  • all of ya hating on flay, i dare ya to make a plate better than his..

  • When Morimoto says "I was lucky, that's all", it was a thinly veiled insult to the tasting panel.

  • Remind me not to make an ass out of myself on national television by pretending I have the palatte to judge gourmet crab cooking.

  • Morimoto is such a great role model, and I hope Tommy, Morimoto's biggest fan, becomes a great chef, and hopefully an American Iron Chef, so that he can replace Bobby Flay.

  • The Zagats SUCK ASS!

The Zagat survey is FAKE AS HELL!

The Michelin Star guide is the real deal!

GO TO HELL TIM & NINA ZAGAT!

  • SUCK IT BOBBY FLAY!!!

    WOOO!!! MORIMOTO!!!!

  • I think this result is not only due to standing cutting board. Decisive reason might be Oliginarity on presentation. Morimoto's creation had width for taste.

  • jumping on the cutting board is disrespect in japanese culture because they see food as sacred

  • Flay's ingredients and skill seem practically comparable to anyone working at a Chipotle. His Tex Mex "flair" has NOTHING on the sophistication and flavor profiles of traditional Japanese cuisine, let alone Morimoto's avant garde style. Go suck some black beans and corn, Bobby Flay.

  • まな板の上に立つ奴に負けるなんてありえない

  • the next iron chef is going to be the next super iron chef to join emeril

  • did that first judge just pour some wine in her soup?

  • im sorry but that kid is retarded.

  • @TheDive99

He's not retarded, just shy. Or maybe even socially awkward but that was a mean thing to say.

  • bobby should not have stood on the chopping board its pure disrespect to culinary

  • @itzMagoo i'll be a better chef then you'll ever be too so whats that say about you? loser!! LOL.

  • flay ain't got no talent what a loser, his food looks like crap instead of crab. cocky loser. He's Not A Chef!! LOL.

  • Anderson Cooper...What Heresy is This?!...

  • Flay got robbed.

  • I wonder what would have happened if Michiba had fought against Flay

  • @dkix89 If Bobby Flay went up against Rokusaburo Michiba Flay would not stand a chance against "the maverick of Japanese cuisine"

  • BOBBY FLAY BEHAVED UNPROFESSIONALLY DURING THE FINAL MOMENTS OF THE BATTLE AS I AGREE WITH IRON CHEF MORIMOTO: "CUTTING BOARDS ARE SACRED"

  • I want to see all four ICA chefs on Chopped.

  • REMEMBER THERE ARE 5 ON ICA: BOBBY FLAY,MASAHARU MORIMOTO, MICHAEL SYMON, JOSE GARCES AND MARC FORGIONE SO I WOULD LIKE TO SEE THEM AND THE HONORARY IRON CHEFS MARIO BATALI, WOLFGANG PUCK, CAT CORA AND SUPER IRON CHEF EMERIL LAGASSE THERE

  • @dwarrior58 theyre gonna be starting another season of "The Next Iron Chef" beginning at the end of the month,im wondering who's gonna go to make room for this new one,and i belive one of either Cora's or Batali's sous chefs is going to be among the group scheduled to participate in this Next Iron Chef season

  • food transcends language and culture... it is probably one of the most uniting element in human history..

  • Fuck you Flay!!! Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck Youuuuuuuuuuu!!!

  • love his pose at 4:33

  • this is like american idol food style. lol. jeers and cheers.

  • you're the best chef morimoto!!!!

  • i wasnt aware that flavors and tastes can....embrace...anything...These judges are dipshits

  • 本当に審査員は味わかるのかな?悲しくなってきた。

    森本はアメリカから出た方がいいよ。

    アメリカ人が料理に対して、食べることも作ることも真剣になれないことがよくわかった。

  • Morimoto is a beast, PERIOD....

  • roflmao Omg they are treating Tommy like he's some cancer kid XD. "Morimoto went to thank Tommy after the battle..." (my dub) " After failing in culinary college at age 18, Tommy became addicted to drugs. What happened to the innocent boy we all remember from Iron Chef New York? Find out on the next 60 min."

  • @babablackiesheep so I read this and almost fell out of my chair...you are too silly ^_^

  • Somebody shoot the guy who shouted, "U.S.A." The olympics aren't here yet you schmuck.

  • Michiba has tears in his eyes, man this is serious competition

  • Anthony Amoroso killed it though in 09 vs Morimoto... I read his bio, seems to have been fortunate enough to have had mentors which are rare these days...

  • bobby flay got issues

  • No shit americans dont have a rich tradition. It's a country of immigrants. Youtube comments are so dumb

  • those new yorkers are not representying americans well their acting like white hill billy yuppies, and is no wonder people from other countries dont really like us, and chef bobby acted very disrespectfully

  • fuck bobby flay, I can't stand obnoxious competitors like that.

  • "you really are the comeback kid"...? um, what? what exactly did bobby flay "come back" from? i was unaware that he left....

as for "kid"...yep. flay is pretty childish.

  • @dreadwaste he came back from cutting his finger *rolls eyes*

  • @hb013 some super glue and you're back in business. Geez, I half expected Bobby to run to his mommy in the front row when he got a boo boo.

  • Bobby Flay is a typical insensitive New Yorker. He knew that standing on the cutting board would offend Morimoto, who was a guest in our country, and he did it anyway. Flay is no better than a hoodlum gang member. I'm embarrassed for him.

  • Morimoto looks pissed like hell throughout the judging.

  • you got owned Bobby Gay

  • The scores from the "Zagats" were the most biased... Guaranteed they were among the top contributors to fund the event. The judges overall were pretty subjective. I wish we could have seen the scores broken down by category. Congrats Morimoto.

  • frikkin fattass judge keeps on eating lol, i bet he was there just to eat

  • The judges were utter and complete shit. These two have great talent. End of story. For those sayin Bobby Flay can't cook, have you tried a dish both from Flay and Morimoto? It's not like most of you can cook like Flay.

  • americans can't cook for shit...

get a middle-eastren iron chef cook and watch wonders

  • @ElectricQualia

yes, because middle eastern people are the only culinary artists in the world....what an ignorant comment.

  • @gowjo18 thats not what i meant, what i meant is americans generally can't cook for shit..sorry but its true

  • @ElectricQualia

no. It's not. You're an ignorant moron.

  • @ElectricQualia That's just so dumb to say. "American chefs can't cook"? It's 2010. Look around the culinary world.

  • @JaxRun im talking about americans in general , they don't even have a rich culinary tradition, and is mostly just copied from other nations

  • I want Gordon Ramsey or Marco to be a judge.

  • Yayaaaa morimoto!!! suck shit bobby flay.

  • i knew the hamburger flipper aint got nothing on traditional foods

when i saw that jackass climb up onto the cutting bored i imeditately just wanted him to fall and break his neck.

what kind of " professional " cook does that?

    shit.

  • @AndyChiuLol Do u know that later on Morimotos LOST 2 Flay in a lobster rematch?

  • @MightyBrain1000 Do you remember the judges in that episode? >.< lord have mercy...

  • didn't they just start doing iron chef america a couple of years ago? why are the graphics and music from the 80's? and that font? UGH!

  • @beckyseo because this is the original iron chef, not iron chef america. this was done back in 2000 with older video cameras

  • @ivenstorm ohhh ic. thanks dood!

  • No surprise here, Americans can't cook

  • 2nd judge still judges matches nowadays and i dont think hes trash at all

  • @saywutdogg if he(morimotto) was rascist why would he specially spend time with a young white american kid and exchange caps with him, and also embrace another white american his opponent after winning? meh why am i even replying to your type

  • Wow Bobbys dishes "had a more American taste and Morimotos tasted mre Japenese" These judges were a joke.

  • I like how Morimoto wiped his hands after shaking the hosts hand

  • I never liked the Zagats, because I feel that their survey is false, unlike the Michelin Star Reviews, which are more refined and accurate.

  • there is a rematch, watch the 21 century battle. It's the second fight.

  • Um, couldn't they afford to buy mics to place on the guest judges' lapels?

  • whos this tommy?

  • The guest judge was the only expert there!

  • I have the deepest respect for Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto

  • why?

  • @sgboy00 yeah and he's master teared up. :) so sweet.

  • I am so happy that Morimoto win. He deserves it. Flay is too arrogant.

  • whats wrong with tommy? seriously not in a mean way.

  • incompetent judges.

  • Morimoto is a genius of neo-Japanese cuisine. This remains my favorite showdown of all time.

  • wtf is up with the editing? sheesh! annoying as heck!

  • i came all the way from californeeyah

  • Had to laugh that they are having an Aussie to host a cook off betweeen an American and Japanese chef.

  • Many americans do not realize how intimidating being in a new country is to an immigrant, and especially with all of the obnoxious fans, miramoto was right in the middle of the heat. As the first iron chef to be competing in the american tour of the show, he had all of the pressure of being the first impression of Japan's culinary world, and surrounded by so many unfamiliar ppl, i feel he should be given a huge amount of credit for his talent under pressure.

  • I've been a fan of Bobby Flay since I discovered the Iron Chef America Series, but this really disapointed me a lot. It was a terribly disrespectful thing to do, especially when you are the challenger and your country is HOSTING this event.

  • My God, i've lost any confidence in humanity.

  • lol... americans are stupid. I mean the editing

  • who's got the video with him standing on the table protesting?

  • bobby flay suck and is a jerk!! not a pro and definitely not a respectable man.

  • It said in the beginning that Bobby wa 36 so this would have been 9 years ago...

  • I t think that is accualy awesome taste.

particurary It seemed very unique and has originalty that Morimoto san made.

flay's cook seems normaly and hormy.

Morimoto san was entertained the guests, That is point of Outcome.

  • hahaha

  • Bobby Flay is an asshole; the only question is: is he, Bourdain, or Ramsey the biggest asshole chef on TV?

  • i'd go with Ramsey.

  • They did mention at the start of the program that they were not use to working in front of a live audience my guess is they mostly work before the royal box and the comimintators booth. Along with the judges and such the small crowd would keep the noise to a minimum. Is that the case of Iron Chef America as well? If so whats the point of your comment, its a compitition, lighten up the cooks themselves didnt have any problem with it why should you?

  • Morimoto> Bobby Flay, :D

  • the judges r trash

  • yeah morimoto won... been looking for this in a long time. another interesting fact was that the news report in the end was done by anderson cooper who was still at ABC at that time.

  • me thinks that 4th judge from the audience is a morimoto fan

  • Whats up with this video? I can't get it to work...

  • I-Ron chef?? shit pronunciation for someone who speaks fluent english.. go back to school

  • i am so glad that he won :)

  • nicely put!

  • is there a group of flay supporters watching all this?? i see that any negative comments about him get lots of thumbs down..

  • it was so sweet that the honorary chef had tears in his eyes when Morimoto won. Love this battle.

  • What a joy to win Marimoto the iron chefs are my favorite, I love your program to continue gaining .........

  • is this the one where flay stands up on the cutting board at the end? i wanted to see that

  • It was the previos part

  • Has anyone eaten at Morimoto's restaurant in NYC? I'd love to eat there sometime.

  • when the audience is talking about morimoto's food, morimoto is like stfu what the fuck do u know

  • that john guy just said there were bones in the crab =.= no offence but ohmygosh thats wat crabs are meant to be like.

man i m too biased but seriously everybody's taste palette is different.

eg i wuld prefer oriental food over food frm mexico or india for example

on a side note did anyone ever think that those judges may have been slightly biased to any one of the chefs? just a thought
