • they are different, and if your born in 92 like your name suggests, how would you know music all that well anyways? no dis but when i was 18 i havent heard half of pete rock or madlibs shit. they are different dudes who have different styles and madlib is def a game changing guy like pete rock was in his peak time

  • i bet your the one givin everybody especially me the thumbs downs...and 1 great quality i have is i know a lot for my time...i study and explore into hip-hop i can name more underground rappers from people plder than me then some Djs on the radio

  • nigguh madlib is a hip hop GOD, idk wat u talkin bout

  • @nicanutz nah u wallin...but hes nice

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 lol i feel like the only dude who was ever on libs level was dilla, cats like pete and primo is probably a tier lower. it dont really matter tho just be thankful that your able to enjoy good music and your not a slave to that young mulah bs

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 nah man... no disrespect to pete rock, as he is one of the best ever (other than dilla... ) but madlib is right up there...

  • @SpeakNoEvil123 chill...not before Premier, 9th, or Hi-Tek

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 in your opinion... which one of them did a duo album with dilla? oh yeah that was madlib... we should let dilla be the judge ya?

  • @SpeakNoEvil123 iight write dilla a letter, give him time to respond and send it to m lmao...and if you asked dilla who his favorite producer was, i bet $ it wasnt madlib

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 you missed my point... dilla WORKED with MADLIB therefore saying that he respected MADLIB as a motherfuckin DOPE producer... dilla never did a dup album with 9th wonder, premier or tek

  • @SpeakNoEvil123 but jaylib was an almost all jay dee-produced album...he respected Madlib as a lyricist more than a producer...and it was because madlib and dilla were on the same label that it was like that... and the arguement was that madlib is up by pete rock, premo, etc. he was respectable but no where near as pete rock 9th tek premo dilla etc.

  • @pimpinmyplaya92 Dude Dilla joined stones throw after champion sound. And the album was split equally between spitting and production. Not one sided at all. There's the scenario sample at 1:45!

  • Here we go yo, Here we go yo, so what, so what's the SCENARIO!

    lovin it!

  • Dilla's best beat in my opinion.

    This brings tears of WIN.

  • *single tear* Eternal love runs deep as the beat

  • Another Sexy remix from Dilla! RIP

  • this iz dope.......I LOVE THIS TRACK

  • Dilla, Madlib and 9th were sent to this planet to break all forms of mental slavery, to provide the vehicle for interplanetary travel:- sicka than sick music! This shit's the fuel for my craft... Travel In Peace Dilla.........

  • Well, it's an old tradition that Dilla carried on in his own right. You could say Miles Davis, Sun Ra, JB, Sly Stone, Bob Marley and P-Funk were all bruthaz from another dimension sent here to free your mind from the shackles of mental slavery.

  • @Lutah79 I concur my BROTHA, that they were.

  • @Lutah79 nigga please!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Lutah79 indeed my dude... Fliying lotus and Dr. Who Dat (JJ) are on that same planet...

  • @Lutah79

preach the word brotha ! or sista !

  • @Lutah79 Great choice of words.

  • @Lutah79 no offense, but in my opinion 9th is nowhere near Dilla and Madlib...i got love for him, but he is not on their level

  • harddddddd

  • did he sample that? or play some of that stuff in the studio, cauz it sounds so good and the drums are knocking really hard :) anyways i love it

  • Brother Jack McDuff - Oblighetto

  • I think he played a lot of that. I sampled this record a couple years ago and then found this and a lot of it is not on the record

  • Well actually if u listen to the song most of the stuff IS from the original record...unless I'm misinterpreting what ur saying. I mean, if u meant the rhodes and elec piano, then YES I'm pretty sure he might have played those.

  • wow, brilliant - added to favorites, this is absolutely amazing.

  • J DILLA FOREVER.

    PAY JAY FOREVER,

    (He deserves it).

    R.I.P. J Dilla,

    Hip-hop Eternalist

  • haha more or less... i thnk about dillas lil girls... they need to get paid ya know???!!!! =)

  • this is hot dillagent as ever

  • That handclap is so severe! TURN IT UP! A little louder! RIB DILLA DOG!

  • how many hip hop producers are allowed to fuck with Blue Note records??

  • u lokkin for a figure or sumthin?

  • Lots actually... Verve and Blue Note have put out a few compilations like this. It's like a way for them to make money of songs they thought were gone forever.

  • madlib got a whole record to himself not a while back

  • I got that album too, and it is absolutely phenomenal what he did with that record. It's a shame Dilla passed so soon, cuz I'd love to hear what he could've done with access to the entire Blue Note catalog like with Madlib.

  • You know i had that same though myself, especially listening to Jazz classics like this and "Think Twice" and it's a DAMN SHAME.

Jay Dee was a serious Jazz head and it's partly due to him, Madlib, Pete Rock, Primo.. etc. that i'm into my jazz SO MUCH.

  • *typo correction* "same thought"

  • and they all love weed

  • ill j-dilla forever cosmic vibe

  • OHNE WORTE

    Thxs for sharing passjay :)

  • I swear if i met a man that could produce like this, i would marry him on the spot .lol

  • TIGHT!!!

    Word!!!

  • great beats :)

  • absolutly in love with dis track.........ridiculously beautiful

  • opinions on the rest of the album??..,

  • this shit is real hip-hop.

  • ill as fuck

  • I agree, the album was straight. Had a couple jams on it, this being my favorite. I just love how Dilla would slow down jazz joints and freak the hell out of them!

  • you should how he flips the herbie hancok's "running to me" sample for "get this money". I don't know how begins to hear it. He's the only sampler i truly respect. DRE is whack cause he doesn't reinvent. Ye is the second best cause he can mainstream and reinvent anything

  • dilla did it again

  • just thinking about what type of music this guy made, makes you wanna cry or somethin'. Strictly Classic stuff right here. I heard the original and was like, "how the hell did Dilla think of doin that?" simply amazing. You will never hear music of his caliber nowadays.

  • It'z because he has the gift man,Im still wondering how he makes beats that never sound the same but you know dat it'z a jay dee beat

  • Classic Jay Dee rip

  • this is my ringtone right now. rip jay dee

  • classic j dilla style!!! could listen to such beats all day long, peace
