  • LOL tomzablee pull your head out of your arse means that you need to stop bumlicking yourself and try and find some humility.

  • im english and office us is better

  • @postmasterw00t

Lmfao. You obviously have no sense of humour you idiot.

  • @tomzablee

I wrote that 4 months ago...since then i have re-watched the office uk and my final choice is that the uk version is actually better but only by a small margin, the office us is still great. Maybe you should pull your head out of your arse and get laid mate instead of arguing with a 4 month old comment.

  • @postmasterw00t

pull my head out of my arse? LOL, that makes no sense, you obviously don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

As I said, you are an idiot.

The fact that you're bringing un-educated accusations about sex into this just prove that you are too stupid to come up with a well constructed argument. You aren't worth my time you ignorant fucking moron.

Now go to bed, school in the morning.

    Blocked.

  • It would say "ROY".

  • ask jerry sadowitz about how original he is...

  • @sparkyinbath He's awesome at stand up.

  • da realisT!!!!!! really though.

  • -14 good job

  • wow guess whos got 14 thumb downs?

  • your an idiot

  • @julesf03 *you're ;)

  • @mohican321 Errr, it sounds better than american tbh...

  • i just find american humour a little to rediculous to be honest. the writers in a lot of the shows are still relying on male vs female jokes. that shit was dated in the early 90's.

    just my opinion tho

  • *it has ricky gervais

  • you guys have to see GHOST TOWN.....BEST FUKIN MOVIE OUT THERE!!!!

  • Wait till Invetion of lying

    Oh...AND cemetry junction

  • thats funny

  • I'm English, think about this, Ricky Gervais' favourite movie is Spinal Tap, lead actor Christopher Guest who is American and plays an 'English rockstar' to absolute perfection, its very funny and somewhat bridges the gap between American and British humour, especially as its observed from an Americans point of view, so take that into consideration, people are funny 'not countries or flags'.

  • His dad was English, and he spent quite a bit of time in the UK. Still though he was brilliant.

  • last joke killed me. damn funny

  • oh man I saw this on HBO lastnight and I laughed my ass off.

  • This isn't the HBO special!

  • yep it is....but you may be mistaken because its the 'Fame' set with 'Politics' jokes

  • Funny but this is an old clip

  • For fans of intelligent comedy , i recommend Kerou . hes got a website self titled, its fantastic, it's the highpoint of comedy today.

  • Ricky Gervais is one of my favorite comedians and a very clever comedian at that. It is very odd to hear that anyone would not consider him absolutely hilarious... but he is a SMART writing comedian ,so just like Larry David and how people don't get some of his comedy, which is f---ing brilliant too, it's usually people who would probably be more entertained by visual comedy and not by comedy that actually takes the using of the brain. So BRAVO Ricky, I enjoy everything you do!!!!!

  • Every time I watch a video with a British comedian in it, there is an argument in the comments section about how British humour is different to American humour. And people actually get angry about it! It's like, get the fuck over it, he's a British comedian - he's more than likely going to appeal more to British viewers, but many Americans will also find him funny o_o

Okay, now my anger is over, I love this video :D Ricky Gervais ftw

  • WOW Yes people are so fucking senseless to see he is fucking hilarious so Busy hating On him he in my top 10

  • it embarasses me the ay so many Brits are like 'ya, comedy has to b dumbed down for Americans and we're so intllectually superior' its utter bullshit. people go on about how arrogant they are but when british people make comments like that they look like pretentious snobs. Of course, he has to change his acts for different audiences because otherwise they won't get the cultural references etc, but its not necessarily 'dumbed down (yar)' its just changed to suit their style. good on him i say

  • Have American's heard of using uppercase letters too? Or even just some basic grammar?

  • DON'T be a nob, who really cares whether don't take care in punctuation on youtube

  • I care everywhere, why not? Why not use language as it is meant to be-making it more readable for one.

    Stay a philistine anyhow.

  • You've used a possessive apostrophe on "American's", which is just a plural. Don't criticise other people's English when you can't write for shit, dumbass.

  • You're right, fair comment. You are a prick though...

  • True. True.

  • Rick Gervais said in an interview he never has to change his acts for Amercian audiences...apart from removing cultural references they won't have heard of. There isn't that much of a big difference between English and U.S humour. :)

  • oh goodness, yes there is.

Yanks find British stuff funny, but trust, Brits don't find yank humour funny. American office is very badly received in UK and so on.

  • Ummm...well i'm English and i have to say, i do like the U.S office, but still prefer the original!

  • yea... i got a little upety...

  • Not true, family guy, friends, simpsons etc...all hugely popular here in england.

  • please don't attempt to speak for all Brits; i find most Yank humour more consistently funny than Brit stuff. The great stand-ups were invariably American. Most British TV humour is crappy, the odd one or two are great.

  • The Office (U.S.) is hardly representative of American humor..

  • It really isn't, lol. I'm American and I can't stand the US version. I prefer the originals of a lot of things, like certain books over movie versions.

If you want to mention any American humor, stay away from anything mainly slapstick. King of Queens is probably a good example. Personally I loved Frasier and [some] Seinfeld also.

  • yeah, seeing as two englishmen wrote it

  • Yeah...thanks for reiterating my point...

  • lol, just making it clear

  • @bringmemybow bad generalization. and british people always claim to be the smart ones.

  • @amd2q9 You just generalised yourself so come on ...

  • Total Legend

  • ur a total wanker

  • imperialist?

  • yeah what the fuck? imperialism is irrelevant

but yeah, dumbed down for sure

  • /agree, ricky gervais stand up for americans really isnt as good.

  • the jokes are exactly the same, how is it dumbed down?

  • great. bit familiar though. weren't these jokes part of either his "politics" or "animals" stand-up?

  • Yes this bit was in Politics. The HBO special is made up of material he's done in Britain.

  • A true comedy genius.

  • No.

  • yes?

  • No!

  • try listening to this (as apposed to just hearing)again and you may see how he is really making comedic gems out of people,s ingrained belief systems. One of his great talents is offering another way of looking at all those interpretations of things that you and i take for granted as being real. Not exactly the forte of an American comedian.Bill Hicks and George Carlin excepted.

  • you don't know what the hell you're talking about.

  • Maybe you dont know what i,m talkin about, but there is no way that you know that i dont know what i,m talking about.

  • I'm pretty certain I know that she doesn't know that you don't know what you're talking about but I know that you know that she doesn't know you don't know what you're talking about too.

  • v. good comment mate

  • you do know this is ricky gervais, right?

  • wat a stupid comment

  • I completely agree with you mate. Though I thought Extras (particularly series 2) was pretty poor.

  • i completely agree with you.
