First I would like to say that Cree Summer is the most wonderful and passonate woman I have ever heard sing. I'm a 27 year old man and was going through a really rough time in my life and was really sad and depressed and this song helped me so much. As i listened to her powerful words, I cried alot and let all my feelings out and it helped me to express my feelings more. I learned that a person doesn't have to always bottle their feelings inside all the time, cry it out and you'll feel better.

My mom always says "God helps those who help themselves" and that's what comes to mind when I hear this song. If you're waiting for something to happen or waiting for a blessing without trying to make a way for yourself, it wont happen. That's not how salvation works.
