It's a requirement when you work at Maccas to ask if a customer wants a meal or just the burger. Most customers come in and ask for a "whopper" but they could mean either a "whopper meal" or a "whopper burger" so the cashier has to make sure. That is not upselling, that is called making sure. Upselling is when they offer the meal despite knowing that the customer only ordered the burger.

Most customers come in and ask for a "whopper" but they could mean either a "whopper meal" or a "whopper burger" so the cashier has to make sure. That is not upselling, that is called making sure. Upselling is when they offer the meal despite knowing that the customer only ordered the burger.
