As an idea for a future vid, record each game when you're playing in a tournament, wait till you've got a really close and intense match and then go through it highlighting the action as it happens in real time, but slowing down for effect where necessary.

I would like to make a personal thank you to the uploader. Browsing my old favourites I came across this video again and remembered it was here that I discovered the GOD-LIKE AWESOMENESS of INFECTED MUSHROOM. Now one of my favourite groups of all time, Heavyweight is one of my favourite songs.

Also helps that the vid is fantastic and very well put together. Very nice camera work and choice of kills.

wow talk about ugly maps/characters/weapons....UT3 sucks shit. They totally ruined a nice map-Deck 16 and turned it into a sewer-fucking morons.

UT2004 and UT99 are so much better...they have gotten so far away from what UT was all about-no doubt some developer with terrible taste was behind it.

I'm not criticizing the video, just the game...I'm saddened as a hardcore UT fan how they've ruined the franchise in UT3.

@oloompop note I never once complained about the graphics, obviously they upped the quality with the UT3 engine. My gripe is purely on aesthetics...I hate the nasty looking environments (though I've seen other maps that aren't puke-worthy).

I guess we differ on Deck16...I'm really sick of maps that look like sewers...the original UT had great characters, creative, clean, appealing maps....I think it got a bit worse in ut2k4 but overall it was still a decent release but UT3 is fugz.

You can get a mod for PC allowing up to 4 players! But you'll need some pc adaptable controllers. I haven't used it yet so dunno if it works.

Just think about it - with these guys' skill of level the frag movie would have looked much more impressive if it was ut2k4 gameplay.

However, compared to the point-and-shoot style of quake this isn't something much.

@XENOpz UT2k4 was not, for a change. Think about TDM or CTF modes, or even TAM. You always have to keep your tactics, control the pickups, monitor your opponents tactics and not to mention that using the classic WASD and Spacebar controls you are a dead man.

That was the beauty of 2k4.. jumping off the walls, people charging into each other. Making a jump, dash off the wall and another jump and you are 3 meters over your opponents head, then you nail him down with a tight spiral of 3 rockets...

Yes, sort of. The thing is that UT3 is pronounced "you tee three". Going by spelling, the first letter is a vowel. But that's only spelling. By pronunciation, the first letter is a "y", which is a consonant. No need for the n in that case. It's nitpicky though, doesn't really matter at all.

Well... there's not a lot of people online, but there's always some full servers. Basically, vehicle capture the flag and warfare are being played. Some deathmatch too.

I played UT99, UT2003, UT2004 and UT3 and I honestly don't despise it. Its not perfect, but its ok.
