  • I remember taking this course when John Deacon was teaching it (R.I.P.) and Simon was assisting. Fantastic course, you learn a lot, and since you're using their bikes you can really push things harder and only worry about damaging yourself, not the bike. Simon was a crackin good instructor and I'm betting he's only gotten better.

I have no regrets whatsoever about taking the course. Hell, I'll probably take it again when I get myself another R-GS.

  • profi..

  • It's nearly £500 without acomodation and getting there.

    Still very very good though.

  • 500 jesus was bad when it was 400 a couple a years ago

    glad you enjoyed the course

  • thanks

  • If there's a better teacher and nicer bloke than Simon I'd be really surprised.

Easily worth the VAST amount of money it costs to go on the course.

  • your not wrong there...

  • how VAST?

  • i did this course...it was fantastic...definately made me a better rider on road and off

  • It is a good course, and it would appear that BMW are taking it from strength to strength. Also it's really funny seeing these monster sized bikes off road just digging their way through the mud and gunk.

  • Looks like a great course. who was the training company, BMW?

  • see the "World of BMW" site.

  • Thanks, I am going to. I live in Dubai and have just bought a KTM since they could not delivery a beamer. After three days, I took it through some mountains and deep sand and dropped it several times.

Love the bike to bits since before that I owned a Harley and got fed up with it.

  • excellent video; just what i was looking for.

  • I've also posted another but that time they did'nt allow me to leave the upper training area. It's very old now as models have changed but what they teach is much the same.

  • Instructor Simon Pavey has finished Paris-Dakar!

  • This video is jolly old as you may have seem on the plates being 52,02 and 03's oh and it's also based at the castle not at the industrial unit and Nick Plum aka Plummy from Touratech don't teach there no more. There's very little actual produced footage from the off road school cos BMW won't allow it. Hope that clears it up! Thanks for watching

  • If the weather is good or bad no matter it's a brilliant couple a days out. Enjoy it be careful on the way to the riding area the local police hang around to try and catch anyone speeding cos they'll know where your going.

  • Excellent, I'm going with a mate weekend 18th August. Looking forward to it.
