  • Thanks so much learnt a lot!!!!!!!!

  • nice series! i will take your tips into working on this video ideal i have :)

  • a collar!

  • Another quick question, how do you add a banner across the top of your channel?

  • @inoraa That's a YouTube partner only feature.

  • @RandomCastaa Hey thanks for the comment, just one other question..

For some reason when I click on Modules and then check box Moderator and save it. All i see it an empty space with nothing in it.. ?

  • @inoraa dunno, works for me.

  • do you think the kodak zi6 is good enof

  • @thevide0kings It's ok. The newer Zi8 is marginally better and you attach an external microphone to it for better sound quality.

  • @RandomCastaa i bought a zi6 with the new firm ware it is actually really good quilty for what i do and has worked perfectly

  • pay by the byte holy shiat that's expensive

  • no one loves my youtube channel, regardless of how many of these things i do.

    :_(

  • thanx for the help! possibly the most helpful video tip series on youtube

  • your videos are awesome dude i just started out on youtube trying to get my channel off the ground just uploaded a small pointless video while im working on a good one onli got 6 subs and this helps

    im subscribing and rating 5

  • Do you know of any good MOV converters or any video editors that support mov files? I've tried a couple and they don't work. All of my video files are in mov (Quicktime) format, but I really want to be able to use something like Windows Movie Maker to edit them (movie maker doesn't support mov files). Thanks!

  • (uploader) @ainabarad I have the same problem with my video camera. You need to convert the quicktime video to xvid or wmv video format, then edit the converted video in Movie Maker. There are free tools that will do this but it's easier to buy a video converter application.

  • @Castaa Your reply inspired me to look AGAIN for a converter that works and I found me one! Thanks to all your advice my videos just might improve by leaps and bounds as I have begun adding titles!!!!!! Thank you so much!!! You are definitely made of awesome, man, and I'm so subbing to you!!! :)

  • pretty weird you do this series but don't have many subscribers?

  • Youtube 1080p and 720p looks the same to me.

  • Hey John, so hopefully the series isn't over; I enjoyed watching them. The later videos started to tend towards more technical aspects of video production. And maybe that's where the questions are going to, but I rather enjoyed when you talked about the other things about youtube like ethics and being a citizen etc.

Anyways, so if you ever consider making a 10th video, a possible idea to talk about is annotations. Personally Im curious as to what you think about their effect on peoples videos

  • thanks for the response!! great video it really helps the new guys like me!! new vid up by the way

  • Hey, just wanna say good job and your lighting is GREAT! You can very clearly see you!

  • @ShannonRocks369 hey, thanks

  • YAAAAAy

  • Castaa, thank you for making these videos! When I first formed a YouTube account, this video series was one of the first things I watched. THIS IS A GREAT / USEFUL SERIES. I really appreciate you doing the work to put these up. Thank you!

  • @Bmayo27 Thanks Brett. It's appreciated.

  • I'm sorry, say "Youtube subscribers" again? :L

  • @Tysonstown Oh, do you really want to get into pronunciation, Sarah? :P

  • For some reason the videos I take with my camera are saved as quicktime videos and apparently WMM doesn't seem to like them. What should I do?

  • Ya, WMM doesn't accept .mov files. You can try renaming them to .avi files and then try to import them in Movie Maker. Beyond that, you can covert them to WMV or Xivd video format with the free MediaCoder. Those formats tend to play nice with WMM.

  • Nice vid. Is there a version of WMM for Vista that exports HD videos yet? =)

  • great tips! maybe i'll try to fiddle around with some stuff next time i make a crappy video =)

    thanks!

  • Haha, I want to see more crappy videos coming from you. I'm your fan.

  • Finally a new video. Excellent work! 5/5

  • Thanks Castaa I bought a Flip Ultra HD and a Kodak Zi8, but I am having a hard time getting them to upload into an older version of adobe premeire pro...I think I am going to invest in vegas....what do you think??

  • @HamEntertainment You might just have to transcode the video to a different format, like WMV or Xivd before importing it into your editor. Try MediaCoder, it's free.

  • @Castaa Hey Castaa thanks for the advice...only problem I already use any video converter, but it seems to cut into the quality of the video...I will look up into you blog and check out MediaCoder..thank you

  • I should probably focus more on using my flip than my Imac's web cam. I'm going to go check out the creator's corner now. :] Thank you for the tips!!!!

  • Generally speaking, I think the higher the quality of video (resolution, color, lighting) the more people will watch. So ya, I would agree. Thanks.

  • No thank you! =D
