  • I feel bad fer being under age and on this..

  • Did you know that in the U.S., January 1st is National Bloody Mary Day? I celebrated by making my own vegan version of a Bloody!

  • @MCMCsimulation Well sleeping too I would hope! haha Cheers!

  • I've never had one of these but I love V8 juice and I'm told I would probably like it. If I'm out somewhere I might have to order one of these.

  • Who is having a Bloody Mary on a Sunday?

  • ok a bloody mary base thats like saying im putting no effort in drink making and gonna cheat u need to mix each drink together with those things individualy other wise it just sinks to bottom u suck!

  • i like to add garlic salt too! its good!

  • clamato juice is the best thing to use... try it out ppl :) follwo me on twitter krissygrainger

  • Yummy!!!

  • now that guy is fast

  • Bloody Mary is always welcome to our glass:)

  • He sounded like a bloody asshole!

  • I know everyone has their own formula, but man does his recipe just sound good. Cheers!

  • This sounds good. LOVE horseradish in this drink. The BEST I've EVER had was in Castro San Fran. It was HUGE drink and a meal in itself. It had bacon stirps, skewered Grilled Shrimp, pikled Aparagus and Green beans in it. 13.00 back in mid 90's. WELL worth it though. OMG...Talk about YUM! I'd LOVE to know thier recipe.

  • yeah I don't really like Tomato juice .... (sorry)

  • vodka ... mr and mrs T's mix ... Worcestershire sauce ... Tabasco .... celery salt ...

  • @cakedude063 mr & mrs Ts huh?

  • I like use V8 instead of regular tomato juice, since it has a much better flavor, imo. I also add old bay (yeah... I'm from Maryland. We snort lines of that stuff back home, lol). Never used A1 though; the juice is already thick enough. But I may have to try this your way.

  • @AlannaPhoenix HI! YEAH OLD BAY! Love the stuff and a GREAT addition to this recipe! I'm not doing any lines of it though... heh..heh. Also consider putting an Old Bay & Salt rim on your glass!... Cheers!

  • @thedrinkchef We did that (without the salt) at the restaurant I worked at.

  • @AlannaPhoenix Try using Big Tom's Spiced Tomato juice if you can get it in the States, it's pretty tasty and a little hot. Also, I find using Absolut Pepper Vodka a nice addition instead of regular vodka.

  • Hey Blake, what is the recipe for the base that you use (or is it to taste). I'd like to get a copy of it and tweek it to my tastes?

  • @MHCommon

Thanks for the comment! I'll post that 'bloody mary base recipe video tomorrow! Gotta edit it first... Stay tuned...

  • @thedrinkchef - Thanks for posting that base recipe. Sounds amazing. I hope to be trying it soon.

    - Paul

  • @MHCommon Hey Paul... Thanks for your interest. Feel free to adapt it to your tastes, and be sure to share my stuff with your friends! Cheers!

  • sure... I can tell you... :-)

The vodka is a liquid and is being poured through a pour spout. The Bloody mary base is MUCH thicker in consistancy so therefore it is applied through a squirter bottle with the nozzle cut pretty wide. Hope this is clear. Thanks for the props! I think it's a pretty good recipe too. regards, the drink chef

  • can somebody tell me why the pour f the 1.5 ounces of vodka seemed so much more substantial than the pour of the one ounce bloodymary base? They're pretty close measurements but he counted for seemingly much longer when pouring the vodka.

And i just tried this recipe, it is great with some olive! Delicious

  • Looks really good, spicy is the way to go!!!

  • mazke me one

  • This is my favorite drink in the whole world. It's the only drink that's practically a meal.

  • You're right! It is almost a meal. I love tomato juice. Drink it almost every day. When I don't have time to make fresh juice, I start my day with a six ounce can of tomato juice. or a can of V-9... bfd

  • You have a great recipe, I love the bloody mary "base" idea. It's great that you have 3 condiments (olive, full stalk celery, and lime) too, it's critical. The best bloody mary I had had all those three condiments, but also a huge tiger cocktail shrimp seasoned with some Old Bay seasoning.

  • PERFECT! I Love IT!

Old Bay... good thinking! El Tigre!

  • yeah, that sounds good, maybe mix some old bay in the salt that you rim the glass in.

  • I hadn't thought about mixing the old bay in with the salt on the rim of the glass, that's a great idea.

  • @thedrinkchef i'll bet ! i , however , start my day off with a joint and a six pack (liquid bread) !

  • 3 mississippi

    you fag lol

  • THIS IS MY FAV DRINK

  • Thanks! I appreciate your comment!

  • The Bloody Mary is my fav drink next to white russian.

  • pretty close to my recipe, only I top mine off with a huge pickle spear, 3 slices of bacon, a glazed donut, a chicken drumstick, and half of a pastrami sandwich.

  • lol nice..

  • @mopperone ha, ha....well done.

  • you left out the drizzle of maple syrup and the caviar

  • @mopperone I bet that's a hell of a sight.

  • this.... plus celery salt, 3 more olives (garlic stuffed), a pickle, and a shot of bourbon. is basically how i make mine.

  • oh yeah i do what you do plus 2 more olives a shot of whiskey some apple juice and a bologna sandwich

  • how much of each stuff are you sopost to put in the base

  • Looks good, but I would have added a little more of your base, as well as a good squeeze of lemon. I love my Bloody Mary spicy, so I bet I would like yours. Cheers.

  • the camara is to far,do the video all over again

  • a great addition is to put three shrimp on a toothpick and stick it onto the celery stalk and also add some old bay seasoning on top!

  • Good job looks great.

  • i never tried bloody mary but i would like to. Is it good? :)

  • i hated them at first when i first made em. this was cos i only used a couple of ice cubes and tasted awesome. it's best to fill the glass with ice and used really cold tomato juice. now i luv em! i make a mean one although i quite often use a a pre mix cos i'm lazy :P

  • Hi Blake: good video, just a question:

Don't you use lemon or lime juice?

  • Yes you do... I mention Sweet & Sour in the video, but a fresh squeeze of citrus is almost always a good call! Thanks for the feedback! Blake

  • oops!, thanks so much. I missed the sweet and sour part.

    Cheers!

  • Hey Buddy... I really appreciate your comments. Please feel free to offer more insight. Thanks!

  • Thanks!

I missed the sweet and sour part.

    Cheers!!

  • instead of vodka i use busch lite beer

  • loooks good i am making my version tonight .

what is A1 that u said was in the bloody mary base mix ?

  • A1 is a steak sauce sold in the states. A savory, flavorful brown sauce with spices and a little vinegar zing. Use a little but not too much.

  • I've tasted this before.. it tastes so good. (:

  • I think it needs a little less garnishing;

  • i would never drink this whem im out at party or clubing and the reason is i dont like to get a Diarrhea while out clubing and this looks like full meal with all the shit in it jsut no good best drink for when ur out clubing is vodka and grapefruit or redbull

  • I am afraid of these... ever since i snuck a taste of one from my mother when i was a young'un... course that was a Caesar (clamato instead of tomato juice) and i almost Yacked... course that was a while ago therefore i MIGHT be able to have one now... but... still... :D

You are pretty much awesome to watch, Blake.

  • nice

  • that celery is huge!!! lol
