Oh well it would be an easy mod. Self righting is when, if flipped, the balance of the boat makes it flip back to the up right position. Hard to describe, but easy enough to understand. search a video fo self righting, its pretty cool.
Hey Madmax! got a question for you. im going to be modding one of these soon and wanted to know if the set-up i got would work good. i got a mamba 8000kv motor and a mamba 25 ESC. taking it out of my rc18. plan on using a 3s lipo. was getting my rc18 to 60+ mph. what type of performance would i see in this thing. also going to run it watercooled.
What dose it mean for the prop to "unprime"?. yeah i have no problem running it on 7.2v ni-mh battery. or a 9.6v. also what dose it take to do the mod. could you direct me to a site, or further explain? i know you got to cut the top off. then gut the electronics. but putting in my new electronics will my motor mount right up, and will the motor shaft (2mm) bolt right in?
The drive-jet have is limit, think is 4200kv max on this drive whit 11.1v lipo, after that the motor will suck air and unprime your jet-drive, have to stop the motor, let the water come back in the drive and start again .
@M4A1DUDE OOOOOOH, ok. so thats why on some videos online if they gun it to fast the boat just rev's up and they have to stop for a minute to get water back into the intake.

To much RPM on the motor, the prop will unprime, 4000kv top or run it on 7,4 v lipo.
