I was 30 the year this came out. It was the most confusing and timultuous time of my life. I was just getting over being in a violent relationship and serious heroin addiction. For the first time since 1973 I went back to England where I grew up, hadn't been home since 1967 at 15. The first part of my adult life ended in NYC with disco and the rest of my life, whatever it was to be, started with this music. I was scared shit less but this made it worth the effort to keep going.
