for prom i wore a white, tight dress with one sleeve that had big white flowers on it. my hair had extensions in and to keep my hair from coving up the detail on the sleeve it was pinned back in a braid. i wore 3 inch heels that have a strappy detail and a zipper on the front part and for makeup i did a smokey brown smokey eye with red lips [:

i won't be going to prom until next year but i already have my dress idea picked out. i want a floorlength silk corset dress with the tie back in a light rose or blush color. ill probably pair it with pearl earrings and a short pearl necklace and my black patent leather louboutins. and ill also tie my hair back in a low chignon. simple, classic, and totally me :)

yep prom is at the start of May for me :D in the UK we have one at the end of highschool, which is at age 16. @dancergrrl the dress sounds lovely! just some advice: before adding any lipstain, put a great lipbalm like EOS under to keep lips hydrated and soft!

if you do get chapped lips make a sugar scrub for ur lips (has i tsp of honey, 1 tsp sugar, and a bit of vaseline and scrub gently. michelle phan has a video on it!)

and wear the lipstain before to see ur reaction to it (does it make lips look wrinkly?)

for prom, i will be wearing a dark hot pink mermaid dress that has small beaded details. i know it sounds tacky, but its a really nice dress. The silhouette and fabric make it classy (i borrowed it from my cousin so i spent no money! SCORE!) For my hair, i will probably go with a textured side bun inspired by Audrina Patridge. I will be doing my own makeup, which will be a neutral smokey eye with a pale pink lip! I will focus more on contouring my cheeks since the eyes and lips are neutral.

I didnt go to homecoming because I couldnt find a dress that would fit. @beautilationxoxo good for you thatyou dont care about the height difference!=) dan is only an inch taller than me so when i wear heels im like 4in taller than him! lol- i would say the best way to get used to wearing heels would be to just wear them=) you'll get more and more used to walking in them and feeling confident and secure=) theyre so fun and girly and can really change an outfit!
