  • Can anyone tell me if there's an album that contains dance music (deadmau5 ish) which only has music and no acappella ( in other words made for mixing?

  • This helped alot thanks

  • To the nob who said he talks to much , your a Gimp. Im not a huge fan of the music he plays,I'm in a metal band. But I love watching him and I take huge intrest in everything he says a dose because I'm a fan of music in general and theory and I can appreciate the guy taking time out of his day to help others and its idiots like you who boil my piss. Ignorant. Cheers ellaskins :)

  • yheaaa I can Do it nice man thnx.

  • U talk to fucking much!

  • @bript That's because he is trying to teach people you moron. People like you just want to be able to learn to DJ overnight. Bitch.

  • @BidgeProductions Bitch please... For a forward cut he does talk to fucking much...

  • @bript There is a reason this guy has so many followers. Because he explains things in depth. If you're such a brilliant all round DJ like Johnathon then please uploads videos of you doing it instead of explaining. If not then shut the fuck up.

  • @BidgeProductions No doubt that he helps people... He has helped me in the past... i'm just saying that In this video he doest talk to fucking much for a forward cut, its just a fact... Anyway... im going to shut up so people like u can act tough! Peace

  • @bript Act tough? Ok then buddy.

  • turn the bloody tables the other way around .twat

  • what is the purpose of the scratch? I mean sometimes the dj's do it all the time and exactly I found it very annoying.

  • What's a good place to get equipment for a beginner??

  • @atomicfunk714 thomann, the best music shop ever!

  • @spiderduck29 should i get some expensive ones if im a beginner

  • @atomicfunk714 nope. i started with a DJ CONTROLLER, not a turntable ;) im still DJing with the co´ntroller (numark mixtrack pro) cause i love it so much :)

  • Just a quick question, does touching a vinyl record damage the actual record? Even when scratching properly? Thanks

  • press 6662

  • Type in DJ Q-bert to learn to scratch. This is NOT the first scratch you should learn. A. he is using a channel fader not cross fader B. The first scratch you learn is a Baby Scratch which is without the fader and sounds much better than this. Credit to this bloke for giving his time up for so many tutorials. Almost all the equipment reviews I've watched have been done by this chap and he know's his stuff with DJ'ing. And a man after my own heart, vinyl purist.

  • too much of an effort i am good doing math,

  • Sorry for spam guys but check out my channel for the newest electro/house mixes :) Thanks.

  • say you wanted to scratch through a measure, beats 1,2,3, and 4. how would you end up on the next measure? if you were scratching a record with a beat on it, where do you release the record to ensure you don't let go on the wrong beat?

  • @RockVoltz EXACTLY what I want to know.

  • Nice video! I had no idea of scratching what so ever, this was enlightening.

  • I'm bit confused about the vinyl scaratching, does the needle ruin the record or are they special needles for scratching and DJ'ing?

  • Is it possible for the guy to sound any more middle class? He's talking like a CBBC presenter, not some G from the hood. What is it, the Blue Peter guide to scratching?

    (It is quite helpful though).

  • @z00ts00t77 Why do you have to be a G from the Hood to scratch? You must be very stupid and unaware that 90 percent of DJs are white kids playing "Trance"

  • RATED FAG

  • thank you

fuck the haters, this lesson was veeery helpful, thanxalott!!

  • that guy loves the sound of his own voice ... by now i hate it

  • We all know how incompetent Jonathan is, but we all love him and enjoy his hopeless efforts to actually teach somebody. I just love how seasons are changing in his house. In one video about bass drum sound and auntie's underwear it was snowing. Now the sun is too bright and burned his skin. Pause at 4:56 and check out the different color of his arms.

  • @scopchanov I dont think he is incompetent. I DJ and his stuff is pretty spot on. Its one thing to demonstrate something and another thing to be concentrating fully on the mix.. hes teaching..

  • @TheDustinash I am speaking about his drumming skills. Check out his drumming tutorials and if your are a drummer, then you will definitely agree that he is incompetent. I know that this particular video isn't about drumming, but it's the same person and he's still sweet as a pie. :) Cheers!

  • @TheDustinash no he can't scratch at all but he can mix wich is much easier

  • amazing!! after 6years of playing on vinyl, 10years learning and producing, tried some scratching...

But what I've never figured out by myself is, to move the hand along with the sample... Geez, no wonder I was having trouble staying in touch with the first beat !!! Thanx man, your skillz and knowhow are just briliant

  • @aramis2206 hahahaha thats fucking class!

  • @aramis2206 lol yes! Everyone press "6" three times, pause for a second, then repeat. You are now "Skratching" on your computer.

  • dude this is awesome because u actually explaine it not like other assholes

  • Watch my tutorials for a different look

  • Very good lesson! thanks for your teaching!!!

  • @SeanReyDJ Yeah, a scratch just adds to a record already playing. But you can use them in beat drops too. Scratching is just another tool to be used in conjunction with other methods.

  • respect man, keep up the tutorials, great help

I accidentally voted your comment with a thumbs up, although I really intended to vote it thumbs down. Just letting you know.

Besides, this lets him focus the camera closer to the set. I like to be able to see what's going on.
