This is a great theme & almost a musical farewell to other pieces of music from throughout the series. You've got the Echoes Menu Theme which comes in at 0:17, the chorus that comes in at 0:36 seems to reflect the general tone of most boss battles, the whistling at 0:52 enforces the eeriness of the series, the 'nattering' at 1:05 seems very familiar to the Adult Chykka Battle from Echoes, occasional metal hits from Phazon Mines & the 'distorted hit' from Mini-Boss battles. Best boss theme!

Gandrayda may have been laid back (by being playful and, in one instance, unreasonably lazy), but she was never bitchy. Her calling Samus "Sammy was out of friendlieness, not condescension. You're tacking on personality traits.

Rundas, on the other hand, thinks he's better than everyone else. His dialogue (including one where Admiral Dane calls him out) and scan data support this.

I find it disturbing how Gandrayda gets called a bitch for being laid back and slightly cocky, while Rundas is seen as a total badass despite seeming to have a giant stick up his ass and being incredibly cocky. Don't get me wrong, I like Rundas, but Gandrayda just came off as the more likable character.

Plus, y'know, her powers are cooler and would have way more uses than Rundas'.

@AGKIH1 Metroid = First Person Adventure game with shooter elements. FPS'es like CoD and Halo focus more on multiplayer and gun gameplay then Metroid does. Metroid is more about exploring a new planet , solving puzzles and getting armor power ups to advance to the next planet. CoD and Halo focus more on just shooting stuff and blowing shit up. By accessible I mean how easy it is to pick up playing. One of CoD's major selling points is that anyone can pick it up and get a few kills.

@AGKIH1 With regards to your solution of adding multiplayer to the Metroid games, I doubt it would make any difference. Metroid is, unlike CoD and Halo, not a very fast-paced game. Because CoD is so fast-paced, it's easy to pick up and play with friends. In Metroid it wouldn't be so easy to get kills because Samus has a huge health bar, which would also slow the game down a LOT.

@oSaturos samus may have a big health bar, but so does master chief, and yet people still find halo fast-paced, and even if her health bar is so high, is there any reason they can't shorten it? as if they don't do that in cod in multiplayer, even compared to veteran difficulty you still have less health in multiplayer. muliplayer and singlepayer are two different aspects to a game, neither has to have any link with the other, so basing multiplayer on how singleplayer is played is pointless.

@AGKIH1 Your comparison is a bit off since MC does have a high health bar, but theres lots off power weapons that make the gameplay alot faster (plus its still not as large as samus'). Metroid doesnt have power weapons other than suit upgrades which are perminent, and letting everyone start with homing ice missiles would be boring.

I think they could easily make a MP mode, but they'd have to add a lot of stuff to make it work, which would make it a totally different game.

@oSaturos did you even read the last half of what I just said? basing multiplayer on singleplayer is a very stupid thing to do. metroid could act in the same way as halo does in that you would 'pick up' upgrades, weapons, etc. ingame rather than starting off with them.and how is the thermal lazer NOT a power weapon? how do you know how strong samus' guns are since all you can base them off is how much damage they do to enemies, who may have even bigger health bars for all we know?

The Metroid series is far older, plus the Prime series took much of it's inspiration from Super Metroid (one of the most critically acclaimed games of all time I might add). If anything, one might argue that Halo borrowed ideas from Metroid games. However, the truth is that inspiration may have been lent both ways, but each series is decent in their respective genres on their own merits.

Probably one of the things I most look forward to in Metroid games is the incredible boss fights. Even if they're not that difficult, they still convey the perfect atmosphere and always keep your adrenaline flowing, trying to anticipate what the boss is going to throw at you next. Plus, they always have kick ass music :)
