When speaking to christians their main push for me to believe is for the promise of heaven and the advoidance of hell. If those weren't the two main reasons for being "Christ like", then why are they the most preached doctrines? This is what gives credit to the preaching fear theory. How would you feel if people treated you good based on a reward or punish .

Those are good questions, but the war is not IN heaven..it WAS in heaven and has moved to earth and now we are involved. Unfortunatley, those who end up in hell made that choice on their own. It would make me sad to see friends and family there too, but me being there in torment with them is not going to change the torment they're in. If I don't want them to suffer, I have to point them to the truth..It's up to them to recieve it.
