  • What is the story of Finlands and Hungrians?

  • Comment removed

  • @YellowSSS Hungarians and Finnish are coming from the same ancient homo sapiens group. Coming from east Hungarians decided to go south and Finnish north.. That's the story i guess! Nice short! I invite you all to come at the World Culture Festival in Berlin 2nd and 3rd of July 2011. Celebrating all the cultures of the world in 2 days.. Will be amazing!!! Maybe we are going to meet each other on the train my friend ;) lol!
  • Zseniális!!! :)

  • needs subtitles

  • @xrampage521 No, this is the beauty of this film. How two travelers over come a language barrier. You can still talk to someone who does not speak your language.

  • xD so funny

  • from multiuserpad (mrdoob) hello

  • nice nice nice nice xDDDDDD

  • Jópofa, hogy ki nem alakulnak jó ismeretségek! :) nem árt végigkérdezni pár nyelven, mit tud. (I'm from Hungary :D )

  • haha it's awesome!

  • Prima video!

  • hahaha excelent.

  • Lmao.....didn't they think of online translator? :P

  • whoa whoa. someone please explain to me what happened at the end. I read some of the comments and I'm guessing that the two realized they both understood french? Cus, before I thought the bald guy stole the other dudes pants and wallet. xP

  • Super

  • totally hilarious.

Kinda gives me the "lost in translation" vibe. Bon!

  • uah! just great! :-)

  • my heart for linguistics is beating hard

  • Haha!

  • omg the ending was hilarious:P

  • so funny!!!!! =) I understand all the languages, especially french!!! x)

  • Interesting. It would have been cool to understand the german and french, but it was better without subtitles.

  • that was clever! :p

  • great script but it could have been executed better

  • Ha had a computer... and it seems to be on the internet, so i can understand why they dont use google Translator

  • so a fin and a hungarian speaking english and german on a train in france... GENIUS!

  • This already happened to my dad xD

  • Can somebody translate the french part?

  • They say: Hey you speak french; shit, we are stupid, and then he says at last: I will write to you!

  • GREAT!!! Haha XD, I understand everything except the french :D

  • I really liked this one. Reminded me of "Night on Earth".

  • cool scripte.great, lovely short.

  • Simply ingenious! :-)

  • super

  • nice ;D

  • jajjajajajaa.... excellent!!! :D

  • Wow

That was probably the best movie I have ever seen on YouTube. It reminds me a lot about my own experiences.

The end was good too but the movie would also have been awesome without :)

  • the whole thing is in the end! ;D

  • Hahahaha that's awesome =D

  • Ahahaaha how cleverr.

  • I did not get the end....=*

  • @HorsieChika: They go through the whole train journey thinking that one can only speak Finnish and a bit of English and the other German and a bit of English. At the end they find out that they can both speak fluent French.

Very good short! 5 stars from me.

  • ur comment kinda ruins the movie for me, no hard feelings, but after reading it the movie lost it's sense for me... :(

  • they couldnt communicate well, but in the end they found out they both speak french, but never thought to ask. ironic. i like

  • Eh what, his comment explaining the short ruined the video because you didn't understand it?

  • good thing your dead and u have no a good grammar me like that eat cookie

u understand me miss no grammar

  • good thing the Finnish guy could speak english, cause its one of the hardest languages to learn!

  • haha this is fantastic =)

and the guy in the red was abit phit =)

  • Brilliant!. Lo mejor y es genial!

  • Brillant!

  • c'est génial, super idée

    bravo vraiment

  • génial !!! Ah mais ils sont pas doués quand même =)

  • I liked it a lot, but the German accent was butchered.

  • Cute idea, but why was the Hungarian guy speaking (very bad) German? And BUTTER is the same word in German and English. They need to work out some technical details.

  • They both have same spelling but different pronunciation. They are close but of'course for one who cannot speak even C grade English it becomes obvious not to understand. or sometimes the "brain don't vibrate together" ;)

  • Apparently, they both got on the train in France. So, why wouldn't they begin by speaking French to each other??? Idiots.

  • well...that kind of stuff happend in real life...you said that's idiotic but in real life you may be in the same situation...

  • wait, what was on the piece of paper he gave him??

  • I'm guessing some contact info. The Hungarian calls out that he'll write to him so I guess he gave him his name and address from the wallet.

  • Wait. So they both speak French, but didn't realize it until one guy gets off the train? That's rediculous. if I spoke French and English, I would try English first and then French.

  • Awesome!! :D

  • how fascinating the world is...

and how facinating a language can both separate and bond people together...

a very nice clip... one of the favorites

    fortunately...

Ich spreche ein bisschen Deustch!! kakakaka... =)

  • i love it! great

  • thx for another great clip :)

  • hehehe i liked this one, it was very well done, it deserves more views than it's been given so far

  • Tu parle francaise?! hahahaha....

  • ))))))))))) cool!!!

  • hahah really funny ^^

  • very clever

  • Sehr Gut!

  • hahaha wonderful!!

  • amazing :P

    ♥

  • i dont get it

  • Both of them speak french but they did not discover this until the Hungarian disembarked from the train. A subtly humorous story; both had much in common but had only rudimentary ability to communicate with each other until the Hungarian on the platform heard his coach mate speak french. Cute.

  • :p That's German, not French, that the guy with the red jacket is speaking.

    besides that, nice clip. ^_^

  • Actually, they speak french at the end of the movie. This ends up being the common language between the two. German was the language spoken only by one of the characters early in the movie.

  • But he speaks french at the end.

  • English not good enough for em eh?

  • Not everybody speaks english. But surely you must have known this?

  • Well why didnt they learn it better? Everyone in the world should at least speak English as a second language, i had to learn french and german at school.

  • nice! good short.

  • that made me smile

  • haha wonderful :)

  • Fantastic.

    Be Well.

  • when he saw his card, it was then when he discovered that the guy on the train spoke french, a common language between the two of them.

  • Ahh ok. I didnt get that at first.

    Thanks.

  • No I don't think it's the card, he just said "Merci" maybe because he couldn't say it in english and the other guy answers "De rien" (= no problem), then he says (in french) "Do you speak french?", the other one nods, "We're silly!" - "It's unbelievable!" - "Shit... Shit! [...] I'll write you!"

  • he doesn't say "we're silly" he says "unbelivable"

  • Before the one on the train says "unbelievable" the other one says "we're silly". And don't argue, 'cause I am French xD

  • @572181 Not exactly :) it was when he said "merci" and he answered "de rien" that he understood

  • lol. that's wonderful irony

  • understood all except the last part. but the video was awesome.

  • great. easy to follow without subtitles.
