  • haha wtf is the old fluid going? the ground?

  • what did you do yo drive way,no hose or open end wrenches?

  • A couple things for anyone watching. Protect your skin. Brake fluid is very toxic and absorbs quickly into your body through your skin.

Understand that if you haven't performed this maintenance routinely since the car was new (complete fluid flushes), you can damage the master cylinder with this method. Sludge that builds up will damage the seals as the pedal is being pushed further into the M/C bore than it would be under normal operation.

  • @TheAristotleQ what other method i should do that will not damage master cylinder..thanks in advance.

  • 2 man way works great. but to remove optimum air from lines, pump brake pedal about 10 times, then hold pedal to the floor, and then only release air nipple on caliper. when the fluid and air releases out of system, then finger (or ring wrench) tighten and after that only does the foot get released of the brake pedal. repeat process. thats the way my old man taught me. i practice that on motorbikes as well. cheers

  • @sauplink7975 than kyou that is excellent advice.

  • WTF IS THAT MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND did hea rally needed to put that

  • one question what gos first .opening bleeder or pressing the brake. i have seen other videos on the same topic and they first pump the brake then press the brake and second opening the bleeder. who's actually correct.

  • Excellent video very helpful ! =D

  • great instruction... one more question.

keep bleeding until the fluid is all gone?

and how much fluid do i put in back?

    thank you very much.

  • @lazyhorse22 I show wa unconventional way, that means i use more or less with what I know. you never bleed andempty, you always keep fluids high always add as you take out. or else you have no brakes.

  • @fishycomics

    okay, thank you.

  • @lazyhorse22 U BLEED UNTIL YOU SEE CLEAN BRAKE FLUID SQUIRTING OUT.....

  • @lazyhorse22 Until you see clean/new fluid coming out at all wheels.

  • @mrcnp1

thanks for the info. Best to you. :))

  • best explanation so far..great job

  • Good vid, save me time figuring it out. Thanks.

  • Thanks for this lesson it really helped me.

  • Trying to bleed my bakes. Do you think I could find the right socket??? Nope At a total stand still lol. Moved to Barrie,Ont and sold all my tools when I left Alberta. Have everything but that socket. And say go get one lol Need to drive to do that lol

  • @ComputerVermin

Opps And don't go say go get get one. Need to drive to do that lol

  • good video, you dont need to reply or respond the stupid comment, just ignore it,

  • Good video mate, dont pay attention to the other moron comments . Your video is the only one that is easy to understand. I watched about six others the sequence explanations arent good. You have explained it so its easy to understand .Good job.

  • @grace717135 thank you. I take my time, I makes sure my ride is 110% step by step fixed, and the video is a guide line for me, if others want to learn they will by the simplicity of that, otherwise. I hear ya LMAO!

  • awsome mate. keep up the good work. dont listen to the trolls

  • used a c clamp

  • what a shitty video, remove the damn music...idiot

  • @YNCX

  • thank you, it was very detail and from step 1 to the end ..THUMBS UP!!

  • Are you bleeding the fluid onto the driveway? To lazy to put a container underneath?

  • @stcywll what does the video frame show? wht does it show outside the frame. what me to lay dow every singledetail for you.

  • dude, he should press BEFORE you open. You never want to open before he presses the brake pedal. If you open before, air will come in. In the video you are doing it wrong.

  • boy a fraction of a second LOL we call this a uncoventional way. enjoy.

  • @fishycomics good job

  • great video

  • @gomerfa NOPE...HES DOING IT RIGHT...WHEN YOU PRESS ON THE BRAKE WHILE THE BLEEDER IS OPEN ALL ITS DOING ITS PUSHING THE PRESSURE OUT WHICH PUSHES THE BRAKE FLUID OUT...AND HE HAS TO CLOSE THE BLEEDER BEFORE HE RELEASES THE BRAKE OR ELSE IT SUCKS IN AIR WHILE THE BRAKE PEDAL GOES INTO NORMAL POSITION.....

  • @tonyubaldo I allways though if u open the bleeder before u press the pdelan there is a small chance air will go inside. Maybe im wrong

  • @gomerfa NO USUALLY WHEN U OPEN THE BLEEDER FLUID COMES OUT..IT ONLY GETS AIR IF U LEAVE IT OPEN AND YOU PUMP THE BRAKE...BUT IF U PRESS IT N LET GO BEFORE CLOSING IT..IT SUCKS AIR IN.. DATS HOW YOU GET AIT..OR EVEN IF YOUR RESEVOIR IS TOO LOW ON BRAKE FLUID YOU CAN GET AIR IN YOUR LINES LIKE THAT ASWELL...

  • @tonyubaldo Thanks for clearing that up

  • @gomerfa If pedal is not pressed, and you open the valve no fluid will squirt out. You can accedently open it and quickly close it, and you do not have to bleed the brake. but once you open it and press/ then depress you are sucking air in, It is best to apply pressure, then open and close before it is fully pressed, safest way.

  • @fishycomics I have allways pressed before opening just to be safe.

  • hey fishycomics you know that the rear brakes caliper to move it back you have to twist it back right do you bleed them the same way?

  • nut sure, of the 2002 it is same as the front. I hear otehr cars of Honda has something like that.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you...a million times over! I got air in my brake lines when the rear piston popped out, but thanks to this (and someone on the pedal, of course) I was back up and running in no time.

    Thanks again!

  • Engine should run during brake on/off procedure....

  • how do we know all air is bleeded from brake lines. how many times we should repeat "press & release" process.

  • thank you for your question. If you believe you ave air inline, it's best to use a fish hose, wen you press/ release, till no more air bubbles are seen, may be one press or twenty press per wheel. I do around 6x per, which is suffucient for me,

  • can I use cooking oil insted of brake fluid?

  • nar, use cat piss instead.....

  • use gasoline

  • easy and simple...thanks man

  • you are very Welcomed. at given times you need notto bleed brakes, but in case air gets in you have the idea.

  • Thanks for the video how to fishy! It was a great help.

  • Get a decent set of wrenches man

  • yeah these are those purchase $10.00 and get a fre set. LMAO. they are decent or not

  • why do you talk so slow

  • why do you follow,

  • what da fuck does that meen

  • this is a video about cars, and to rush a thing , wouldnot be good. so why I talk slow, ahs not athing to do with my personal life enjoy.

  • you are the man I always wanted to learn how to do it !! thanks buddy

  • thanks for the tutorial!!

  • I can only laugh as again this video only shows the way t o\ change the Brake fluid and is captured , in something that is entirely off camera. and looks like it is on hte floor, thank you for the posts END

  • who cares about the environment spill the oil on the floor, time or rain will take care of it...do your breaks just like this guy the professional way...lol geeez at list use a bucket or the dogs food little plate then take d oil to a recycling place..

  • I can only say in the scene its Pinkish. and that is all I have to say. But to comment in the post near the end, was not needed. some may find offensive but hey behind the scene shots and pure detailed may be needed for some next time round

  • why its called a blankie nota snuggie

  • Holy Madoff, are you russian ? Very unprofessional Video !

    - Big Wrench on a tiny bleed screw ???

    - Press, release, press release... oil on the floor ? Cartons ?

pressing the pedal like pumping a tire for air ?

No ofense but the World has already a million home mechanics jerking off their yards and sidewalks instead of asking help to a professional.

Here's my "Press ... Release" for this Video ! DELETE IT !

  • todays password: F R E E

  • thank you sir!!

  • thankyou, very helpful.

  • Thanks for the tutorial :)

  • more to it after video ends.

  • thanks for not appropriately disposing of the brake fluid

  • you're correct

so I shall not explain further then

  • You bled the front first? You always work the one furthest from the master cylinder FIRST then closer and closer. Most vehicles with left hand drive would be right rear first, then left rear, right front and finally left front. Master cylinder is usually done before installation (bench bleeding). Brown fluid means water contamination rusting the bores, black/grey means the seals are wearing. Cloudy honey colored means water contamination with no rust (yet).

  • exactly your right and this guy is an idiot. i guess me and you will be stopping before him

  • a book is great for refrence, watching others for hints, doing one yourself correctly is best

  • Great instructions. I can follow it definitely. Keep up the good work! Thanks.

  • lol

  • Can i bring my car over? it needs a good mechanic!

  • your cylinder might be seized if your fluid is browm

  • color of your fluid would get some advice from a pro not just us. if it is dirty it can not hurtto change out with the correct fluid marked in your owners manual or brake reserve

  • I have a problem that you may understand fishycomics, my brake fluid turns Brown and cloudy within a few days, does this mean it has water contamination? it was brand new DOT 4 oil?

  • your welcomed just use a lil common sense that's all in catching the fluids

  • Nice video, I always wanted to know how to bleed brakes, this video really makes it simple. Thanks for posting..

  • Nice work mate =) now I know how to bleed my brakes. Cheers!!!

  • very informative video, i learned a lot

    thanks

  • what are you nuts. LOl no I collected the fluid never do such a thing if it looks that way

  • are you seriously just dumping the used brake fluid on the ground?!

  • thank you glad you enjoyed you may want to do it your own way add a few precations etc .

  • awesome tutorial!
