Two places. 1) A strategy guide for Order of Ecclesia included a preview for this game with character bios, and Aeon's bio mentioned that he was trying to stop Galamoth's plan. 2) Aeon establishes that someone sent the Time Reaper back in a few plotlines (Death's and Dracula's come to mind), and one of the Time Reaper's three losing quotes is screaming his lord's name.

More than half of the remaining cast of this game is also fighting for humanity, but we take this for granted because they are the protagonists of their games. When they speak of fighting for humanity's future, it comes across as cheesy. Meanwhile Golem's simple nature, depressing interactions with other characters, and ultimate self-sacrifice occur SPECIFICALLY because he was originally a throwaway monster. And that's why he stands out here.

Actually i think Alucard's story was just cheap advertisment for the up and coming PS3 and 360 Castlevania title. Unless they change the story suddenly, it is definitely going to be centered around Alucard.

When Golem left the Time Rift, he lost his self awareness and became a mindless puppet again, he sorta died and his corpse became evil. When that happened, his body became a mindless puppet. I bet you If Golem knew his body left behind would one day hurt his beloved humans, he would wanted it to be destroyed too. I bet in Castlevania's heaven, Golem is happy, because he earned a human soul, as brief as it was, and he expressed the joy of being alive in heaven, much to Jesus's joy too.(I guess)
