Just in case no one knows, the reason there is copper wire around the fleas is because that's how he catch them. fleas are attracted to copper for some reason, in Mexico we used to put copper wire around the dogs neck to get all the fleas in the neck area and then wash it of, lol but now people put them like collars and wonder why their dogs are full of fleas lol, its to attract them not repeal them. lol
