When you think about it, burning a dead body until it's a jar of ashes could sound pretty horrible for a people who likes their deceased relatives intact in the ground, and vice versa (leaving it under to rot, as opposed to burning it cleanly). So eating grandpa is just another way of handling the body, and who's to say it's horribly disrespectful?

I do believe the US has the technology and the resource to become completely energy independent using renewable energy source if our government put effort into it, but when you have all these corporations fighting for government subsidies ( Nuke, Coal, Shale, etc. ) they will use the media to downplay other tech, such as Solar, Geothermal, Tidal, smart grid, etc.
