Hi you have already mentioned that you were using the pod xt. Could you please explain exactly how u recorded it? I mean the signal chain and software stuff. Thanks and keep rocking.
@sandblastedXIII There's really nothing else to mention, haha. I went directly into my crappy Creative sound card using a 1/4" guitar cable and recorded in Nuendo 3. I've since updated to an Axe-FX Ultra with 2 XLR's running left and right into a Presonus Audiobox 22VSL, into my computer via USB and using Cubase 5 for mixing.
@ChrisFeener Wow... As soon as I checked my YT you replied. I thought that in the back of my mind but I didn't wanna seem like an idiot :P. Your videos are insane!
this is very epic. but it has too much of the same in it.... always the same lick, not always but you know what i mean. but still epic, respect for you man you'll go far
chris feener is a legend, an amasingly talented man, that has gave his heart to music, and when he composes a song for his grandfather, someone actually dislikes... you have no heart, even if you dont like the style, you need to get a life, its not somethine you dislike, i hope your family dies, how does it feel?
I just wanted to thank you for being able to show your thoughts and feelings for your grandfather. My grandfather is not doing very good and my family is all the way at the other side of this planet. I'm in USA, they're in Chile, that's my motherland and home. But.. thanks so much, I'm very touched by your song and thoughts. take care.
Don't know if anyones ever told you, but you look a lot like Andy James. Also excellent tribute to your grandfather. Excellent phrasing and superb playing. Rock on!!!
You are such a phenomenal guitarist! The way you make everything you play so clean is amazing!.. And you look exactly like a young version of modern James Hetfield!
Epic tune man! I still got old vids from your old website with all the old DT solo covers you did n all. See you on the road some day! P.S marie from Virginia says hi.
Beautiful song.I'm sure that Your grandfather is proud of You.You've become a great guitar player and seems to be a great person.Amazing song.Congratulations!
Wow. Beautiful technique. Very Satch with all the slides. I'm sure your grandfather would be proud to have such an awesome song created in his memory. I"m pretty well convinced you can't make a bad song, mang. keep it up.
This song is absolutely beautiful. Your grandfather would be so proud of you. I feel that musical talent doesn't just come from the mind or hands, but from the soul and this kind of material is just the tip of the iceberg of your magnanimity. Keep at it and it will unfold and you will find yourself a better person and player over time. I hope I don't sound too crazy :)
Feener this is awesome :D...... Im very proud of you.. We first played together at a provicial battle of the bands back in like 2003 in gander... I hope we can play together again someday :D
Amazing composition Chris, I am sure your grandfather would be hell of proud with how far you have taken your music. By the way when were you in Florida??? I am kind of upset I didn't get to see you playing. Keep up the great playing!
@zacdarider I don't, unfortunately :( In fact, I don't even own an MP3 copy of it anymore, due to a computer crash. I'm going to re-do it for my upcoming solo release - and with any luck, hopefully improve on it!

@ChrisFeener Ahh well they are silly indeed and need to appreciate that not everything has to be metal music or just need to stop been careless. However im sure you know its very good with the views and the 204 likes you have :L Hope you liked my through my eyes cover btw :D
@SaiyanKirby Yeah! It's weird, I held my pick between the 2 joints of my middle finger for the entire tune. I was gonna just lay it down, but I find it almost... more comfortable. I guess partially due to the fact that I'm usually switching back and forth between fingers/pick so it feels a little more natural to have it there, ready to go.
Best regards from Finland mate. Even though I come from a musical family, the closest relative I have as an influence is propably my sister. Beautiful song. You should've had a chance to play this in your granpa's funeral..
