  • The instrumental music for the Ernest and Julio Gallo is from Vangelis.

  • The Coca Cola Diet Coke at the Oscars Ad and the Diet Pepsi Ads were absolutely brilliant!

  • Is that Orson Welles in the second commercial?

  • Love that song!!

  • Awesome!! Thank you for posting.... Life was so much more simple back then..

  • Hahaha oh my god, friggin' kool-aid man xD

  • i think the wine ad from vangelious

  • Back then people believed soda pop was magic.

  • David Naughton, before his werewolf in London nights. :)

  • In my opinion soda tastes best in a bottle but for some reason I prefer beer in a can.

  • 4:50 Ted Bundy?! j/k

  • Diet coke Dieeeet Coke -ein !

  • ashton kutcher in the first mountain dew commerical?

  • The black guy is in the 1982 movie Annie :)

  • @ZbergFan the actor name is geoffrey holder

  • Now I get the 7Up reference from Wil Wheaton's review of Code of Honor: "it's crisp and clean and no vaccine".

  • The cheerleader in the tab commercial is Lori Loughlin of Full House Aunt Becky fame.

  • 2 Liter plastic bottles LOL

  • I don't remember Aspen soda so it might not have been sold where I was. It wouldn't have mattered anyway because it sounds disgusting and I would never have wanted to try it.

  • Guess HFCS replaced cane sugar because it was cheaper so beverage companies could make a profit

  • Things were so good back in the 1970's and 1980's unlike today

  • Tab soda, one calorie. Woah.

Awesome. I totally need that soda.

    Where to buy? (:

  • i love the magic c0w

  • TAB was the original Diet Coke.

    RIP Robert Palmer.

  • WOW the 7-up black dude lol.I loved that guy when I was a kid.

  • The dr.pepper commercial.Isnt that the dude from AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN LONDON?

  • Never heard of Aspen in Iowa. I would have got my ass kicked if I drank one around my friends. Mountain Dew and redneck parties for us. Somehow "Aspen" and pond parties with hot women in Daisydukes and bikinis dont seem to go together. Bring back old MD label in glass bottles. Best hangover cure in world.

  • Soda pop went to shit with the introduction of plastic bottles & HFCS.

  • @papabugs71 AMEN!!!

  • SODA POP MADE WITH SUGAR !!!!!!!

  • The short-lived 7-Up Gold had caffeine in it. So much for the "never had it, never will" claim.

  • I remember all of these commercials. I feel so old. I found myself even singing with them.

  • Coke is it--looks like they ripped off :"Fame" and the 1982 copyright confirms it.

  • Geoffrey Holder popped up in a lot of places in the 70's and 80's. Movies like "Live and Let Die" and "Swashbuckler" among others; he was a choreographer too. Remember the tropical "Cosby Show" opening?

I don't think I ever tried Aspen, but seeing how I like to blend apple juice and Sprite, I might have enjoyed it even more. Wink was another one that didn't last; foggy and tangy doesn't sell, I guess. You're a Pepper? Big#%& deal!!

  • Its amazing how something as simple as tv commercials can bring back memories. Most of these are 80-86. Lots of High school flashbacks!

  • I've just noticed ! there aren't any wine commercials on tv anymore!

  • Aspen was delicious, it came out around 1979-1980! Damn that was a good soda, too bad they don't make drinks like that anymore! :(

  • The music in the first ad, from Gallo Wines, is by Vangelis.

  • ASPEN!!!! I loved that soda! Wish they still made it!

  • @pattonsgod1 -I was just about to ask, Aspen didn't last very long, did it? I don't remember it

  • Oh my gosh, nostolgia time!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Aspen was one of my FAVORITE sodas!

  • yea,i think coke lasted as long as aspen did!

  • my mom loved that dr pepper one so much

  • Thank you so much, MMacG1167 for this wonderful group of commercials. As a collector of classic TV commercials, I enjoyed this a whole lot, especially the ones I hadn't seen in many years. I love the "Mountain Dew" one. I think the last time I saw it was 30 years ago. I have the Tab one, and it's always been a favorite. That "Coke is it" ad is truly unforgettable, with the catchy melody and great singing. Remember good singing? It's a shame we have to go back a couple of decades to find it.

  • I loved that aspen soda! loved these commercials!! wow, brings back memories

  • HA! never had it, never will!

  • Of all the Mountain Dew commercials, this one was my top favorite. Makes me wish I could have gone to a location like that, and jumped into cool water from a high spot. Also loved the theme music. Ah the late 70's ruled!!

  • The Mountain Dew one was my favorite at that time!!!

  • Back in the 70's TAB soda was like the soda for all the mom's in my neighborhood! I remember everyone's mom would get together once a week for "gossip time" and drink TAB soda!!! LOL! Those were the days!!

  • I believe the Geoffery Holder 7-Up commercial dates from 1982 or '83.

  • The Robert Palmer one though is LATE '80s (probably 1988 as that when that song came out).

  • Great!

  • the diet pepsi one used to be shown on tv land

  • 0:29 & : 0:50 Looks like a christmas song called Silent Night, Holy Night

  • I noticed that, way back in the day, that it sounded Christmassy....at the beginning it sounds like The First Noel

  • Wow, I haven't seen these in years! Thanks loads for posting!

  • the diet pepsi one was rather suggestive
