The tuning is DADDAD. I built the guitar and strung it up.

I believe the tuning is actually Open G which is 6D 5G 4D 3G 2B 1D. It also might be tuned in Open C which requires heavier stings. That is tuned 6C 5G 4C 3E 2G 1C. But don't try to tune regular stings in Open C, it twangs to much.

It isn't.

Listen carefully and you'll notice when he plays for example the 1st and 3rd string they don't harmonise as the same note, they're tuned differently.

Hence therefore it is DGDGBD.
