  • Beautiful t/a I had a 79 but sold it with 10k miles the car was my dads so a one owner car. Wish I still had it. Fuck! I wish I can get one now!

  • happy 4th lol

  • Damn!!!!! Love your car!

    Beth

  • And BTW nothing wrong with Brewster Green. It's just different from the more common red and white ones. You can't post anything on the internet anymore without the judgemental cocksuckers coming out of the woodwork. Every single one of you pricks that don't like the color would give your left nut to have that thing in your garage. LOL That's a numbers matching motor and it's got BALLS.

  • I was driving that car, and the uploader of the video will attest to it. (Hey Tim!) I had a twin to this car years ago, but it was a 455 standard. It would lay rubber in fine fashion also- the torque of the 455 in just about any year is just ungodly. Even the non-SD would have the cops after your ass in about 2 seconds.

Trust me, I was BABYING that car. If it was mine, there would have been CLOUDS of smoke....LOL

  • @IfByWhiskey The Brewster Green is great man. When I visited a buddy of mine in the US I was privileged enuff to have a go in his (red) 78 t/a. Melted a patch bout 200ft long without even trying dude, it was all the work of a great ride. Had plenty of fun in cars over the years but rammin that gas pedal to the floor in the t/a and being pushed back in the seat with em spinnin was undoubtedly the finest.

  • wtf is fucking bad

  • this is a imped out car i cant wait till i get my first car laterz southside pride

  • thats it?,,, come on let it rip,, my 454 can get 300ft of rubber no problem..... not bad though,,i'm just being a aprick

  • @ 0:47 he just beat a deer running across the road. very lucky.

  • Hell yeah! The SD455 is a torque monster! Back in the '80's, I had a friend that owned one and he took me for a white-knuckle ride I've never forgotten. My '70 Roadrunner with a 383 Magnum was a joke compared to his '73 SD455 car. Your car is one of the nicest I've seen. I am curious, did you buy it as shown or restore it?

  • Can't even comment on someone's nice car or nice vid without random people you weren't even talking to comin outta the wood work to start a fight. Pretty sad. It's supposed to be about celebrating this guy's bitchin big block Trans Am, not whether failing to appreciate the color of it somehow makes me gay or not. I wonder if Pink T/A Challengers make that guy feel insecure too...

  • nice car ive got the 1972 455 H.O trans am and saving for a SD or a GTO Judge

    but nice car

  • this is said to be the most powerful muscle car of the 70s it came out when all other manufacturers were either doing away with or powering down muscle cars pontiac lied and said it only had 290hp to keep insurance down lol

  • what the fuck is up with the camera man and all those clicking noises. but other than that nice car.

  • One of three, right? I think one even has a column shift, for super weirdo rarity. I think I photographed this car at a show in Florida once. Very, very nice. And I agree - Brewster green is a gorgeous color on this car.

  • give me that car... i dont care.. i can drive it even if its pink

  • Look up 1976 Firebird for a Formula back from the Dead...Nice SD and color is pure PONTIAC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Takes a special kinda person to love a Brewster Green car. What was up with GM and the funky green Pontiacs back in the day? Verdoro green from the GTO's is friggin awful. Well I guess it's not too bad but they always paired it with that pukey green interior. Just leave it black GM, Jesus. Carousel/Mayan/Bucaneer red are the best Pontiac colors ever oh and that gnarly yellow from the 70 Humbler GTO.

  • only fags complain about color

  • Do you see fags everywhere? Like in the mirror perhaps? Don't give me that bullshit, everyone has a color preference, especially when it comes to old school muscle. If you wanna get technical Trans Am's aren't even normally classifiable as "muscle cars", they're pony cars. A muscle car is usually an intermediate sized vehicle like a Chevelle or GTO. This one only qualifies because it's the Super Duty packaging. Get your shit straight before you criticize me again Mr. Muscle Car expert.

  • hey buddy,, take a 73 455 SD for a rip and then when ya get out,,,and if you can say that its still not a muscle car and only a pony,,,your fucked and need to dbbl up on your meds...

  • Brewster Green is an awesome color! I like the Carousel Red as well, but the Tyrol Blue on the 67 GTOs is by far the best color Pontiac put out.

By the way the yellow color u refered to is called

    "Orbit Orange"

  • i personaly like the 79-81 trans ams are the best looking (not powerwize)but the early versions are awsome too.

  • In my opinion the SD 455 of 1973 with the brewster green are the best looking Trans ams ever

  • this car is my adream trans am 4 ever

  • very nice car man, i've got a '73 formula sittin in my yard ready to be restored

  • dude, you could swap that 350turbo and throw in a 700r4, withe the stock 455sd you'll spin 1st and secound. you may not wont to change it from factory but if you do, the car sounds GREAT with some flowmaster 40's. but beautiful car. i'd love to hear some history on it.

  • Bad ass T/A man.. If you ever want to sell it I have a buyer for it...

  • Thanks for your comment. No plans to sell in the near future, but will let you know if I do.

  • nice bird!!!!!!

  • Driver comment- that thing can ANNIALATE those tires, I was going EZ on it, LOL.

  • what was that that crossed the street at 46 secs?

  • Keen eye-it was a deer that crossed behind the car.

And I'm certainly glad my twin brother (who was driving) didn't hit it.

  • btw what kind of suspension are you running? (coil spring & leaf spring rates and shocks) thnx

  • The suspension is basically stock. I'm not sure of the exact specs-I'll have to check the Pontiac Historic Service paperwork.

The shocks are Bilstein. The tires are size

P225-70R15 on the factory 15X7 Honeycombs. That size tire fills out the wheel well better than 60 series (with the 60 series there is a noticeable gap between the top of the tire and wheel well).

  • @bgsd73 235 60 on the rear look great i had those on my 1978 t/a 6.0

  • Very nice.

  • LOL, I was driving that SD.

  • awesome
